I really hope this rumour about Matic is wrong he is an average international footballer worth close to £10m than £30m.
Spending that much on a player when we have Mikel to play DM is ludicrous.
But if Jose wants him I guess that's deal done.

He's exactly what we need, someone who sits back which will let Ramires bomb forward to join the attack. He is also classy on the ball, a very good passer and crossed and most importantly looks to pass the ball forward he's not a negative player. His physical presence in the middle is also something which we've been lacking since ballack was here winning the aerial battles. Matic holding infront of Cahill and Terry gives us the perfect balance IMO. Lamps is close to retiring, Essien isn't the bison he was and Mikel has never been consistently good enough for Chelsea. So If De Bruyne leaves for 17 million in a position where we have too much quality and Matic arrives for 20 million for a position in which we're lacking I'm over the moon with that bit of business. And once more we get Lukaku back end of season. With that balance were going to be a force to be reckoned with!

He is going to cost more but includesMMarkovic as well-not immediately. Difference between Matic and Mikel is that 80% of his passes goes forward and Mikel's backward.

I'm with you Shed. I remember maybe 2 years ago, when all this Mikel only passes backwards nonsense started that the stats that came out, which compared about 10 PL teams players, Mikel ranked 2nd or 3rd for positive passes, or foward passes, as it were. Yaya Toure was 8th or so.

The talk of him being a solely negative passer is rubbish. He may not be picking out 40 yarders on a daily basis, but he isn't picking out Cech every time either.
