oscar? what have he done today? I thought he was weakest link in the team today

2.) 18 Aug 2014
Seriously why is everyone hating Oscar at the moment? He linked up well with Matic and Fabregas, wasn't amazing today but didn't do anything wrong I can remember. It was him keeping it alive by winning a header that created that goal.

3.) 18 Aug 2014
Why is there always one fan that has something to moan about! We were class today all over the pitch! There's no pleasing some people

4.) 18 Aug 2014
It's not necessarily a moan it is just stating fact. Oscar was not good today (again) I think if we can get a good price for him we should move him on.

5.) 18 Aug 2014
Oscar was good, didn't do anything wrong. What do you mean again? This is our first game of the season. 1st half of the season he was our best player, yes he was poor the second half but all this criticism of a 22y/o who has been a regular in our team for two years is a joke and unwarranted. Don't understand all this hate for him, seems people have moved the unwarranted criticism of Ramires to Oscar. Should support whoever starts for us unless they have obvious shortcomings affecting the team.

Oscar was good - on today's performance the only area we need to improve is replace torres

7.) 19 Aug 2014
Oscar was good, but shown with his final pass his no NO 10

8.) 19 Aug 2014
Spearce you sound like a broken record mate. Let me spell it out for you. Cavani ain't coming. So how about you pet it go. The team played great some stand our performances but again the team played great, I have no qualms, would like to see a different kind of striker come in for Torres other than that I think we should all be happy, and buzzed for the season .

9.) 19 Aug 2014
Eli don't believe I mentioned cavani in my post? I would sell Oscar if we can get a good price for him and put the money towards pogba or reus/isco. If psg offered us cavani I would also not turn that down. I thought this site was about offering opinions so that is exactly what I do.

We played 433 last night and it looked excellent. About Oscar, he is the only Chelsea player who has potential to play like Fabregas in the future. Potential to become fantastic offensive central midfielder-creative one. About Hazard as more as look at him more I have impression that he would be fantastic attacking midfielder . He doesn't look like impressive winger but he has amazing ability to hold, control and pass the ball to strikers and create chances that way. All in all we have potential to win PL&CL this or next season 3 crucial signings made it possible Fabregas, Matic and D.Costa.

Oh dear, another Oscar bash, I won't defend him with the '' over played excuse '' because he has had enough rest, and he doesn't need defending, he played well! He can play better true, but who is saying isco/reus/cavani or even pogba could do a better job. A lot of people are so intent on buying new players when they are not needed. It is easy to say Player ''A'' would be better than current player ''B'', but ''A'' has not probably played in the Premier league, probably not played along side our squad and probably not with our tactics, people need to understand that a players quality will not just transfer from one squad to another. I am more than happy with Oscar and our current squad. At least get rid of the non starting dead wood first, i.e Torres and Mikel.
Ok rant over.
COYB!

I never mentioned that oscar has to be sold, I love the guy just saying that he was weakest link in my eyes in yesterdays performance. I know that he will come good but as spearce said This is just my opinion!

Oscar is obviously a wonderfully naturally talented footballer and has a great work ethic to go along with it. However he does need to start having a larger impact on games.

If you look at how Fabregas dictated play and delivered some sublime football in his first league game for the club then you can see why people are expecting a little more from Oscar. It's a little harsh to compare the two, but if Oscar wants to be the best he will need to impose himself a little more.

I'm sure he has the talent to do so, but you need to have the mental attributes to go along with it. Hopefully he will kick on and have a great season. If not then I can see him moving on.
