Good read ed, but I can't help but notice the absence of Billy Gilmour! Were his last two starts not enough to get him on the list?

He made Roy Keane turn the TV volume up!

{Ed001's Note - not yet mate. He did look exceptional though!}

I like the enthusiasm, J mate, but 2 matches aren't near enough to put him on a top 10 in the world list :-P

That said, imagining a midfield of Ampadu and Gilmour behind a guy like Loftus-Cheek or Mount sounds very appealing.

Yeah, we don't need to get too carried away. But, hopefully he'll be a bit more than a holding / defensive player in a couple of years.

Out of the 10 you've listed who do you think would be the best signing for Chelsea - purely on style?

{Ed001's Note - Partey or Niguez as they can play any of the midfield roles.}

Thanks Ed, I really like the look of both players too l.

I think we're seeing some very nice midfield foundations developing within the squad Jackson. It killed me seeing Kante, Kovacic and Jorginho all playing together, especially against teams who were sitting back.

We looked so much better recently with Mount and Barkley as part of the three and Gilmour holding. I think we'll see Barkley, Jorginho and possibly even Kante phased out over the next couple of years. But in Kovacic, Gilmour, Mount, Loftus-Cheek and the potential promise of Gallagher and Anjorin there is a lot to be excited about without looking at midfield signings.

{Ed001's Note - it always feels more exciting when the players are coming through the youth system.}

Yeah, and Sky Sports are reporting our interest in Declan Rice.

They must right sometime - right?

No need for Rice if you've got Ampaduuuuuu! :-)
