Ed018,
Is there a reason that Chelsea FC wait till the last day to make a move for some of their targets.
is it a strategy which has clubs cornered to make a quick decision rather than make more demands (monetary or otherwise)

i always feel that we wait and wait and wait and then move very close to deadline day which then makes it hard for other clubs to put in a counter bid

fellow posters - what do u guys think?

{Ed018's Note - I have no idea. It drives me nuts}

Its because we cannot get into a bidding war with other clubs. We simply don't have the resources to get into a bidding war with the likes of City, United, Liverpool, Madrid etc. (I read that somewhere, but cannot for the life of me, remember where! )

Risky this season with the sellers not needing to sell by our deadline, our deadline being earlier could be very favourable for clubs in other leagues.

good point there, I was thinking the same

this strategy would leave us in a bit of a bother, i suspect.
7 days to go, we will know soon enuf

CHO is like a new signing for us and hope he can kick off from here.
RLC has to put in a shift or else he would not ever be good enuf for us
RB will be a my pick for this year for Chelsea amongst the usuals.
