I'm really worried about goals going forward just as much as defence. CHO isn't looking very confident or impacting from the bench and Pedro is finished and on his way out. If we can't get a Koulibaly type maybe the best type of defence is to attack and just concentrate on getting goal scorers and creators in in January and I obviously don't mean Zaha. If we can offload Giroud and Pedro and bring in Sancho and maybe Dembele that's quality business.

Willian and Pulisic aren't the greatest goal scorers anyway although I think Pulisic will end up as a Sterling type player. We've got no one else to bring in with CHO's form and confidence so maybe we should aim for attackers in January and defenders and a keeper in the summer.

I do think we will sign Ake in this window and it seems reasonable that Giroud will leave. I also think Alonso could go.

Not sure about Pedro, I think he may well stay for the season.

We could also do deals similar to the Pusilic deal. Buy now join in the summer.

I think one big issue for CHO is the lack of variety in the way he attacks. 99 times out of 100 he’ll pick up the ball wide left and break inside and unleash a shot without looking to make a pass or go outside. Teams are starting to pick up on this pattern and will collapse on him once he gets the ball while preventing him from getting a clear shot on net.

Agree with you Tk he’s very predictable.

CHO is a young lad coming back from a bad injury and with a lot to learn. Let’s try and be patient.

Just for the sake of perspective. Hudson-Odoi is only 19, he's only just turned 19.

People will point towards his massive contract and say he must do better, but maybe that contract has put him under more pressure? He does habitually cut in and shoot, but to my eye that's the sign of him feeling the pressure and desperately trying to be impactive off the bench.

Also think CHO must be given time (and game time! ) to confirm how good he is as he's still v young and has bags of talent though obviously mental strength key too. Always hard to come back from nasty injury, and regaining confidence (crucial) part of that so that CHO will start backing himself to e. g. take on and beat defenders on outside. Bayern knew what potential he has, and so do CFC.
