Chelsea are working on a deal to sign Nabil Fekir. Lyon have raised the price to try and keep Fekir but Chelsea are trying to meet the demands- Alfredo Pedulla (from Simon Phillips)

Would be surprised if it happened. Can't see us getting Martial or Fekir this window now. Nobody reliable has really confirmed concrete interest in Fekir, just been rumours and you know Liverpool will likely come back in for him if we tried getting a deal done. Although if these rumours going around about Batshuayi going on loan are true, we desperately need one of the two, we simply won't have enough goals in the team if he leaves.

Don't think they want Bats as they like Mariano Diaz playing upfront for them. Apparently they're interested in Zouma though as i'm sure they've been looking for a CB. Wouldn't mind using him in a deal if it helps getting Fekir, would prefer it to be a loan but it doesn't seem as if he's in Sarri's plans unfortunately. Just want this deal to happen soo badly, i remember last season when beIN sports reported we had a bid accepted for Mahrez on deadline day and everyone went nuts. I expect a lot of guessing and false reports tomorow, same could easily happen with Fekir.

Kovacic to have Chelsea medical today.
Midfield 3 of Kante, Jorginho and Kovacic. that's got a bit of everything. Can't think of many better midfields than that.
Now if we can just get our strikers to hit the net.

annoyingly i don't know any strikers out there AVAILABLE that has what we need? . always thought Belotti would have suited us but I still think Batsuayhi could be perfect for this type of football we are aiming for.

I do wonder if Fekir will come and play up front. He can play there and could flourish like Mertens. That’s just a thought though.
I’m excited, I think it’s going to take Sarri a month or 2 for his ideas to work but the team looks to be slowly coming together. Kepa, Azpi, Rudi, Andreas, Emerson, Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic, Hazard, Willian, Michy.

Depends on who you believe about the buy option.
I think it would be pretty dumb not to have a buy option but we have on occasions done some stupid deals.

Yeah that’s the big question loko, Savic got a lot of goals from midfield or lazio, fekir more winger type gets goals, but I’m not a scout so can’t think of many that’d be available, but looking at city they had goals from KDB silva sane sterling. same for Liverpool with mane salah coutinho When he was there and Mahrez at Leicester gets goals, just other outlets than just striker,

It’s okay having three quality midfielders who can’t score only if you have three quality attackers who can score. Only Hazard contributes. Michy could be going on loan, Morata is in a goal drought and Willian or Pedro never consistently score over ten goals a season.

I think kante will score more and kovacic as both will go past our attackers something that didn't happen under conte
I think morata will score more in this system if favours his play more late runs into box rather than trying to hold it up for other players not his strength imo
Just my thoughts on it be funny if we beat Huddersfield 6 0 all different scores haha if only.

You are correct KingFrank. We now have a midfield that could be extremely efficient but they are not goal scoring midfielders so once again the onus will be on Hazard. If we are trying to get Fekir it will be as a forward and his goal scoring record is good but it will mean whoever plays out of him, Morata, willian and Giroud must look to get at least 10 or more goals apiece or we will struggle again.

Just my read on the current spending at Chelsea, does the fact that we have canned the plan to build the stadium mean that we have more funds at our disposal . for us to use for contract negotiations or use to get the right players in?
