I hope these rumours about willian being offered to other clubs is fake because he could be superb if he just had that confidence to go past players! Cuadrado should go if anybody wanted to buy instead of loan with option to buy

Willian is 27! Just under a year younger than pedro. The guy has never scored or created enough goals and in my opinion never will. We should move him on if we have the chance.

Wouldn't bother me either asking as we're bringing quality players in like Pedro/Griezmann. Loan out Cuadrado and Kennedy (if he signs). I'd keep Moses and Traore as squad players for the cups.

In fairness to Brana, without him we wouldn't have big ears and its smaller brother in our cabinet. I too don't think he has been the world beater people have claimed for a few years, but to say he has never been good enough shows a complete lack of respect for someone that is etched into the clubs history and always puts in a shift for the club

I am one of those that have been impressed with Willian's work ethic rather than what he is in the team to do primarily but his historical goal scoring ratio is very poor and he uses his pace in a stop, start fashion. However, I would dispose of Cuadrado, Ramires, Mikel and if necessary, Moses before Willian. With Azi and Oscar behind him and told to attack more he could be useful. If we have bought Pedro I hope he works out for our sake but I still have reservations about him in the Premiership.

Hi ed I agree that moses and cuadrado also need to go but don't really care who goes first. If all 3 went we would probably need another attacking midfielder (griezman/isco) which would be perfect.

Costa was agreed earlier today but there were additional costs that Chelsea were not interested in. There was nearly a deal for Varane but it seems that the Chelsea representative left early evening astonished by the demands RM were making - Chelsea to match a release clause and pay the tax due and other costs for Laporte - in Spain that is through the roof money. Certainly Varane will be chased in the summer.}

Hi Ed, this is my first post, I was just wondering if chelsea had any interest in douglas costa of shaktar? or contemplating any kind of move for david alaba? {Ed002's Note - Manchester United, Chelsea, Rubin Kazan, Napoli, Arsenal, Manchester City and no doubt many others have been interested in Douglas Costa in the past 18 months. He was being hawked around Italy and and Portugal by Cesar Bottega over the last summer and Napoli expressed an interest. There were some talks but no offer was made. Shaktar's approach to valuing players is not dissimilar to Porto's approach. If he moves in the Summer window it may well be to Naples.}.}

That was a massive result. Remys absence really hurt us since they have fast centre halfs and drogba never threatened to get in behind. This in turn allowed them to press very high up the pitch and made it tough to play on the ground. got to say that Matic and Fabregas not getting booked is huge with the two games coming up. Also if I could have one team get relegated it would be qpr as they always give us a game.

You're right, Aron, no team in the Premier League has been fantastic this season. We haven't been playing well since about New Year and still we're top with a lead right now. That says a lot IMO. If we don't lose to United and Arsenal then I think it's pretty safe :)

It's not about "a team" being fantastic this season. I feel this is where the difference lies in the EPL compared to other leagues.Top to bottom there is no "easy" games in the EPL whereas in most if not all other leagues there are those games that are a "give in' for the top sides, where they can rest or rotate players knowing they will still get a result, this is not the case in the EPL, every game is a must win and this does impact on any teams ability to blood the youth players. I think this is unique to English football compared to other leagues.
Aron, the premier league has not been poor, but is contested every minute of every game, which is the big difference compared to other leagues, there is no breathing space and therefore little room to do other than what Jose has done this year which is start the best team at all times.
I will see JT lift that trophy this year and that then gives our club the impetus and revenue to compete next year for further honours, but be very aware the EPL title is the most important.

Confident we can get a result. Villa were so poor against Sheffield United but all the lesser teams turn up against us for some reason! Still can see us putting 3 or 4 past them! .

Mount is our current best player ( emphasis on current ) playing the best football, working the hardest, gives everything every game, after all the abuse he has come under from people like you. I think he’s done rather well for a 22 year old kid.

Ashk121, you are spot on mate, kovacic won POTY when he had no influence on us going forward and contributed nothing in regards to goals or assists.
Mason Mount is the best player we currently have, it makes me laugh that all you who doubt him and yet he gets picked every week by managers who know far more about the game than any of us. Lampard, Southgate and now Tuchel, against Spurs he was the best player on the pitch but clearly that is not good enough for some.
Havertz is lazy, doesn’t track back, doesn’t close players down, doesn’t break he’s neck to get into scoring positions, it’s day and night between him and Mount for me at the moment.

Bare in mind that mason is 22 and Callum is 20 I think, little harsh to compare them to any of those, it’s also only half time and we are winning comfortably and dominating the game so there’s no need for critique.

The most delightful thing to see is we have a solid, visible system. We have completely dominated both games with TT in charge, the football being played now compared to 2 weeks ago is mind boggling and gives us some faith about this season going forward.
The real test comes on Thursday against a better team, not fancying Kovacic and Jorginho against Ndombele and Hojberg, isolate Heung Min Son and we get 3 points.
