Anyone seen much of Ruben Dias the CB from Benfica? Just seen a lot of clubs linked with him I've heard he's had rave reviews as a young leader who's vocal and quality at the back. Thinking we might need to enter the market for someone like that soon. I've got a funny feeling the ban might get overturned for January.

{Ed001's Note - Ruben Dias profile.

I think stick with ampadu he's already shown improvement and leadership. Hopefully this season is great for him.

Seems abit lightweight for the premier just now then I think we lack someone really dominant with some experience maybe Romagnoli or Koulibaly type. Upamecano looks good but he’s also still young. Maybe José Gimenez too.

I will not take Ampadu or any other in experienced centre back/ half into this present Chelsea team. I feel that the central defense dept is really crying out for top quality addition. I haven't seen Ruben Dias, so I can't say much about his ability but Chelsea needs top quality and experience in that department of the team.

Out of some names mentioned think I’d like Romagnoli. He’s 25 experienced and a leader, he’s also dominant in the air and doesn’t go to ground much which shows a top quality defender. Him being left footed is a fantastic bonus too.

We need to bite the bullet and pay the asking price for Koulibaly.

While I would be over the moon with signing either Koulibaly or Romagnoli, I think we should be realistic. First, Koulibaly is 28. I think moving to us in this stage of his career would see him regress a bit. As for Romagnoli, I think that he would be an amazing signing, but would he want to leave Milan? He's the captain of Milan and Italy, I don't think he'll leave.

I agree Matt but if we want to get back to the top again we need to make a statement. Sancho being another one.
