Hazard talking about wanting to leave Chelsea for Madrid and had meeting with Perez and Perez told him he is wanted, hazard then said last year at chelsea was easier knowing he was going to Madrid, I though I'd miss him and he was very special but he talks too much, and isn't that a bit of tapping up from Perez .

Matt, I’m not a fan of old players making comments about their previous clubs and I have to admit that I never forgave John Hollins when he left our club as a player.

IMO we just have to move on and try and remember the good times that these players give us. Or, it ends up like a bad divorce, full of acrimony and negativity.

We are Chelsea, we are bigger and better than that. At least that’s what I tell the grandkids.

The contact was made after the WC and no one can have any complaints how he performed last season.
That showed his respect for the club and the fans despite his disappointment at not joining Madrid earlier.
Nothing he might say now will change the joy he gave me through his incredible talent and the trophies he helped us win.

Madrid always nudge their players to make similar comments. As others have said, he performed admirably last season regardless of who he wanted to be playing for. He left the club in a good position in an amicable manner and should be appreciated accordingly. That said, the 100m+ that marina procured for him is already looking to be incredible business.

Agreed Turvey. He was tremendous last season and honestly I thought he was the most enjoyable player I’ve seen play in a long time, at times was effortless. However I’m very happy with how this season is going so I don’t particularly miss him but definitely wish him well in Madrid.

I was once told that us signing Robert Fleck was part of the package that allowed Jukebox to go to Spurs.

I was told Spurs and us both wanted Fleck so a deal over dinner was arranged.
