I read on skysport that Chelsea may consider including Giroud for Zaha with some cash, which I find interesting. Just want to know what you call think while we wait for the Ed002's update when convenient.

Again we also need a midfield 'General' to bring balance that I feel we lack. Better with the ball and worst off it. Of all Jorginho's qualities he lacks pace required for defensive duties.

Just like Fabregas with us, other players around have to cover to make up his deficiency. A weak link that should be binding the attack and the defence. Who do you think can do it?

We need a Kevin de Bruyne -- unbelievable that we once had him and let him go even though we know there was much competition in attacking midfield at that stage.

{Ed002's Note - It is far from "unbelievable".}

I don't think Giroud will go to Palace. He can still do a good job for a club like Inter - as far as I know this all came about from an interview John Solako did on a radio show.

Two, or all three, of Kante, Kovacic and Jorginho shouldn't be on the same pitch togethe in games where teams sit back, are organised and challenge us to break them down.

I think Jorginho is a good player. But, when we are not in possession, the pace of a Premier League game can pass him by.

Out of the three Kovacic has been our best player this season - and is the most combative. Personally I'd sit him deep in games against the likes of West Ham, Everton and Bournemouth with two more creative midfielders ahead of him.

Kante is obviously a great player. I'm just not sure he fits into what we're trying to do at the moment though. He's apparently looking at his options (Real Madrid and Juventus) and it wouldn't surprise me at all of he leaves in the summer.

Loftus-Cheek is obviously who we miss but we do need another midfielder to rotate with him in the LCM position and I do have a soft spot for Julian Brandt.

I would doubt it as he’s just moved to Dortmund. But if RLC doesn’t come back the same he’s definitely the player I’d move for. He’s 6 ft 1 as well so be nice to add an extra physical presence in midfield.

Ed, we sold our best attacking midfielder at the time and now look at him. If you don’t think that’s unbelievable that’s on you. Everyone else does.

{Ed002's Note - You clearly don’t understand the circumstances.}

Makes sense Ed2, with every sale there is bound to be reasons. Also hindsight is a very important word, with hindsight every club will never make mistakes.

I'd like to add that KDB has made made massive improvements since he left Cheldea. So whether it all would have happened at Chelsea whilst being young is up in the air.

de bruyne was not our best attacking mifielder at the time come off it he was young an raw an had no desire to stay an fight for his place he wanted out for gaurenteed regular game time both parties didn't stand in each others way it is what it is it happens no point constantly going on about him an lukaku an salah at the time we had them they were clearly not ready or good enough at d time they all progressed with regular game time elsewhere helping them become the player they did.
