In relation to Marko Van Ginkel, Marc Overmars has said Ajax were very interested, but that they can't compete with Chelsea financially. It would seem this one is getting closer.

1.) And I doubt, given the choice, Vitesse would sell to a rival above CFC.
I think it will all depend on the player himself, if he thinks its a good move he will come.

Hazard, Terry and Mikel have all traveled with the squad to Amsterdam. That said so has Demba Ba who is cup tied. Fingers crossed Eden at least is fit to play tomorrow.

Blue25

1.) Not concerned about Terry's injury, but without Hazard it seems likely that Moses would start, and that is a concern. Hazard would be a huge loss.

2.) I wonder if Mikel will 'find the motivation' to lift the trophy should we win it tomorrow the cheeky git

3.) I would find motivation to leave him at home and sell him in the summer, unfortunately I can't see anyone wanting him.

Good news Ed044. In the last six months this page has fallen apart. I've spent most my time trawling other pages looking for Ed002's responses and updates.

Never been impressed with him any time I have watched him, mainly for Porto and Brasil. There is a great deal of talk about how good this guy is, but he is inconsistent and can struggle to get into games. He has a ridiculously powerful shot, but again that part of game is erratic, especially from distance. For the money, I think he is a terrible buy, as a player, I don't think he offers much more than Schurrle who is younger and more tactically astute. Hulk only seems capable of playing wide in a counterattacking 433.

With hazard, Ramires is our most effective squad member playing on the counter attack. He has a good work rate in midfield and when he scores, he seems to do so when it matters. I have come to the conclusion that the majority of people posting on this site now must be 12 year olds. Opinion seems to be that only Hazard, Luiz and Mata are good players. All the rest should be sold to make way for Ronaldo, Lahm, Iniesta, Hummels, Modric (but only as back up!) etc. Oscar is a 21 year old Brazilian playing his first season abroad, and on his performances (which have been good) this year you think he one of the worst players at the club! Please! How many games will De Bruyne, Lukaku and Schurrle get before everyone decides they are not good enough? Pathetic.

Just out of interest. Would any club wanting Mourinho have to negotiate compensation with Real, despite the fact he himself looks set on leaving and the club seem to have lost patience with him? {Ed002's Note - Not if he is free from his contract with them. So if he were to leave by whatever agreement he does on June 4, on June 5 he could agree to join Arsenal or whoever.}

He was at the Lille vs AS Monaco game on Monday evening. He missed training on Tuesday supposedly because he lost his passport and couldn't get back in time.

When JM first arrived at the club the team developed it's 'spine' as the media love to label it. Cech, Terry, Lampard and Drogba. Add to this the players around them that played nearly every game, Carvalho, Makelele, Gallas and Gudjohnsen. Settled defence, settled central midfield pair and a first class striker, playing together week in, week out. For this current team to move forward we need a solid base of players that will turn out each week and develop the required understanding of the system and each of other's game in this new system to become a top team. Last night it was akin to watching 11 guys play who had met each other only 2 hours before kick-off. For me personally, from what I have seen this season so far, I think Cech, Cahill, Terry, Brana, Rami, Mata (maybe not so much on this season, but more the fact he is the best player at the club) and Oscar need to be starting nearly every game, and certainly the big games. That's not to say I think everyone apart from that is poor (I would love to have seen Ceasar and KDB more this season). More the fact, these are the players that seemed to have at least a good understanding of each other and the system itself. The club will never settle into a solid rhythm while the team is being changed around so much.

He qualifies as U21 this season so doesn't need to be included on the Premier League list.

He spent his first season at Chelsea on the bench, not on loan. He was clearly unhappy with the situation and was quoted as saying he wasted a year of his career. He is the future of the club but right now it is better for him to go out and further develop as a player than spend a season getting frustrated at Chelsea.
