ED002 is there any interest in Angel Di Maria? {Ed002's Note - Nothing that I know of right now. Two years ago yes.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Yes there is now Chelsea will sign Pastore, Marin, Lukaku, DeBruyne, Falcao and maybe Rodwell.

What say will Emanalo have in transfer ED? {Ed018's Note - im sure he will have input, but i do believe that AVB will have plenty of say as well.}

EDS have you seen the new statement Wagner Ribiero made that Neymar's dream is to play for Madrid and if Madrid allow him to stay til January he will move there ? Has there been any more Chelsea meetings with his reps? {Ed018's Note - no i havent seen his statement. either way we will probably have to wait until after the copa america before we know what his intentions might be

Believable2 Unbelievable1

08 Jul 2011 19:30:16
ed, seeing as avb knows jose bosingwa well, do you think he would consider keeping him at the club? also do you know of any others that are possibly leaving? {Ed018's Note - anelka, malouda, zhirkov, kalou are all possible to leave}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Don't see any reason why Chelsea are considering selling him anyway He still remains one of the best right backs in the world on his day for me, Ide keep him as cover and sign say a VDW.

Is Falcao Are Main Target If Not, Who Is? Thanks ED {Ed018's Note -there is interest in falcao, im not sure if theres one main target. a few months ago i would have said neymar, but its time to address multiple positions and they have players they'd like to sign for thoses spots}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Chelsea can have as many targets as they want, its not guna make them move any quicker than they already are doing It's official, we are one slow ass club when it comes to bringing in new faces, compare us to the 2 Manchester clubs and were seriously f***ing around, what are we playing at? {Ed018's Note - maybe but there havent been many high profile players being signed yet.}

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jul 2011 19:11:09
Eds do you think that schweinsteiger might be an option if indeed Essien is out for a few months.
Ive always liked the player and think he could fit in quite nicely... what do you think? {Ed018's Note - i like schweinsteiger, but im unaware of what any plans might be now with regards to essiens injury.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Great player, would love to see him at bridge, but its never going to happen.

Ed..new to the site so please forgive if you have covered this already.

In your opnion do you think the Modric saga is over now..do we need to move on.
Thanks {Ed018's Note - no i dont think its over yet}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

08 Jul 2011 17:24:50
I am getting tired of saying that neymar is staying at santos. he said so himself and you all can check for yourselves. thats it move on {Ed002's Note - Don't believe everything you read.}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I agree, so much fuss over a totally unproven player

Agree0 Disagree0

He can dribble and do a bit ok skill but that's it..... far too weak for the BPL and far too stroppy for a club as professional as ours, let Real Madrid dig into their funds for him and ensure they back off from our better targets i.e. Pastore

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jul 2011 17:12:02
i think chelsea should fix the creative midfielder problem with lyons yorun gorcuff he would cost around 25-30 million

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Ancelotti has let him go to Bordeaux for being too slow, for his liking in Seria A. If the guy is too slow for Italy, how in the would he manage the pace of PL. He definitely ain't worth that amount, didn't impress for Lyon last season and is a non-factor for France.

Agree0 Disagree0

Another player who hey could go in for is javi martinez i know hes not the most creative but he impressed at the u21 euro championship

Agree0 Disagree0

I think chelsea should make an approach for alonso as madrid have too many midfielders

Agree0 Disagree0

Bring in bastain schwestinger

Agree0 Disagree0

Sneijder or pastore would be the best fit

Agree0 Disagree0

But they are expensive

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be perfect option

Im guessing Mikel will defo now stay But i think we will now push a move for Modric as he is a box to box midfielder like Essien

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Mikel Hes like a crab, just gets the ball and plays it right or left, do not see how he benefits Chelsea atall Luiz should be given the holding mid job, better with his feet and can make accurate passes going forward to. {Ed018's Note - i for one wouldnt mind seeing luiz in that role but i just dont see it happening}

Agree0 Disagree0

So if this turns out to be the case ed018, how come we can see it but AVB n co cannot? Sell Mikel and bring in som attacking flair Maybe I should get my badges Ide do a better job than most of these managers for sure Ide love to see Tevez and Nasri playing either side of Torres with Modric Essien and Ramires in midfield. {Ed018's Note -i wouldnt doubt that it may become an option now to play him in that role with essien injured. im not a huge fan of mikel. so i'd rather not see him start there. he's fine as a squad player. but we will have to wait and see.}

Does essien's injury change Chelsea's transfer plans regarding midfield ed?thanks {Ed018's Note - it may depending on the severity of the injury}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Chelsea needs to improve their midfield. This is something that has been reiterated here and on a lot of forums numerous times. So this is just a assessment of the Chelsea midfield and assumption on what Andre Villas Boas is going to do to improve it. Chelsea only has six pure midfielders who can play centrally that is DM, John Obi Mikel, young playmker Josh Mceachran, box to box midfielders Ramires, Essien and Lampard and attacking mid Yossi Benayoun. Apparently reports are surfacing today stating that Essien is injured once again and may be out for up to six months. That being said Chelsea will definitely need to sign at least two new midfielders. Am much needed playmaker and a deep lying playmker/ defensive midfielder. For that playmaking role Wesley Sneijder and Luka Modric were both coveted. Apparently Chelsea were not willing to reach Sneijders massive weekly wages and price tag and the situation with Modric we all know. The only way the little Croatian could possibly get to leave Spurs is if he hands in the transfer request that he does not want to. Now Chelsea have now turned their attention to Argentine 'sensation' Javier Pastore and apparently tabled a 50m euro bid for the talented playmaker meeting Maurizio Zamparini's minimum requirements for the player. To be honest Pastore isnt worth that much but we all know we live in the era of the inflated transfer market. He's overrated and just pure talent that needs to be moulded and the best managers to do this would be Sir Alex or Wenger. Paying that money or even more would be a huge risk and many Chelsea fans along with myself would much prefer Arsenal's wantaway French man Samir Nasri. But cant see it happening although there is a chance. But it may seem that Pastore is the most likely player to come and fill that AM role in midfield void. Many you of think that both Pastore and Modric could both be bought because both players play contrasting roles. Modric is a deep lying playmaker and could control the midfield with his passing and distribution with Pastore playing higher up the pitch behind Nando. But from my assesment of Pastore, he has the tendency to drop deeper to get the ball and also does a similar role to Modric i.e controlling the play. So buying to of them would be unwise. Pastore just like Torres is a player you may have to build a team around. Chelsea should consider signing Arturo Vidal aswell. Fantastic midfielder with a brilliant passing ability and very versatile aswell. Considering Essien could be out for a long time now, Vidal would be an ideal signing. Chelsea should consider all options for attacking midfield though and make a serious push for Santos star Ganso. I hope Essien's injury isn't too serious and recovers quickly and probably not consider to retire which would bring tears streaming down the faces of the Chelsea faithful. Also I hope Villas Boas makes the right decisions and I am sure he will because this is a defining time in Chelsea FC history. So no need to bite your finger nails in anxiety waiting for the first signing worried CFC fans everything will be fine. Like always opinions are welcomed.

ED002 people are saying Micheal Essien will retire due to the injury he has had? {Ed002's Note - Are they. So let me see; he falls over (or whatever he did) this morning hurting his (leg shall we say). I assume that then they took him in to the medical centre at Cobham, and a few minutes later he came out and shouted he is retiring? Someone in listening range fortunately has a Twitter account, and now we are all lucky enough to know. I assume by now Chelsea have submitted their insurance claim. Good luck to him with whatever he decides to do next - did he say?}

Ed, has there been any developments on the naming rights for Stamford Bridge. I understood a while ago we were searching for the right deal but were unable to find anything suitable. Are there any deals near completing for any players going out of the club? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any further discussions on naming rights at this time. There has been some tooing and froing over players leaving but I don't know of anything too close.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Jul 2011 15:26:53
is essien does have a serious injury would be great news for josh mceachran
ed if it is big injury i guess chelsea will need another cm and maybe mikel doesnt leave now {Ed018's Note - well before we start speculating we need to know how serious the injury is. im not gonna start guessing until i here chelsea commenting on the injury}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If Essien is badly injured its bad news all round and Josh is a long way from being ready for the first team.
His performances have been disaapointing this calendar year if you have watched the youth and reserve teams on CTV.

Agree0 Disagree0

Supposedly Jody Morris twittered its a cruciate

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I do think Josh is ready for first team but I don't he was happy to seen one of his team mates get badly hurt

Hi ed, cfc should leave the complicated santos and udinese deals and focus on other clear deals like the one of vdw, lukaku, aguero. ed. what do you think? {Ed002's Note - I disagree. And Aguero is complicated as well.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

08 Jul 2011 14:45:55
I know this is unlikely but I would LOVE to see Madrid get Pastore and Ozil would become available and join Chelsea.
I think he is the ideal player to fill the creative role at Chelsea.

Hearing essien has hurt himself in training today any news ed? {Ed002's Note - I don't use Twitter or Facebook or any of these hip new communication means, but I understand it has been mentioned there.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Jody morris has tweeded it so maybe it is true as he is best mates with JT.

I hope its not as seirous as he is saying it could be the end for him if it is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately its true, get well soon Bison

Agree0 Disagree0

Cruciate injury apparently. feel for him if its bad, guy has no luck at all.

This transfer silence is sickening. At least we sold someone, as we have quite a few i and most of us i assume, would like to see gone this summer. Other than shipping our academy to Hamburg, and resigning Hilario. keeping ourselves busy, huh? Really nothing ED002? {Ed002's Note - Boateng is a centre back and he is up for sale. Bayern Munich is a likely destination.}

Hey Ed, isit true chelsea are out of the race to sign Neymar? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable1 Unbelievable9

08 Jul 2011 08:36:29
whats the latest ed? {Ed002's Note - There is nothing new yet today.}

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Chelsea FC are closing in on Turkey midfielder Arda Turan and hope to have a deal for the left sided player completed by next week.

Owner Roman Abramovich is keen to get some players on board quickly during pre-season and although the final decision will be left to Andre Villas-Boas, Turan remains one player that is believed to be wanted across the Chelsea staff.

The club initially bid £15m for the Galatasaray forward then quickly increased the bid to £18m which was duelly accepted, the terms of the agreement are now to be set between the player and club with a medical highly likely to take place next week when Turan travels to London.

Modric/Pastore
Falcao/Benzema
VDW/Other Right Back
1 of each will sign, AVB has said the core of the team will be the same next as it was this year

Hey Ed, have Udinese accepted Chelsea new bid for Alexis Sanchez or is the offer still on the table? {Ed002's Note - It is on the table. Udinese are not easy to deal with. There are offers on the table from Barcelona - the players choice but way too low; Chelsea - higher but I doubt the player is keen; Napoli - will include part ownership and player exchanges; Anzhi Makhachkala - a non starter. As I have said, this may drag on all summer.}

I was told Torres will go back to f---king Liverpool for £22mil plus were getting 2 liverpool players Torres was seen back in Liverpool talking whit Kenny dalgish plus agent his family want to go back to Liverpool sorry it's true were getting someone of porto

Believable7 Unbelievable24

Really? Oh, ok. Also messi, ronaldo, and iniesta are all moving to chelsea, cos they have been seen in London..... (sarcasm)

Wow. How dumb are you? {Ed002's Note - It was just a nuisance post. Ignore it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

This is a pile of crap, mate. Firstly, he doesn't intend to go back, secondly he wouldn't be allowed to leave for this little, and lastly - i can't name one pool player we would be interested in, let alone two. {Ed002's Note - {Ed002's Note - It was just a nuisance post. Ignore it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't tell me your going to believe this i mean can you think of 2 players from the liverpool team that would be good for our squad....as for the porto player i think you may be refering to falcao.if torres was going to leave i don't think it would be back to liverpool, I would have thought as it was revealed while he was at liverpool he was homesick.if anyone is leaving it will be anelka, kalou and malouda im sure these would make room for the "someone of porto".

Agree0 Disagree0

What is the point of making up stories like that? You want to scare people? That one is not even close to being possible...

Agree0 Disagree0

That is bull my friend why the hell would he move for 50m then go back for 22m after half a season ... He dosent wanna be with lfc he handed in a transfer request yanoo :))))) Plusss even if he was speaking to kenny which he wasnt but if he was it wudnt have been about that

Agree0 Disagree0

Stupid scouser

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats got to be the most pathetic rumour yet i have heard i guess you got up early for school today then

Agree0 Disagree0

And then 2 pigs flew over Stamford bridge and Chelsea signed Lionel messi on a free and cristiano ronaldo made a sensational move to Accrington Stanley. Wake up mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of s**t chelsea paid 50M for him back in Janurary he aint leaving not at 22M Lol true my hole

Agree0 Disagree0

Its obviously false he signed for us only 6 months ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres last seen in Liverpool when scouser was banging on side of his Audi Q7

Agree0 Disagree0

I would maybe consider 22m and Suarez and possibly Carroll/Gerrard/meireless.
