So what is your team vs Man City Guys?

My team for the game is the following; two main talking points - Reece James and Kante.

Reece James

Jorginho
Kovacic
Kante

Pulisic
Willian
Abraham

I think Reece James is the player to handle Raheem Sterling. He is very quick and will be able to overpower Sterling physically. Azpi is a great professional, however, he will be beaten too many times should he start given his lack of pace and Sterling's pace and trickery. Furthermore, Reece James will be able to make the most of any attacking chances we create which will be vital for us in this game. He can build on that performance vs Zaha. The rest of the back 4 are no brainers.

I would keep the combination of Kovacic and Jorginho in the middle of the park. Not only have they been phenomenal this season, however, in a game like this they will be able to keep possession for us which is important. Against Man City you need players that are confident in possession and are press resistant and these two are the very best in our sqaud in terms of possession and resisting the opposition press. If we can't keep hold of the ball vs City then it will be a long afternoon.

Kante's energy will be important in this game and he is defensively more astute which will be very important vs Man City. Mount's omission makes us less threatening perhaps but I think Mount's influence will be minimal and Kante's will be significant.

The rest of the guys in the line up are no brainers.

I’d go with that too but I just hope frank sticks with Reece, I think he’ll start Azpi and then Reece midweek. Now N’Golo is back we can rotate in midfield as well. Mount should come in midweek to give Kovacic another rest.

My team as well Shak but I have a feeling he will somehow squeeze Mount in as well, possibly for Pulisic. Not my choice but I think Lamps will play him for his pressing and energy.

I have the same feeling too G8. Plus we got a big game against Valencia shortly afterwards.

Does anyone know if Pulisic has recovered from the hip injury? If Pulisic is free from injury then I think he will cause City problems, however that is dependant on whether or not he is selected.
