Reading posts about spending big money got me thinking something.

How many of us actually remember Chelsea before Mr Abramovich bought the club?

I certainly do. I used to go to the bridge with my dad and brother in the early 90s up until the now (not so much now as I live abroad) my whole family are Chelsea supports. my cousin actually coaches the children (not sure what age group but around 8 or 9 i think.

Certainly have been good times dihanio. It’s why, at the end of the day we should trust the club.

I’m actually against Chelsea spending money now, just don’t want to see it wasted like previous years with Baka, Drinkwater etc.

Fans will support how they like Tom and don’t HAVE to listen to you.

That’s correct 06111981 and likewise. That’s why it’s called a banter site.

It’s all about opinions!

Think you need to learn the meaning of banter, you take everything far to seriously on here. Have you not had any in a very long time?

What name or names you going to use next week?

I don’t know yet I’ll have a think 🤔 i’m sure I’ll think of something. Meanwhile you should think of something to stop being so miserable pal.

As I’ve said before, I’m never miserable “pal” except when we lose and thankfully that’s not happened to often over the last 15 years or so!

I hate to hear us say we wasted money on players. Let's be honest the players people are mentioning are all gambles weather you buy hazard or barkley who knows if they would workout or not. It could be down to our system that doesn't work for them or personal reasons (home sick, culture)

Some signing come off and some don't it doesn't mean the club are settling for second best or fifth best if you listen to people on here. You can't spend beyond your means anymore. So why would we pay over the odds for players.

I personally wouldn't buy Sancho, zaha, baily I would give hudson odoi the time,
I wouldn't buy ake or koulibly I would give tomori the time.
Not chilwill I would give that young LB the time.

I would settle for a period of time with the young lads that are chelsea bread.

{Ed001's Note - is that not the point though? That Chelsea should have done that a while ago, instead of buying the likes of Barkley that were clearly second rate signings before they were signed. Chelsea have such a good youth system that the only players bought should be top tier players, who fill gaps in the team or clearly improve on the ones already there, such as Kante. The likes of Barkley were just wasted money, on a player with a known drink and attitude problem, when you already had better options such as RLC in your squad.}

Ed001 I completely agree with you. And rlc is one of my favourite players as I have said before I would love to see a midfield of
Kante
Rlc mount

Then with a front three of

Pulisic odoi
Tammy

Never liked barkley but the club took a gamble on a player with premier league experience and it hasn't paid off.

But I saw hazard as a £30 + million gamble aswell but that one did pay off.

{Ed001's Note - Hazard was a top tier gamble though. That's the kind of gamble you have to take to win things.}
