I wouldn't want this to come across as negative but the truth must be told. I'm not confident with Chelsea under boely and Co. The club is obviously on the downward since roman left with everything going on at the club, ranging from the pattern of transfers and the administration of the club. Things are done arbitrarily without tacts.
They selling players that we should keep and keeping who should be leaving. The direction we are going doesn't fill me in with any confidence. It doesn't look the new board newly constituted doesn't look they are competent enough as we saw under roman. looks things will get worse before then pick up again under boely and Co. Can't believe we won the race to sign kai among Madrid and others only to deliver him to our rival arsenal for a fee not even up to what was paid for him. This is un-Chelsea like.
Harvertz is not in any way a flop to be sold this early. Another kind of salah kdb mistake is about to happen. I'm not aware he asked to leave and shouldn't go for lower than what was paid for him. This is just a case and there are many other inefficiencies. Chelsea used to be shrewd with transfers for quality but now anything can be bought for huge amount and dispose off qualities for peanuts. Ziyech is rumoured for just 8m etc. Something is amiss at Chelsea and could lead the club too far below if not urgently stopped.
Some players were untouchable but expect to let go the very best of the team easily to any club. the standards in club is rather going down than up with the change in the ownership. Chelsea signed the best quality players available but now we're signing for the sake of it.
This will only put us even below the half table positions. I'm really concerned about Chelsea with boely and Clueless Co. You might say it's too early but warning signs are there. I still don't understand how their choice for the ownership came about but it feels like a rigged one.
May not know the happenings inside but it doesn't look good from the outside. We seem to have given the lead to city while getting comfortable with mediocrity. Just my personal opinion on the club, post roman.

How do you know it’s not Kai who wants to go and to be fair I’ve been disappointed with him. Though I do agree why are we not off loading RLC Gallagher pulisic mount for 50million with a year left not bad money but then again westham turning 90 down for rice am sure we can get a bit more and the huge amount we have on loan that are never going to get in. All I would say is am sure they have replacements signed or they wouldn’t let them go.
{Ed002's Note - You are making things up.}

ilo,
91 games - 19 goals, Havertz has been poor! If it were a player from another team with those stats you’d agree it’s poor.
He was the one signing I was most excited about, had really high hopes for him but it never really worked, flashes of brilliance but not on a consistent basis. If we can get £65 mil for him then it’s great business IMO.

Havertz is a classy midfielder nor a striker and we only saw flashes of how good he can be. I suspect he will shine for Arsenal.

Sorry Ed I didn’t think we would let the best midfielders leave without having replacements.

I think it’s brave for a club that narrowly avoided relegation to sell their top goal scorer.

Thunderbird 2 all change this season, we will be back where we belong with a settled side under Poch and no European games to get in our way. All we have to fo is ho out if the domestic cups early and we will finish second in the league, just follow Arteta's plan from last season.

Bill I like your optimism but it has taken Arteta three and a half seasons to get to AFC to second place, and they weren't nearly as low down the leage places (as we were last season) when he started. Arteta now has the luxury of needing to bring in just a couple of really high quality players to get even closer to City. I think we of CFC need to be realistic in expectations now, and patient not keast with new manager.
To think in terms of probably at least a couple of seasons before we are challenging at the top again, because we will have lost a great deal of experience and some of our v best players, will have many younghsters who have to gel and gain EPL experience. Plus a few of the new signings can diappoint, this is almost always the case and we have made som nay new signings. So further and suely less dramatic changes in personnel will probably still be needed.
But of course if Poch and revamped squad can gain some early success before then, and a top 4 place would certainlty be that given the now established and seemingly far readier competition. But yes Poch/ we have the advantage of no Thursday night games that Arteta had to contend with.
