Ed02: Are you in Leipzig for Ballack XI vs World XI? And do you expect any developements in Schurrle and De Bruyne situations there?

JG {Ed002's Note - I am at an airport hotel and travelling to the game in the tomorrow. I have no idea if there will be any change in the situation or not.}

Have fun, bar tap is on me.

Schurrle's transfer is becoming impossible due to KDB. deBruyne want to come back and get a chance at Chelsea or to move to Dortmund. That means Chelsea will have to sign 2 (two) high quality CM's (like Marchisio, Fabregas, Matic, Sneider, Hamsik, Vidal) of course only 2 of those. Obviously Džeko will sign not Cavani since RA doesn't want to spend 55mil for him. Luke Shaw will sign and stay on loan at Soton (untill july 2014). Act. deBruyne was suppose to replace Lampard after World Cup when retires. This way he is changing club plans and he'll probably play at winger instead of CM position. Luiz will go only if Chelsea can get Varane or Mangala. If Mikel really goes to Madrid Fellaini will be his replacement. Very important is that Chelsea will have to sign British RB. As well as 2 domestic GK's which will be hard to find. Mourinho will play 4-1-2-1 instead of 4-2-1-2-1 formation.
What do You think about this ed002? {Ed002's Note - The only thing I wish to comment on is De Bruyne. There were two issues, and one has been resolved. (1) Leverkusen wanted to take De Bruyne for two years on loan - and Chelsea would not agree to that. They have settled on one. (2) De Bruyne has to agree to a year in Leverkusen - that has yet to be resolved.}

Believable3 Unbelievable13

Mourinho will play 4-1-2-1.
where would the other players play? at the bench?

Agree0 Disagree0

A doubt he will b playin a 4-1-2-1 cause thts only 8 outfield players

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't get me wrong schurrle is actually a good player. Brilliant link up sometimes a bit greedy (my issue with him) but why spend 20million on a player when we already have de bruyne, who I actually rate a better player. We're gunna end up pushing Kevin away from Chelsea which to me seems ludicrous. You don't find many players who can play midfield, wing, or playmaker and also as strong in his weak foot as his strong foot. Waste of 20 million to me. This is my opinion and probably a lot of other Chelsea fans. BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he means 4121212. JM, if u are reading this, please make sure KDB stay and be given chance, and schurrle will not do any better than KDB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha you mean 4-1-2-1-2

Agree0 Disagree0

The whole De Bruyne thing is getting a bit out of hand. He wants a regular place in the team as it's a world cup year, which I believe was the initial reason for the loan. He now prefers the idea of going to BVB, but they seemingly only want to buy while Chelsea are reluctant to sell. We're not pushing him away. At the moment he's not guaranteed a starting position and most likely will largely be used as either a sub or rotation option. Both of which may prove detrimental to his world cup hopes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not pushing him away but feeling quite unwanted, we need to be carefull. Stuff like this when a player sees the grass can be greener will move on easily! BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it true chelsea are interested in acquiring Dzeko? Thanks Ed

Jackson {Ed018's Note - no idea}

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on guys. 4-1-2-1-2! One of you wants 8 outfield players, the other wants 13!

Agree0 Disagree0

Luke Shaw will sign and stay on loan at Saints?

IF Shaw was interested in moving (NOT) the only way that would make sense to Saints is for Chelsea to pay a fee that would represent his potential value for 2014/2015. Think you would find they would place a value for that considerably above £30m, and no club would take that gamble.

Not too many more weeks until he is 18 and he puts an end to this nonsense, as he has said he will do.

Don't get me wrong, I quite understand your desire to get him and having seen Cole against Brazil I'm not convinced he will cope with good CL sides next season, but do you really think an 18 year old would be put into your side next season to cover him? Well no, because he would be on loan to Saints!

Think you will find a big reduction in players you acquire and put out on loan-and by the way, have you checked how many loan players we have at Saints (we don't do loans!)

how many times do you need to be told, Saints are no longer a club that needs to sell its best players so Shaw, Clyne and Schenerdlin are not going anywhere

Agree0 Disagree0

But we could hazard a guess who could be going to Saints!

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaw will sign for Chelsea, he is Chelsea fan and he want's to move to bigger club.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Chelsea Shaw posts always revert to fantasy because there is no reason for Shaw to move to Chelsea-so now he wants to move to a bigger club!
The "mine's bigger than yours" is an argument I vaguely remember from my schooldays-good to see it still continues. However, you have tried to magnify the effect by adding a little untruth (that's normal too) that Shaw "want's to move".

No he does not, and he said so during the last transfer window and the situation is still the same. But hold onto your dream, like other things it may get bigger one day!

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because a club doesn't 'need' to sell doesn't mean that they won't.

IB.

Agree0 Disagree0

But it does IB if they then say they won't!

So, how many minutes did any English player under 21 get in the EPL for Chelsea during last season?

Find the answer and that will give you the % chance of what you want this summer, and a big reason for it!

Saint Martin

Agree0 Disagree0

Clubs and players always come out and say 'we're never ever ever selling them' 'I couldn't dream about leaving' and then 24 hours later they've signed for a new club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dream on! Not much longer before you get put out of your misery.

Drogba back?- Really strong youth policy! Back to the Future, Part 3. LOL

Saint Martin

Agree0 Disagree0

Saints fans why are you so frustrated if you are so confident that Luke Shaw won't sign for Chelsea?

Agree0 Disagree0

Saints fans are not frustrated, maybe amused about the Chelsea fixation on Luke Shaw. Remember, you are not alone in seeing what a good prospect he is. Our club have had wealthier, and more successful clubs than Chelsea fishing for him but it is only the Chelsea supporters who think they can not be resisted. And all this based upon him being asked which club he supported as a kid!
Chelsea is exactly what Luke does NOT need at this point in his career. He is not daft. Will he move to Chelsea later in his career? Who knows. Will Hazard move to Saints later in his career? Who knows.
No, we are not frustrated. The club and supporters have seen this stalking building up for a while for a number of our young players but we know they are happy at the club and whilst that continues, they will go nowhere.

Can't really see why you should worry about Saints supporters contradicting you. If we made silly statements about who we would sign from Chelsea we would expect the same!

Ed018, apart from Schurrle, which wingers/attacking midfielders do chelsea maintain an interest in? Who would the alternatives to Schurrle be? Thanks in advance

Jackson {Ed018's Note - there are a few that have been discussed on here at various times. Search through the posts. I'm not aware of much recent other than what Ed002 has mentioned}

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Arda turan, isco have been mentioned.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Sanchez was aswell, but this i'm sure was from the media, not on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know but I wondered if anything had changed, because Ed's previously said that we shouldn't expect Isco to join and now Turan has stated that he'll stay at Atletico. Just wondered if there were any others.
Cheers Ed, have a good one

We don't need wingers

Nathswindon

Agree0 Disagree0

We should try and get Isco at all costs. He would be perfect for us and form a destructive relationship with Mata and Hazard. Use that Schurrle money to get Isco instead!

Greetings Ed, help me with the ff questions.

1. How are u?
2. Considering Monaco are spending one hell of a money this season, I want to know, thus the FIFA rules have a maximum amount of money each club should spend per season?
3. Essien, De bruyne, Lukaku are these guys back from their loan spell yet? - If not than when are they coming back because I thought they will return as soon as the season ends.
4. Which clubs are interested in Hernanes of Lazio.

Blueprint {Ed002's Note - (1) I am fine, perhaps a little hungry. (2) There are Financial Fair Play Rules that are coming on board - try searching FFPR in the box at the top of the page. (3) It is the close season - players have internationals to play then vacation. (4) Shakhtar, Milan, Manchester City.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Just reed the FFPR I understand somehow, Oh and please do yourself a good deal and go get something to eat, hungry can be as bad as meeting satan in hell.
thanks, Blueprint

Ed002 - would you be willing to update (if anything's changed) the sides currently interested in Cavani? I assume Chelsea, Man City but have Real moved on to Suarez? Are PSG interested at all? {Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed at all.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Sorry, so to be clear then the sides interested in Cavani are Chelsea, City, Real and PSG - correct? {Ed002's Note - Vaguely.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Vaguely correct or vague as in different levels of interest? I know most clubs would be "interested" in Cavani but I'd assume only a certain group could make a realistic move for him and have made that interest known to Napoli? (I've tried search engine by the way) {Ed002's Note - Vaguely correct as in there is interest from elsewhere and the PSG interest is dependent on something else. The Real Madrid interest is what might make something change if they decide to bid for him. Right now, there is nothing to report on the matter.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok thanks, appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres going to napoli to link up with rafa and cavani coming to chelsea exchange plus cash

ed002, now that CHELSEA have turned their attentions to Mangala do you think a deal can be struck or will Porto prove to be their usual difficult selves? {Ed002's Note - Eliaquim Mangala has been watched by Manchester United, Spurs, Milan and PSG but an unreasonable €50M termination clause has put off any chance of transfer. Although both Monaco and Chelsea have approached Porto about a deal it would need a negotiated price to stand any chance of completion.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Why do Monaco love Porto players past and present so much?

ed002 what do you know of chelsea's interest in Van Ginkel? {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Van Ginkel from Twente, PSV, Chelsea and Ajax. His concern in a move to London surrounds sitting on the bench although someone associated with Chelsea is to try to persuade him it would be a good move for him to make.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I think he could be the player we've been missing, he looks very classy and I've reports saying he is similar to a Ballack type player.
Sign him up.
One Bomb Tom

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed I understand if you don't wish to reply, but is the associated person a player or perhaps an ex-player/coach? thanks {Ed002's Note - It is of no relevance who it is.}
