Hearing off various sites Ruben could be out more or less all season. Is it worth planning to replace him for the future? I'm gutted cause I'm unsure if he'll ever come back from this injury you know. He's had niggles for a long time I think he's going to end up going down the Jack Wilshere route talented but his career ruined by injuries but I pray to god I'm wrong. He's a massive player for us and it just shows now how much we get dominated in midfield without him. His physique and technique on the ball was similar to Reece James, a Rolls Royce.

I'd suggest that's a good thing for his other aliments to get proper rehabilitation on his lower back. Great talent who shouldn't be rushed back.

This is one injury, he has a reoccurring back injury, then there’s always a small niggling injury, we should get him as fit as we can and sell, his a good player but to injury prone, can never rely on him.

Ed 001 already said Ruben will be out all season a couple of months ago shame could of been his year.

Glad he's hopefully going to be protected and stay out for the season, especially since the crap Odoi's been getting because he's struggled since coming back from a similar injury. Would rather Ruben stay out even if he's fit and give him the summer and pre season. As for replacing him if by next season nothing changes and he's still getting injured then yes, i think we need to look at getting in a replacement. But our midfield is hardly a priority in the market atm so he'll be given time.

Hi ed not really interested in transfer rumours. This is more of interest to me.
Is there any news on Rubens injury, how bad was it, how long does this sort of injury take to heal.

Just been watching some of his videos, although you always see the best bits but he is some player. Mainly the games for palace.

As I have said before I would like to see kante mount and Ruben.

{Ed001's Note - I am not 100% sure, as different people tell you different things, you can talk to one person who tells you there is nothing to worry about and the next will tell you his career is likely over. As Chelsea won't give full info out, it is difficult to be sure who is right.

The very fact that they are not giving out full info suggests there is a serious problem there, but it is only inference, as that is all we can go on. I certainly don't expect him back this season and there do seem to be issues for the long term with him. He is certainly not a quick healer, so any dates given out are rarely correct, as he usually takes longer than the standard time.

From what has been said by people who have worked with him in the past, there is a problem there, one did say they expect RLC to end up being extremely injury-prone and unlikely to ever play a full season in his career. However, they could have an axe to grind, so again a pinch of salt is needed.}
