When is Wallace joining us anyone? And is he 100% joining? Thankyou!
SAIM {Ed018's Note - he is 100% joining and i believe it's in the summer, but if i'm wrong and it is January do not expect to see him in the first team}

If ed002 or ed018 can answer this I'd appreciate it

I have looked at search function aswell

1. Ed002 in the past you have said chelsea are not interested in alen halilovic, is this still the case

2. You also said that real Madrid had an offer turned down, I know you don't have interest in money but was it around 8 million?

Thanks in advance and don't worry if you can't answer

Plus, regulars, what do you think of this player, I watched him against psg and at 16-17 I couldn't believe the class he had !

Billy {Ed018's Note - As of right now there is no interest and i'm not sure what the offer was}

The players that I'd like to see us bring in by the end of the summer. Note that Chelsea may not have expressed an interest in all these players, and my list assumes that Lamps and Ash have left as well as some others sold.

Baines/ Shaw
Fernando Reges/Wanyama/Modric
Isco
Alen Halilovic
Falcao(1st choice)/Cavani

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Wanyama is a person you dnt give the ira money

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon Cavani should be 1st choice striker, he is taller, stronger and has better work ethic than Falcao. As of 7/1/13 Cavani P23 S25 in all competitions and Falcao P16 S20 La Liga. Nothing much to seperate them and in terms of value there isnt much either but id prefer someone who works hard for the team at both ends of the pitch. Scott M.

Hi Ed,

We all think we are experts and our own opinions are the only ones that are right, we ALL think we have 'ED' in front of our posts, thats footy fans for you tho !
We write rubbish all the time out of frustration and ask dumb questions cause we look for any bit of info know matter how small and useless.
A lot of people need to respect the fact that we are all entitled to an opinion no matter how r******* and laughable it may be, people don't need to give them a hard time, they need to smile and pity them, not swear at them.
I can guarantee you that we as fans will piss you off every day, every week and every year and give you a reason to pull your hair out and smash things on a daily basis.

For all our faults, please pity us all on here and stick with us. We don't understand the time you give up for us when you have a job to do as well. We don't thank you EDs enough, so thank you from me and a huge thank you from my wife cause if i wasn't on here reading posts daily i would be pestering her for my marital rights......and i aint pretty ! From Paul (East Anglia)

PS Are we interested in Falcao ?? {Ed002's Note - Yes - it is not a secret.}

Forget about isco sign super frank up another year then bring mceachran through

Believable5 Unbelievable13

Unfortunately McEachran is already starting to fall through the cracks at Chelsea! He struggle to ever be a first team regular - and I'm a massive fan of his!

Surewould

Agree1 Disagree0

I think you are right Surewould. It seeems to me that he has just about reached his level. A real pity but appens to many many players.Irony is if he had been at Arsenal he would probably have got a 5 year deal

Agree1 Disagree0

Josh is struggling to hold his position down at Middlesborough. He needs to improve his all around game and also start scoring the odd goal from midfield beofe being considered for Chelsea's first team squad. He needs to raise his game to the level of Hazard and Oscar as they are also only youngsters before breaking through properly.

Hello Ed's
I was wondering if you could tell me what the situation is with the Home grown players rule and how it effects us going forward into next season?
That is with Sturridge already gone and Lampard and Cole looking likely to follow, are their any plans to recruit british players or are we looking to promote from the youths?
Thanks
DP {Ed002's Note - You don't need to promote from teh youth - it only applies to over 21s. There will be no issues come the summer.}

What About Loaning Islam Feruz Out For Some First Team Football Then Have Him In The Full Squad For Next Year

Why on earth would we want Isco?! Yes he's a good player but I don't understand why everyone is leaving Oscar out of the team. Who cares if Oscar is young, he's world class and at the moment is playing twice as good as Hazard. Especially against QPR, that game Oscar was quality. We don't need any more attacking midfielders, or do we all want a £25million player spending the majority of each game on the bench?!

LF07

Believable6 Unbelievable5

I don't think people want to see Oscar dropped but i belive the plan is to overhaul the last of the aging players sooner rather then later so we can comply with the FFP rules a lot easier it will put the club in a healthy position for the future this being said i think the club see Oscar playing the deeper role in Midfield and Although moses is good i think he was bought more to play the sort of role kalou played for chelsea there for there is still room for one more attacking midfielder and isco fits the bill perfectly

Agree1 Disagree0

Why not get him? In all honesty, Oscar and de bruyne are seen as centre mids. So really we only have, hazard, mata, Marin and Moses. I don't see hazard being around for long, and Marin as much as I love his football I think he will get fed up.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why won't hazard be about for long.. His only just signed ???

Agree0 Disagree1

I would bet anything on hazard wanting to join real madrid in atleast season 14-15 at the latest

Agree0 Disagree0

Very much agreed about Hazard to Madrid. Have exactly the same feeling. Hope we sell him for at least 60 though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope we don't sign another attacking mid. We'd just use up valuable space for one of the young kids to break into eg Paizon. We should only buy where we know there isn't anyone coming through soon - hence Fellani and Cavani / Falcao would be the main targets come the summer in my view, with a possible move for a Cole replacement as well

Ed what other club are interested in taison? If I had to guess I would say spurs or qpr, but do you know? {Ed002's Note - Aston Villa's interest may have disappeared when it appear issues associated with obtaining a work permit may be difficult to resolve. Bayer Leverkusen have looked at Taison as a replacement for Schurrle.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed002 Does that mean that we would also struggle to get a permit ?
If so is the interest claimed by the media wide of the mark?
Thanks
S.S. {Ed002's Note - All I can say is that there is no commitment to buy him right now - but that may change. I really don't know what the WP situation is but he will need one and it won't be based on National appearances. Getting one by exception becomes more difficult the older the player becomes.}

ED002 can you tell us if we have bid or are interested in Benat or Real Betis? {Ed002's Note - Atletico Madrid, CSKA, Chelsea, Fenerbahce, Arsenal and Wolfsburg have also shown interest in Benat. Txiki Begiristain has, as reported, an interest in taking him to Manchester City. It is beginning to look like the summer would be more likely.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Thanks ED can i ask on Taison reports suggest he has been granted a work permit to play in England and Chelsea are likely to sign him is that correct ED? {Ed002's Note - There is no agreement to buy Taison at this time. He was watched over the summer, there have been discussions and he remains an option.}

Eds: Could you please enlighten us to the Isco rumours. Are they genuine? Do we hold interest? Are we planning on bidding for him, or have we done that already?

Carefree {Ed002's Note - Barcelona, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Juventus and Spurs have shown an interest in Isco and he came close to a move to Dortmund, who may still follow up the matter. Chelsea had someone watch Isco in a recent game against Granada and again very recently. I suspect AC Milan might look to the player as well if he does not move before the summer. There were rumours of interest from Manchester United and Arsenal. If they are forced to sell - and they don't want to, I would suspect Chelsea, Juventus and Real Madrid are best placed right now to push a deal through although Manchester City could well make a bid. A move in January is by no means certain as Malaga are looking to have Isco sign a new long-term contract. Malaga wanted 21M euros and are now negotiating an increase in his release clause to 42M euros using a pay rise to tempt the player to agree - but they do fear a move for the player this month.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

They can't afford to keep him and trying to geta release clause up will only put clubs off for a player his age.

Thanks ed pretty informative stuff :)

good evening EDS..firstly great work that you guys do for this page, secondly, i know its early days, but does anyone know where chelseafc will be for the 2013/14 pre-season yet?..im kind of hoping that it will be in some asian country so i could go and see them ..thankfully appreciative..FLUID OZ BARFLY.(MELBOURNE) {Ed002's Note - Nothing is firm yet but it is possible that two separate tours will be undertaken again this summer - perhaps with different squads or squad members. There will be less of a need to rest players due to summer competition and few older players. There was some effort being made to organise a visit to Asia taking in Thailand, Myanmar and possibly India. I think it will be a couple of months or more before anything takes shape.}

No deal for lamps according to his agent bad choice roman

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Shame to see Lampard go. But if fans recall 5 years ago, he held the club to ransom over his 5 year deal by threatening to leave. Still a good player and will be sorry to see him go but Chelsea need to look to the future.

So I guess the signing of Taison kills any hope of signing Isco...and what's the saddest thing? With his current contract, Isco would cost just a little little bit more than Taison...

Believable6 Unbelievable0

To be honest I think Taison is being chased because he can be effective playing up forward due to his scoring abilities. His a QUALITY player.

Isco signing to me wouldn't have made sense due to the number of attacking young players in the team. Mata, hazard, Oscar, Marin etc. To be honest I don't know whether we need Taison to that matter

Shak

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate, I suggest you should take another look at how many goals he has scored in the UKRANIAN league. And, no, he is not a striker. He has played pretty much all of his games on LW, so if the plan by you is to put Taison up front, then we might aswell put Hazard there. Signing Taison is a 1000 times more pointless than the potential Isco signing.

Ed, i tried searching but i can't find latest information on some two players. I am a fan of Sanchez and Jovetic.
Rumors are that Alexis Sanchez is not settled in Barcelona. He needs more playing time.
Previously, chelsea had interest in jovetic.

Ed, does chelsea still has interest in Sanchez and Jovetic and is there
likelihood of any of them coming this January?

Thanks for the good work

Hussein {Ed002's Note - Attempts to buy Sanchez in the summer were met by a 40M euro asking price although I suspect 30M will be nearer to what will be paid next summer for him. Juventus have very clear targets and a significant budget to buy a player to play off their main striker. They have identified three possible players - Sanchez is one, and perhaps the most likely one.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Roma, Napoli and Spurs did show interest in Jovetic over the past 18 months, but Manchester City, Palermo and Juventus remain interested if the price is acceptable for a transfer. At this time it seems most likely he will stay in Florence for the entire season after bids from Juventus and Manchester City were rejected during the past summer. I think it would take a very significant bid to change that in January. He was very clearly the primary target for Manchester City next summer and until recent comments from the player and his agent that he does not want to leave Italy, I could certainly see that happening. The clear alternative is Juventus who have very clear targets and a significant budget to buy a player to play off their main striker. They have identified three possible players - and Jovetic is one.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

And the third one for Juventus is Isco, correct? {Ed002's Note - No, that is a separate matter.}

How many strikers do man city want? they seem to be chasing everyone...

Would hate if we went for Gomis. He offers nothing more than Lukaku, even at his juvenile present. Plus is slower than Mikel. Never a Chelsea quality.

Abramovich is getting a bit to greedy and not really considering his purchases if the Isco deal is genuine. Chelsea already have a number of attacking midfielders that thrive up the field not to mention the ones out on loan and coming through the academy. Without any shadow of a doubt Isco is a quality player but Chelsea are coming into a position where they will be set for the next few seasons and essentially not need to sign anyone. I thought the point of buying young players, developing relations with clubs to secure them good loan destinations was to look at some point, bringing them through. Do we really want Chelsea to be a team that buys players, trains them only to sell them on at a later date without them playing a single game for the team?
