I'm really surprised chelsea aren't interested in Bony as a back up striker. He actually had a very good debut season in my eyes last year. Strong, good at aerial duels, has above average hold up play, a mean shot and can finish. If Lukaku leaves, Bony could be a fantastic back up option to Costa.
I'm not a fan of going for Cavani. So Aubameyang or Bony would be my choices. Cheaper and they could be very useful.
Thoughts on other possible back up striker options?

I would like the backup striker to be someone that can offer something different from Costa. Pace, clever play and runs, also if we start with two up top in a game they would both compliment eachother. So this goes without saying Bony is not the man. Aubemeyang however is a good shout, Falcao would have also been great, he and Costa worked really well at Athletico but seems his off to Real.
There are lots of players out there who are young goal scorers and have the ability but the question is would the club be willing to take a risk on unproven players in the premier league Volland, Firmino, Iturbe? (El sharaawy?)
Aubemeyang looks the most likely but things could change. It is the silly season.

I'm surprised aswell that Chelsea isn't interested in Bony, rumours of Drogba coming back as coach aswell would suit having Bony at Chelsea, I think Costa/Lukaku/Torres will be the strikers, Chelsea need another centre back if Zouma leaves on loan, plus Khedira would be the final piece of the jigsaw, maybe Chelsea should go for Reus or Benzema if Madrid sign Falcao

Would love it if we got Reus but doesn't seem likely. Would swap Reus for Oscar and then switch to a 4-3-3 with Reus, Costa and Hazard up front.
