ED what is all the Lampard to United talk about have they shown an interest in him? {Ed002's Note - Sounds like a Twitter thing I guess. You have signed up for the Ed002 Appreciation Society I hope: www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=318376138408&ref=ts#!/pages/Ed002-Appreciation-Society/295138177203666}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

It was the daily mail trying to bate gulible people to believe these rumours.

Agree3 Disagree2

More dribble from the DAILY FAIL!

Agree6 Disagree0

Talksport made up the Lampard to United "rumour" in a debate following the Man City game, the Daily Mail are most probably recycling that rubbish.

Agree1 Disagree1

Fergie just said we would never sell lamps in jan so that means he is fishing then

Believable10 Unbelievable11

Agree9 Disagree3

Madrid want Cavani which is why they are prepared to sell Higuain to us providing we dont compete for Cavani.
He will only go one place given the choice and thats Real.
Also Citeh are interested and would offer more than us.

ed, is there any interest in Ingo Martinez, he is a young centre half with lots of potential, rumours suggest he goes for £8m. thanks. {Ed002's Note - If Real Sociedad decide to sell the kid he will be expensive. There is no interest.}

Hey Ed, i have some questions;
1) Is cfc considering an alternative for Eden Hazard if the attitude problem obervation still stands?
2) What is the latest development on Ganso? Does he still remain a target this january?
3) Last season, cfc had some interest in subotic. Does he have same attributes as cahil? Pls elaborate incase of any?
4) where can i get info about players transfer process in regards to bidding rules, bonus, etc

{Ed002's Note - (1) It really does not work like that at all. Krasic is an option as a wide player perhaps if a loan deal can be agreed. (2) There are no developments on Ganso at this time - I have explained that he will be allowed to leave because Santos cannot get sufficient sponsorship to cover the costs of both him and Neymar. Ganso's preference is for AC Milan, or Barcelona if MIlan cannot facilitate a move. Ganso has his heart set on AC Milan, but Milan have a non-EU quota issue if they are to sign him. The quota's can be increased by borrowing from other teams in exchange for players on loan - which seems to me like it should not be allowed, but it is. To make a loan happen in January, AC Milan would need to give up one non-EU player (probably Mario Yepes) to bring Ganso (or their second choice, Fernando) in or obtain an an additional allocation. I suspect that Barcelona would not be interested before the summer. A 40M euro bid from Anzhi Makhachkala was rejected and Ganso made it clear, regardless of the efforts of Roberto Carlos, that his desire is Italy and preference is AC Milan. He was not keen on a move to England so there remains very little chance that something can be done with Chelsea who had previously agreed to . There is also reported interest from Real Madrid, Spurs, Manchester City and Manchester United. As an aside, Luis Alvero Ribeiro made a series of rather bizarre claims about his dream for Ganso (a) becoming part owned by another club who he will join after the Club World Cup (in December); (b) returning to Santos in June 2012 to play in the Olympics as a player of Santos; (c) returning to the other club in January 2013; (d) being sold for $200M in the summer of 2013. The other club is Porto - none of it will come to pass of course. (3) I cannot elaborate on the attributes of Subotic and Cahill aside from at a brief glance they have the same number of legs and each has a head. (4) I don't know what you are looking for but there is no written process or bidding rules or anything like that. Briefly, clubs will typically informally ask an agent (a) if the player is going to be available, and (b) would the player consider a move to the club. If the answer is yes, it is then necessary for the club to approach the player's club to ask if they would be willing to sell and if they would grant permission to speak to a player's agent and possibly even the player. This will typically involve either broadly (through an offer) or actually agreeing a fee and responsibility for any significant costs (agents fees etc.). Once this has happened the club will be able to speak to the player's agent and perhaps the player himself to look at the package that will be involved. So many players are looked at and discussed at a high-level with agents and clubs; a subset of those have an offer placed; a subset of those involve discussions with the player's club; a subset of those involve discussions over terms, and; a subset of those go ahead.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Blimey Ed. You either give nothing or all don't you?

Lots info given there.. but still can't understand what we are doing on transfers that is if we are doing anything at all !!

do you think its true that Drogba is leaving in January? Whats the general view? Do you think we should offer him a 2 year contract, let him go at the end of the season or let him leave in January?

bullet7 {Ed002's Note - His preference is very much to stay at Chelsea. I do not think a two year deal should be offered. If he will not accept the deal that is available he will very likely leave at the end of the season rather than January.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

05 Jan 2012 15:14:24
If we get Cahill will this mean we will not longer be interested in Subotic? {Ed002's Note - Not necessarily.}

05 Jan 2012 15:10:08
Unsure on all the Cahill rumours.But if there true and he's asking for 100k p/w then I think we should leave him at Bolton.I don't think he's champions league standard,not worth more than 7m anyway,even if he had a four year contract still with Bolton.Plus not worth more than 50-60k per week.Would much rather Alex stay,he should be in the team before luiz. {Ed002's Note - Alex is leaving.}

There are so many rumours flying around in the press that I don't know what to believe, or in fact whether to believe anything!

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new.}

Chelsea needs...

CB - (The press love a dramatic transfer story, there is no problem with the Cahill transfer; he will sign before the next Premier League match.)

RB - (Ivanovic is solid but sometimes we need a more attacking option! Alan Hansen said Bosingwa was making David Luiz look good, I think he is making him look bad! Bosingwa being constantly out of position is pulling Luiz too far over and making the gap between him and Terry too big. A new right back is needed pronto, Azpilicueta seems to be the man AVB wants; hopefully we don't have to wait till the summer!)

ACM - (We need more creativity and speed of thought in the final third, Mata is quality but can't do it all on his own; Sturridge has imense quality but I wouldn't call him creative. Moutinho would be my personal choice, a very good player who has an eye for a quick pass to the goal scorers. I think he could have the sort of impact for us that Deco had for Barcelona when he first went there.)

RW/LW - (As previously stated Mata & Sturridge are a couple of player who can hold their heads high this season, but cover in this position is very thin; everyone can see this. If we can sort out a reasonable fee with Genk then De Bruyne will come in but he is more of a squad player. A friend of mine who works winthin Arsenal's media network assures me that there is a very real chance Walcott will end up at Chelsea; personally im not sure!. Krasic would be a poor signing; i'd rather re-sign Scott Sinclair ***Joke***!!)

ST - (I have complete faith that Torres will come good, but come Feb we will still be short at this position. Anelka gone, Drogba pretty much gone, Lukaku not ready! I really want Llorente at the club but don't see him leaving Bilbao, Higuain seems to be one of those rumours that goes on, and on, and on before he sings a new deal at Madrid. I can't see Napoli giving Cavani up without a fight! Hulk would be my first choice, if we can sort out a reasonable price; he is big, strong, fast and skillfull. Plus he can play on either flank offering further depth to the squad.)

Believable16 Unbelievable0

I don't know how you can Say that Hulk is ST, as he is winger

Agree7 Disagree4

No he isnt hes a right forward, winger and right forward are different

Agree4 Disagree3

Agree with what we need but moutinho looks nothing special, we need something more than him to really get flowing.

Agree4 Disagree1

I think Bale would be a perfect signing but it is just a dream :)

LRD

Agree6 Disagree4

Fernando Llorente 20 mill just saying he could be the dominant centre forward we need and replace drogba. Looks like a good shout as hulk is far too expensive!

Agree3 Disagree0

Hulk would an amazing signing, he is strong, powerful and fast!!

Ed do we hold an interest in Lazar Marković of Partizan? {Ed002's Note - I know he is a kid who several clubs have shown an interest in and Chelsea may well of had him watched, but I do not know much of what the situation is with kids in Europe and interest from Chelsea.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

We need a Right back asap {Ed002's Note - And that is being dealt with.}

Agree3 Disagree0

Is Azpilicueta the only right back we're looking at ED? {Ed002's Note - He is the preferred right back.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed are we talking to marseille now to try and get him this window {Ed002's Note - There have been talks with Marseille to see what can be done about a transfer but don't get too carried away about the timescales.}

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jan 2012 09:26:51
Ed are you aware of any other clubs interest in Cesar Azpilicueta? {Ed002's Note - Manchester United and BArcelona have also shown an interest.}

Barcelona show interest in everyone.

AVB has made it clear what kind of player he wants at chelsea. A centre back possibly, but a creative midfielder is the priority. Modric is not a target right now, and Moutinho is going to be pricey if AVB can convince the Russki. Portuguese love their creative midfielders. Look at Aimar and Moutinho. January seems like a bad time with cup ties and squad injury issues but with the Euro coming prices will soar. Hopefully we can get a European now, an african in july, or a south american whenever
No rumor, but a wish, Moutinho please, he is AVB's brain on the pitch

ED002 i have heard some news that Inter Milan want Lavezzi Lucas Moura and Tevez but in order to do so They will have to sell Sneijder send Zarate back and sell Chivu,Regarding Sneijder Chelsea were contacted to make a bid for the player?

On Lucas Moura Inter Milan / Chelsea FC
Inter bid for Lucas Moura was initially 2M on loan + buyout of 17M euros and revised last month to 20M euros straight( confirmed by Moura’s agent ) . In order to finance this deal , Inter Milan are willing to not exercise their buyout option for Argentinean Mauro Zarate (came from Lazio ) who has apparently not convinced the hierarchy and loan the 19-year dutch striker Luc Castaignos ( Bought last summer from Feyernoord ). They could save at least 17M and put it on Lucas Moura

Chelsea replies to its initial offer and puts 32M News again goes out and say Chelsea might increase its bid Lancenet , which is a reliable Brazilian newspaper , wrote an article on it.

This was the info i was given just wondered if you have heard about this ED?

BLUEBLOOD {Ed002's Note - It is all based upon what Lucas' agent says. He sahre an agent with Neymar. I have explained what I know about Moura already.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Please god can we get Lucas. He is an absolute beast.
Scotty {Ed002's Note - I really don't think it would be right just now. He will never get the same amount of space in the EPL and I think he could easily end up lost down in the reserves. Give him a year or two.}

Believable3 Unbelievable12

Agree7 Disagree2

Where has the Cabaye link come from...

Agree7 Disagree0

This muppet obviously watched the Newcastle bs man utd game and made it up off the top if his head.
Surprised he didn't put BA in there aswell.

Agree4 Disagree0

He had a good game against utd, everytime a player has good game someone will link us with him or ask if were interested in them

Agree5 Disagree0

He obviously watched that game last night and brought him on football manager

Agree3 Disagree0

I'm surprised he didn't put Howard in there as well, as a striker.

Scored more than Torres in 2012

Rumours;

Chelsea are trying to seal a move for Cesar Azpilicueta in January with a fee between £12m and £16m
Daily Mirror.

Chelsea are also looking to acquire Edinson Cavani for £35m this January but a deal is more likely for the summer.
Daily Mail

The papers have also made light of the news that we are negotiating deals around Gonzalo Higuain and Lucas Moura.

At least we are being linked with world class players and i have my fingers crossed we can get some of these deals done.

ED- I havent heard any news on Eden hazard for a while, any update? Could Chelsea make an approach in January?

PB {Ed002's Note - Nothing changes with Hazard - one person remains unsure.}

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Rather have van der weil for 9.9 mil tho

Agree3 Disagree3

Hi there ed, who is this one person with the massive problem with hazard or cant you not say as you have stated this about 40 time {Ed002's Note - We are not going to discuss individuals.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah but Van der wiel is off to valencia

Agree2 Disagree0

I know but, vvalencia are gonna get him for 12 mil euros or 9.9mil pounds so i would rather stump up abit more cash and out bid them and get van der weil thats all i was sayin, he would be worth a good 15 mil pounds hes like an ashley cole of the right hand side! {Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with outbidding Valencia. It is where he wants to move to.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Have you seen V D WIEL play since after the world cup? id rather play ferreira. but on the right back note i think luiz would florish

Agree4 Disagree0

Regarding Hazard,i take it by your comments that 1 person thinks he has an attitude problem,i presume then that we are not supporting AVB in the transfer market, and are not trying to recruit the players that have been identified by him.If he feels that he can deal with Hazard then he must be backed by the club,or are the board buying players and AVB told to manage/coach them.
Thanks ed for your work on here. {Ed002's Note - What a strange assumption to make.}
