Don't get me wrong, but I must admit that I am impressed what Martinez and Rodgers did last season with relatively average squads. They've had far weaker squads compared to Man.City, MU, Arsenal or Chelsea and they ended up second and fifth. Amazing job done.
I hope JM.will get the right system especially against lesser teams which was the biggest Chelsea problem last season. With given players 433 is probably the best solution. Also I have to admit that I am a bit scared after I've seen MU playing under LVG. Quite impressive.

I think that over the course of the season we will become far to strong for anyone else out there, man u will be better than last season [but that won't be hard] and Everton and Liverpool won't be problems for us. All wrapped up with three games to go I predict!

Chn, there are teams out there that are ready to fill the void left by any of the top 5. Moreso, they will not be in several cup competitions and as such have a better advantage to suceed in the league. Liverpool did not play in the Champ. Lge last season and so was Everton. Also, limelight and pressure is not always the same as you have them on top 5 in Premiership. No-one would consider 15-goal striker of a big club as top notch, whereas it is a good season with smaller clubs. Weight factors are never the same with top and average club.

I do believe that this seasn will be even more interesting than last one sadly I see man u coming back to top 4 this season. But I think if you can call any seasons the most unpredictable one it has to be this one

I think man city are going to be strong & quick this year as will Liverpool! We have a stronger squad than Liverpool, United & arsenal. Even if we put out our best 11 the bench looks just as good & I haven't seen that in a few years

5th for Chelsea, . don't expect anything better with Borinho there.

{Ed018's Note - clueless}

6.) 08 Aug 2014
5th? we finished 3rd without a striker scoring more than 10 PL goals (i think) and have strengthened our midfield with Fabregas. Add to that Willian, Matic and Schurrle are now more settled and Hazard and Oscar are also likely to improve naturally with age. I don't see how we would go backwards. Didn't lose to a team in the top 6 let year either. If we work out a way to break down teams that sit deep we will walk it.

We will see who's clueless @ the end of the season - the Chelsea fans as usual! City, Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool will be up there. U lot will have to be fighting for 5th with Everton and Spurs.

{Ed018's Note - whatever you say. Now get back to your own page}

Lol what a joker. He knows nothing

9.) 08 Aug 2014
Why come on here and call our Ed clueless? Liverpool won't finish in the top four, fact! Last season they only had the EPL to deal with. This season they've sold their star man and are going to have mid week football. All the have done is buy average players at best. They will not get out the group stages of the CL and finish outside the top four. Arsenal will be short at the back after selling their best CB. And united need to make improvements. I see it as a two horse race, which we will win. So bore off big lad!

See you! U tell him.ed018!

U watching the game mate?

{Ed018's Note - yes}

Some people can't stand the fact that Cesc and D.Costa are Chelsea players now and the fact that Chelsea has one of the best squads in Europe. For god sake why do you come to Chelsea banter page if you are not Chelsea fan? So immature.
