At the end of last year I was getting excited about Kepa. He had an inconsistent start but he improved and put in some big performances to get me confident for this year.

Where has it gone? He's been awful again today his hands can be so weak at times.

No way good keeper and still very young.

Kepa is a weird one right now. In the Liverpool game he made some saves that were really, really good. In other games, however, he looks subpar - both yesterday and against Norwich weren't his best days. I really like him and think he is good, but I really do find it strange how inconsistent he is at times.

In his defense I think keepers are somewhat like referees in that the good ones can go unnoticed. To me I think he’s a pretty darn good shot stopper; not to the level of de gea but definitely not weak in that department. He certainly isn’t the best at commanding high balls into the box but he’s relatively short and not the strongest keeper in the world. He definitely could do a better job of directing the defense from the back which was a skill I thought Cech mastered whereas Courtois never grasped.

Kepa is probably the best of the three with his feet which is becoming more important these days. I hope that with time he will develop physical strength to gain more control of his area in addition to a stronger personality in marshalling his defense. It’s certainly a positive that the last two managers of Spanish have had him splitting time with de gea.
