Hello Ed,

I've seen a rumour this morning saying we're interested in Said Benrahma from Brentford. Is there any truth to this?

I personally don't think he's good enough for Chelsea at the moment although I'd love to see him in the premier league as a half-Algerian.

Cheers.

Charva Bean

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Thanks Ed, it’s probably better we look at other targets.

Hi ed,

Do we hold an interest in faouzi ghoulam of Napoli?

Charva Bean

{Ed002's Note - Only if a deal cannot be done for Baba Rahman. There is interest in both from others.}

Any interest in Brahimi Ed?

Charva Bean

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

1.) Ok thanks

Hiya Ed,

Do Chelsea have anyone in mind for the back-up forward position if Torres, Eto'o and Ba all leave?

Cheers.

Charva Bean

{Ed002's Note - I have explained who the club are interested in. All I can add is that Chelsea had two people watch Napoli's Callejon against Cagliari and will watch Iturbe again.}

1.) Id take Costa, Lukaku and Iturbe all day long next season.

2.) If they'd use Iturbe, they might as well give Piazon a shot. I think he could be quite a solid support striker. On the other hand, Iturbe is a fantastic talent so adding him would be exciting.

3.) Is iturbe a striker or forward,, would he play up on his own or off a striker or behind them,, dunno anything about him really

4.) Thats a bit worrying considering neither Iturbe or Callejon are strikers!

5.) It's laughable how all of a sudden everybody is a striker when linked to Chelsea ha. Callejon, Iturbe and Lavezzi are all wingers. I'd play Hazard at the no.9 before them ffs ha

6.) Ok cheers ed

Ed, I don't suppose you know of any interest in Ghoulam of St. Etienne do you?

Thanks.

Charva Bean

{Ed002's Note - There is a lot of interest in him but none from Chelsea.}

1.) Ok, cheers Ed.

I wonder why we haven’t been all over the Raphael Varane deal?

I know Ed002 mentioned he was on a list that Tuchel provided, so this seems like it would have been perfect for us. An already world class CB with the highest level of experience, at an age where he still has at least 4-5 seasons at the top.

Maybe he’s asking for an extortionate wage and the club don’t see value for money?

Charva Bean

1.) 26 Jul 2021 12:44:49
Because we are penny-pinching on wages because people like Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Emerson, Barkley are all still on the books when they need shipping out.

2.) 26 Jul 2021 12:56:14
It’s his wages.

3.) 26 Jul 2021 13:12:17
If we were to pay Varane say £300k plus per week I don't think the negotiations with Christensen and Rudiger would be very easy.

4.) 26 Jul 2021 13:55:54
Penny pinching? We’re trying to buy Haaland which with fees would probs end up close to 200m and then it’s been said he wants 600k/ week so I don’t see how that is the club penny pinching? Not to mention the 200m spent last summer. There’s still 5 weeks or so left of the transfer window, people need to take a chill pill.

5.) 26 Jul 2021 19:42:13
I’m sure the club would have loved to have sold Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Barkley, Michy and others.

To sell a player you do need a willing buyer.

What has happened to Ed002? I miss him.

As a long time lurker, I’d like to say a big thank you to the ed (s) for the input on this page, it’s very helpful and insightful.
I know there’s a lot of abuse heading their way, so kudos to you for ignoring those childish people.

Hmmm recent reports seem to suggest it’s PSG that’s close to signing him. I’m hoping that’s not true and we bag him but perhaps we didn't want to pay over the odds.

Ed, do the FA have a particular reason why Chelsea can’t play there?

Charva Bean

{Ed002's Note - Yes, it is potentially for sale.}

Nope he didn’t specify. I think he genuinely believes they’re world class. I think he’s stuck in 2016.

Charva Bean

{Ed047's Note - he’s stuck somewhere CB but clearly not in the real world! 😂

I agree mate it’s gutting to see these world class players go to other teams but then again, they will all have been offered boatloads of cash which could mess up our wage structure.

I still believe we’ll do some damage in the market I just hope it will be for the right player (s) .

Couldn’t agree more mate, there are definitely positives to take out of this game fore sure. Nothing you can do a bit silly mistakes.

Aouar won’t be signing for Arsenal, he’s too good for them.

I doubt he’d have have matured and developed as well as he has with Atalanta.

You’re talking out your bum mate. Think you’re forgetting that Jorginho fouled Guendouzi who should have been sent off himself earlier in the game.
Can’t believe Arsenal fans are actually defending what happened on Saturday. Just shows you what a tinpot club they are to think that they deserve the referees help once again in an FA Cup final.
