Talk of Sarri being sacked and replaced by Lampard has to be bull, right?

I'd like to think so but it wouldn't surprise me if it were true. Sarri has been mistreated by a lot of our fan base all season long. The constant boo's at everything he does, the pathetic chants and even going at Jorginho because he came with Sarri despite him being one of our better players this season. You'd think we finished mid table with everything that's been talked about with him and Chelsea. He achieved what was asked of him and more so to sack him would be ridiculous, but if i was him personally i wouldn't want to manage at the club anymore and i don't think Chelsea would stand in his way. The idea of Lampard being our manager doesn't fill me with confidence at all, they'd be a better feel around the club especially with the fans but to hire such an inexperienced manager will only end badly for me.

What a disaster. Lampard a club legend but hardly got the experience, got into play offs on final day and could be on way out playoffs tonight. It’s a heart of head rumour. Ridiculous,

If the rumours to sack Sarri turn to fruition then it will go lengths into proving why we are a joke of a club for managers. It would be an embarrassment to sack somebody who finishes 3rd and ahead of prodigal son - Poch.

I don't buy into the stupid rumours. But it is clear that some of our fans have mistreated Sarri. Not sure what some of them want.

Shak, I have defended Sarri throughout the season even though I didn’t want him as our manager.

I also think he has probably achieved what the club asked him to achieve.

BUT, he hasn’t helped himself with his stubbornness and rigid tactics. Some sections of fans at matches and online have made their anger very clear and in my view it’s been over the top but people are entitled to express there view, even though I find some of the comments disgusting.

I think the notion of Lamps as our manager is to soon and I would prefer Sarri to be given more time.

I think the club would probably like to keep him, but the fans' consistent booing isn't helping I guess.

I hope the match going fans start supporting Sarri again. While I want Lampard tot eventually be our coach, it's too soon for him right now. Let him learn and grow at Derby.

Your a well respected poster Tom, I respect your posts. Rightfully you always get behind the team regardless of the situation. Your right Sarri Sarri was stubborn and Rigid but I think near the end he was doing what we all wanted with his selections. He definitely deserves a 2nd season. He will turn the fans opinions around. no doubt.

I'm sorry gents but I can't see him turning it around with the match going supporters. He has made no effort at all to build any sort of relationship with the supporters. Just as an example, we go up to Leicester on Sunday and he didn't even bother to come over to us, unlike the players.

It now looks as though he is too stubborn to try and build that relationship. If he tried it could help but he won't.

and why do u want the manager to go up to the fans?

thats a load of BS . Sarri has got us playing some good football. He has helped develop the youth at Chelsea. SLowly but steadily we are, as a team improving.

Its the job of the fans to support their team . do that as fans, don't ask the mamager to come wave hands . honestly the atmosphere at the stadium has been poor. we should be the voice that shold drive our team up with confidence . Do the job of a Fan . a suppoter.

Sorry dareyk but that's far too simplistic. As a manager you have to take the match going supporters with you. It's all well and good having internet fans who loved how his Napoli team played last season but this year the football has been absolutely turgid. He got found out early in the season and can't set the team up in an alternative way.

I'm not quite sure that he has developed the youth either but we can agree to disagree on that one. After all, Loftus-Cheek isn't 'youth' anymore and was playing in the World Cup last year. If you mean CHO, he had to be dragged kicking and screaming into giving him a chance.

The job of supporters at the match is to support the team. It's not their job to support a manager. It's also not 'waving hands' it's about a manager showing some appreciation to the supporters for the cost and effort of travelling up and down the country every other week to support his team. I've clocked up over a thousand games going to support Chelsea at home, away and abroad so with the greatest of respect I don't need you to tell me how to support the club.

You are an ardent supporter of Chelsea . i haven't had the chance to visit SB but i support with all my heart.

I would not hold it against Sarri if he doesn't show any appreciation for the fans as long as he does good on the pitch with the team. I do agree that he has been rigid at times but that is cause of the players at his disposal . a longer time with the team training and the right players and we can see more to changes implemented when things don't go right . he has done well to show the team that we can win a football game with a more fluent style of play.

You could agree to disagree and that's fine. I am in support of Sarri and what he has done for the club and the players. RLC CHO RB even EH . i feel we have an identity now which we were missing at the time of Conte and the 2nd coming of Jose.

do u agree that the atmosphere at the game should be better and more supportive or the team, irrespective of the fact that the manager appreciates the supporters?

Yes dareryk, I do agree with you that the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge should be better. This isn't just about Sarri though. We have had problems with the atmosphere for a few years now and it's down to a number of issues unfortunately. Part of it is the style of play and performance of the team. We have had this at times under all of Mourinho, Conte and now Sarri. It's a chicken and egg thing. The supporters have to get the team up and the team have to give the supporters something to cheer about. Both haven't been good enough at doing their job this season. I'm hoping that with a few months off everyone can re-charge their batteries as the atmosphere around the ground has not been at all healthy this season. Sarri hasn't helped that as he has come across as a very stubborn and grumpy figure.
