Am I the only one who thinks we will not sign a big name striker in the summer and stick with demba ba and lukaku to spearhead our attack and sign a striker to support from the bench

Athletico madrid are not interested in dzeko, they are definately interested in hernandez, and I believe if lewandowski leaves dortmund, dzeko will be his replacement

Ed002, I understand and appreciate your position of not discussing matters regarding the manager position however, as much as we all love Jos� Mourinho, it simply seems that he is teasing us, like the last few years. In reality, it seems, that there is not a hope in hell that he'll come back. The factors that contribute to this are, it seems, the current set up of the footballing side of the club and the unwillingness from either side to give in to other's demands or requirements. There is a question also of why would he want to come back to us, he did say to not go back, allegedly. I thought I may as well ask you if we should admit defeat in this matter, like so many other matters this season, and stop chasing rainbows to save ourselves the pain if, or rather, when he ends up at PSG, City or even worse Man United. I think if ED002 suggests that there is every chance of Mouriniho returning then discussions will already have taken place and both parties are open in principle to the partnership being resumed.
It is blindingly obvious that ED002 has privy to or indeed is party to discussions at boardroom level and perhaps for a large bottle of the finest pastiche may reveal his/her identity.

I agree mouriniho likes to tease Chelsea fans he will go to Paris for 2 seasons then come back to England and manage United.
As for the other names been thrown about I can't see these happening. Why not give David Moyes a chance as I understand it he is out of contract at the end of the season

I read today that as you don't have to name under 21 year olds in the squad that in theory it is possible that we could still bring in a player under that age. I was aware that you don't have to give an under 21 year old a squad place but not that you can still transfer players in
If this is the case seems odd that such a flaw in the transfer window hasn't been exploited on a regular basis.
Can you confirm what the position is please?

hi ed, at the end of the season is there any chance the club could pursue hulk again? is it a case of the price being too high or have we just lost all interest now? I feel he would still add a lot to the current squad but definatley not for 50million. cheers alessandro {Ed018's Note - I highly doubt it now}
