I know you have said a few words on the Ratcliffe bid, and forgive me, if you feel like you have already answered this, or that you do not wish to answer it. What I'm wondering is if Ratcliffe buying the club is actually a possibility, or if a new owner has already been chosen in a way that makes it impossible for Ratcliffe to buy the club?
So, in other words, if his bid was too late?

On another note - as a person who knows so much about the game, and what goes on behind the scenes, do you happen to think either of the bidders are more suited than the rest? If so, I would love to hear your opinion!

{Ed002's Note - (a) Yes it is a possibility, it is up to the owner and advice he gets from the board of the club and others he trusts. (b) A new owner has not yet been chosen, the Raine Group and the club have already had the final pitches and have made a decision on the proposal to be presented to the owner. (c) In my personal opinion, Jim Ratcliffe is a really nice guy and would be the perfect owner; and by a long way my preferred choice. He has the benefit of not being part of a large consortium which could see separate factions develop nor would they take on debt to part-fund their bid. There is a complication over Nice that would need a plan to resolve.}

Thanks a lot for your reply! I think of him a something close to the ideal owner, as well. I've always followed cycling closely, and I like the ambition he showed when he bought Team Sky!

I was thinking the same Emil, the ambition he has shown with Team INEOS have left a really good impression me as a cycling fan. Additionally, him saying that he's not interested in Chelsea because of profits, but rather because he wants to build a strong London club is really encouraging. Although it's probably too late, I really do hope he ends up being our new owner.
