Ed reports saying we're interested in Andre Gomes and cancelo
Any truth and who is interested thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Valencia's Andre Gomes was watched last season by representatives of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Milan, Manchester United and by Vicente Fernandez on behalf of Chelsea. However, the asking price was well beyond anything that would make any transfer possible in the summer. This season many clubs, including Chelsea again, have watched the player but it will likely be Barcelona, PSG and Manchester City that fight for his signature in the summer - and I very much doubt Barcelona will be able to match any financial offer made by Manchester City or PSG without a sudden influx of money. Obviously if Valencia hold out for the sort of figure he has in his release clause then he won't be going anywhere.

Chelsea spoke with Benfica about Cancelo in January 2014 but nothing came of it. I am aware that Valencia, Manchester City, Barcelona, Manchester United, Real Madrid, West Ham and Liverpool all took a look at him last season and it was Valencia who successfully made a move for him. Valencia are aware that Chelsea are again looking at the player.}

Crap, Gomes is one of my favourite players. It'd suck to see him at City so hope he ends up elsewhere. Awesome player.

Thanks for providing the info, Ed :-)

Good evening Ed sorry to bother you as I know you get bombarded with a million of same questions!
With pep was wondering if his decision will be based on Chelsea making champions league and will he even think of wining with us?!
Would Roman look to redo our team tbis summer with Hazard being a player to be sold to recoup money for others!

Question don't you feel like if we sell Remy and Ivanovic we can bring in another defensive specailist during january with money we get from these signings

Again sorry to bothr you I read a lot and I know most of the stuff you read is hearsay as I just read Pep decliend chelsea and we ar looking to offload Hazard to funderstand or trade for others! Have a great week!

{Ed002's Note - (1) No, his decision will not be based on such things. He has already rejected three offers and will consider what other options exist before, in my opinion, agreeing to join Manchester City. (2) Ivanovic will not be sold in January. Whilst there are two offers on the table and other interest in Remy, he won't be going anywhere unless Chelsea recruit a replacement - and that remains unlikely.}

Evening Ed, is chelsea interested in Ademola Lukman of Charlton? Being across rumours of the club's interest in him for a while now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Southampton, Crystal Palace, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham are all interested in taking Ademola Lookman away from Charlton. Much is expected of him and I would expect (and hope) he takes advice to stay where he is for now.}

Coming to you guys to see if there is any truth to the talk of Columbus Crew in discussions over Falcao. I think this stems from an article that arose a month or so ago where one of our players (Federico Higuain- brother of Gonzalo) had mentioned that Falcao would benefit by coming to America right now.

Seems like it is more a case of the papers taking that quote and creating something from nothing. He hasn't done much for you but he would probably do well for us.

I'd be happy to see him join your club. He hasn't been able to contribute, partly because of an injury that's been lasting a while now. I hope he's able to help some team, as it's clear he's trying when he plays.

{Ed002's Note - He is a Monaco player not a Chelsea player.}

06 Jan 2016 16:13:03
Oh I know, Ed :) Still I'd be happy to see him succeed somewhere. Whether that's at Monaco or at another club doesn't matter much to me. I just don't think it'll be at Chelsea.

I thought maybe you guys would have some insight since he is currently at Chelsea. Do Chelsea have the ability to end their loan or halt a move to MLS?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He is contracted to Chelsea until the end of the season and Monaco has no way to terminate that contract without the agreement of Chelsea. However, Chelsea do have a break point in the contract and would be pleased to let him return to Monaco (he should be fit in a week or two), but that would be at a cost and they would need to ensure that they have sufficient cover. Then Monaco would be able to decide whether they keep him to cover for losing El Shaarawy or to negotiate a loan or a transfer to any of the interested clubs.}

I haven't heard anything of the sort actually. It would surprise me though if we went that high for a CB. But what do I know? ;-)

It's possible but I think the toffees would be mad to sell. ps personally, I'd rather have Barkley.

think it will probably go above 50 million too guys with the other clubs involved, Martinez has said he won't go in Jan so think it will be summer time, may just be a ploy to up the bids though.

The guy is hugely over rated, puts his team in trouble far to often. Huge swerve needed.
