Did Newcastle really bid, 40 odd million for Borja? Wow if that’s true that’s a lot for a 19 year old who has only played 6 months in the EPL .

If they are willing to go to 60m I wouldn’t mind if we sold.

Personally I think he’s good enough to play for Chelsea. I’d like to see us keep him.

Considering how underwhelming our first team strikers have been I don't see why we'd sell for anything other than a ridiculous offer like 100m. Broja could easily save us 50-60 mio in a year or 2, and he's on a long term contract. Why would we sell?

Agree with the both of you, I do think he’d make it in our team! But as I said 60m got a 19 year old, that’s a lot and in the grand scheme of things I’d understand if the club did sell! That’s just a scenario I’ve come up with though, I don’t see anyone offering that much for him so I do hope he stays with us and gets into the team next season!

Who knows though, Newcastle might just be crazy enough :p.

It’s simple- the boy (Armando Broja) has got ability. He’s clearly showing week in week out what we don’t have in our team. The club has to be crazy if they sold him now (with all the interest from different clubs) without giving him the opportunity to show what he can do with the team. Personally, I have posted way before now that he came simply replace Timo Werner in our squad.

My thought is that they have seen something in him which us obvious. I believe it was a mistake sending him out on loan. Could have been better than lukaku so far and broken into the team with little or no pressure. Coupled with our injury crisis ib the attack.
Again I feel it was a mistake too selling lamptey. We may not be doing enough to back tt which is a concern for me. The team has obvious shortcomings but not enough is done to sorting them out.
