Ed, are chelsea really going after benteke? {Ed018's Note - not that ive heard}

Hi all.
Villa fan here.
Just like to know if you guys would like Benteke!
I am hoping not, due to his experience, he is a very good player.
but would he get the playing time with Ba, Torres, etc.
Hope this is all paper talk.

I'd like to think that Lukaku will be given a decent run in the first XI. Think he could better Benteke's maiden season. Looks quicker and stronger.

I have just read there MIGHT be a 20mil release clause in Bentekes Contract, don't think so but its .
I still think he will be with us for another year, then depending on our progress who knows.
Benteke for Ba: no chance
Lakaku + 15mil maybe

Whether you like it or not Benteke will be leaving you this season
Hopefully you get a decent replacement to keep you up like he did as Villa are a great club

Well, Benteke has handed in a transfer request. Not sure that was the best way to approach the situation. I am not too sure how I feel about us moving for him. On the one hand; he was very good last season, not perfect, but good enough. On the other hand; I think Lukaku is just as good and we have already bought him. I do not think that we need both players. I think Benteke should stay at Villa for at least one more season but obviously that looks increasingly unlikely.

From a villa fan I don't really think benteke is technical good enough and u already have lukaku who I think is probably around the same level if not better but 22million I think should be good enough

With Arsenal looking at Huguain and/or Suarez, we could do a lot worse than spending good money on Benteke.

Send them a cash plus Ba deal (maybe a loan) and I think we could get this deal done.

Hopefully we get something sorted soon as it looks like we've missed out on our main striker targets

Who needs Benteke when you have Drennan! Wouldn't mind Lukaku on loan though!
