MY OPINION ON THE INS THIS SUMMER

LOAN RETURNS TO FIRST TEAM

Thibaut Courtois :- Will be the first choice next year, harsh on Cech but its time to move on.

Kurt Zouma :- It seems Luiz will leave for Barcelona, Zouma appears ready for a limited role in the first team now. Can learn behind the newly contracted Terry and will form a great future partnership with Cahill and/or maybe John Stones (after another year at Everton).

Patrick Van Aanholt :- Had another great season in Holland, both Cole and Bertrand are off and he can fight it out with whoever our new signing at LB will be.

SUMMER SIGNINGS

Diego Costa :- Big, aggressive striker with ability when he has the ball at his feet. Seems nailed on, doesn't it?

Ezequiel Lavezzi :- Talk of signing another striker like Mario Mandžukić to pair with Diego Costa in a 4-4-2 doesn't make much sense to me, they're too similar. Lavezzi would be the perfect player to put up alongside Costa; if we needed two up front.

Ross Barkley :- Swap deal with Romelu Lukaku? This seems far too good to be true! He would be the first name on my list of wanted players right now!

Alberto Moreno :- Very good left back but will still have a good fight, for the first 11, with Van Aanholt on his hands.

I agree with all three of your returnees unless we can get a lower premier league team that will make zouma a huge part of their squad. Also I'd bring lukaku back.

As far as the incoming players I just haven't understood the lavezzi desire as I view him as a winger when people are calling him a striker. Barkley would be nice but we have much bigger needs and players in his position we'd need to move. Like moreno but would love shaw but I realize that's becoming nearly impossible. Still think our second hole behind a striker is a midfielder that can upgrade rami.

I think Ramires will leave in the summer, along with both Mikel and Luiz.

Is Nathan Baker or Loftus-Cheek that far away from the first team squad? Lampard staying for another season on a reduced contract, in a limited role, to see these through seems ideal.

I think Barkley can fill the high energy midfielder hole left by Ramires; and automatically bring more class to the position.
