A bit of new information on a potential stadium sight has come to light.
Recent information had suggested that Capital and Counties (CapCo) were extremely close to completing a deal for the current Earls Court site. Although a recent statement from The Earl's Court and West Kensington Design Review Panel, formed by the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, has cast doubt over the move. A segment of this statement reads…
"To conclude, the Panel does not support the application in its current form and remains to be convinced that the applicant's proposals are an acceptable scale and desirable form of development for this strategically important London site".
The inability of CapCo to make an acceptable proposal to the panel and its governing boroughs could leave the door open for Chelsea to either add to the bid with a joint proposal or, in the event of the CapCo bid collapsing completely, make a new bid of their own.
Very sketchy a the moment but in an age of no transfer rumours I thought I'd share what I saw.
