L'Equipe have reported that Fellaini will sign in the next week for Chelsea. The French paper are well know for their accurate reports and have always called it spot on with Chelsea over the last few seasons. Hope this is true, he would be a great addition to the squad for a good few years to come.Scott M.

Need to swap Ramires n Oscar around I think! Oscar is def not a winger but I feel Ramires will add a bit more pace there! N having Oscar working his magic centre!

Team should be... cech Cole terry cahill azpillacueta then luiz and Oscar in cm with ramires just infront then hazard and Mata either side of ba

Agree0 Disagree0

Would help if you had some wingers rather than a squad of number tens

Agree0 Disagree0

Oscar is far too lightweight for dm..

Just heard from a reliable source that Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Benat with the player remaining at his club for the remainder of the season. Chelsea are also looking to replace Mikel with Fernando of Porto in the summer.

Melbourne CFC

Believable4 Unbelievable23

First of all we need Benat now I reckon, secondly why did we get Mikel to agree a new five year deal?

Agree0 Disagree1

What's your "reliable source" Melbourne CFC? Not like you to chat BS? DJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe benitez has shown everyone that he is useless.

According to a reliable source that chelsea agree pre-contract agreement for neymar and leandro damiao

Agree0 Disagree2

I would be extremely happy with this. & for me would lighten the blow of lamps leaving end of season. BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't post this Ed. From now on if it doesn't have my e-mail it won't be me.

Melbourne CFC

Agree0 Disagree0

It is entirely possible that this is true. There is definite interest in benat, and it is already confirmed that we are looking at fernando. Why are people so quick to write this off?

Trout

Agree0 Disagree0

Had a feeling it was an impersonator.

Jordan

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt Mikel just sign an extension?

Chelsea agree pre-contract agreement for Falcao which includes a first option for Torres for Athletico. Looking like Chelsea and Athletico will be swopping number 9's.

Wots your sauce! sounds like you been talking to brown souce

Lol source?

WheelyCFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter, utter drivel

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop talking crap, Falcao will be a Real player in the summer, they're getting rid of Higiuan and Modric which will fund there purchase of the striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

So hes talking crap and you arent..classic.. and what is your source ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Madrid already have the money to get Falcao, but I don't think he wants to move across the city...
MB

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers wheelyCFC eds must have chaned my spelling,, I'm sure I wrote source lol mattm

Agree0 Disagree0

The Falcao to Madrid rumour is very possible. Last summer Madrid tried to flog Higiuan to make space for Cavani. So it's very likely they will do so again this summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no way that any spanish club apart from Barca and real could afford Torres wages, so there is where this becomes absolutely impossible

Agree0 Disagree0

If only, I swear Torres is a double agent. No one could be that bad, he's a bad apple and is too concerned with his own image. Get rid now he has no future at CFC.

The Taison deal has delayed because of new ownership of Kharkiv. The new owner does not feel the player needs to be sold however the manager has now come out and said he should be let go to Chelsea because he will be unhappy if he remains. This has nothing to do with Man City. - James13

My dads mate is an chelsea coach and apparently hes been told that taison move is off, off to city, fellani is the main target 27m with marin on a loan deal to everton. Its been accepted because its a clause in its contract so deal should be done within the week, Would welcome that move eds, heard any other close moves?

Some people crack me up!!! DJ

Agree1 Disagree1

It's ridiculous DJ. Gets you through the days though.

Melbourne CFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Well even a web site were saying they could trigger the release clause and I think it might happen so shut up

Agree0 Disagree0

A website isn't claiming that they know because their dads mate is a coach blah blah blah.

Melbourne CFC

Agree0 Disagree0

All I would say is L'equipe seem to think its a possiblity and have been correct about other signings we have made.
If the release clause is true and not excessive then maybe.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not that part that cracks me up.........it's the "My dads mate is an chelsea coach" that cracks me up!! The fellaini bit i belive. DJ

Agree0 Disagree0

A website?? oh well it must be true then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Any other news from your dad's mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

As you know some websites have more crediblity than others as do some correspondents.
I wasnt saying it was gospel just pointing out that they have been a credible source of info in the past.

Agree0 Disagree1

His release clause is to a team playing in the champions league not a team no led out in group stage sorry about that but use won't be getting him

Agree0 Disagree0

As soon as you come out with 'mates dad is a coach at the club' you lose all credibility. As rafa would say FACT
Marley

Agree0 Disagree0

Or dads mate, same thing!
Marley

Agree0 Disagree0

My dads mate met a guy in the pub who plays darts with the guy who walks the dogs of romans yaught cleaner and he said ed002 is gonna be the next manager. So defo gonna happen i think

Agree1 Disagree0

Release clause to a champions league team. You can't be more champions league than the reining champions. (until may that is)

Agree0 Disagree0

The real ease clause is 35 million so use avent triggered nowt

News in France today that Chelsea have met the €27m release clause of Felliani and have offered a 5yr contract worth €5m a year.Any truth in this?

Believable13 Unbelievable15

Seeing as it's an EPL club to fellow EPL club why would in no ne in GBP?

Why France? If it's L'Equipe though, it's certainly believable. Always accurate.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's in euros because L'Equipe converted it to euros.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is L'Equipe that has reported it.........are they usually spot on then? DJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Not always but certainly a very respected outfit who have been correct about major transfers before.
S.S.

Agree0 Disagree0

L'Equipe is credible. Nothing like our very own DailyFail, Mirror, etc. Fellaini is Belgian, French cover alot of french speaking player careers as well. It's my wish he came to Chelsea, therefor i'm biased. Hope it happens.

Just wondering on how a potential transfer proceeds. If we are interested in a player I assume contact is made with the club to see if they are willing to sell. If they are do the selling club then contact their player to see if he is interested in the move. Who at chelsea makes the first contact I asume Ron Gourlay? Do we have a negotiating team who deals with the selling club and player/agents or is this mainly Mr Gourlay. Thanks eds. Sid {Ed002's Note - Clubs will typically informally ask an agent (a) if the player is going to be available, and (b) would the player consider a move to the club. There may be some broad discussion on the sort of deal that would be offered. If the answer is yes, it is then necessary for the club to approach the player's club to ask if they would be willing to sell and if they would grant permission to speak to a player's agent and possibly even the player about actually making a move. This will typically involve either broadly (through an offer) or actually agreeing a fee and responsibility for any significant costs (agents fees etc.). Once this has happened the club will be able to speak to the player's agent and perhaps the player himself to look at the package that will be involved. Many players are looked at and discussed at a high-level with agents and clubs; a subset of those have an offer placed; a subset of those involve discussions with the player's club; a subset of those involve discussions over terms, and; a subset of those go ahead. There is no point in going in to names of those who could be involved.}
