Hi ed, in terms of van der wiel what is the likelihood of him joining Chelsea now that bosingwa has left?
Are Chelsea looking for another central midfielder also and if yes is tiote the man? {Ed002's Note - He is one of the two right backs most likely to join.}

If chelsea are spending these crazy amounts of cash on Hazard and Hulk, whats the chance they will bid 50m€ for Neymar?

Hey Ed, with Marin, Hazard and probably Hulk coming into the team what does this mean for Kevin De Bryne, will he go out on loan again or wll he stay and fight for his place. Also what does this mean for Raul Meireles and Florent Malouda. If they do leave where are there likely destinations? {Ed002's Note - De Bruyne will almost certainly begin next season on loan.}

Finally Eden Hazard has been confirmed as a chelsea player after passing his medical and releasing his statement.
I must admit both Hazard and Marin signings are fantastic. Both players can play as wingers and are devastating to that effect. Not just that as they both have the ability to play in the hole position too. Good times.
Hulk yet to sign but that signing would only strengthen chelsea and hopefully we should reach different heights.
Personally i wouldn't sign a striker and would use sturridge as the back up to torres next year. Hopefully the year after next, Lukaku will be ready to play after a loan spell out and could push for a starting birth alongside Kevin De Bruyn who is another exciting talent.

Im still unsure over Sturridge, I have high hopes for him but he needs to be more of a team player for me, one interesting stat I read today however, he was our top goalscorer this season with 13 IF you don't include penalties, frank on 16 (5 pens) which surprised me, any thoughts ?
PieZ
Agree0

Sturridge at present far too selfish -- he must learn to be a team player and the meaning of the word "pass". He has skill and pace, but was rightly played little by RDM when team effort was needed first and foremost. Even if he can adapt to that idea then he couls still be a good player for us. If not....
VBS
Agree0
Disagree0
I agree Sturridge is so frustrating because you can see he has potential to be a good premier league player he just needs to look up and pass when there is a player in a better position. I hope he gets a chance upfront this season.
Agree0
Disagree0
Completely agree. I think because rdm took him out we won the two cups because he always chooses the wrong options. Big liability. Back up striker to torres maybe ok i suppose

TERMS AGREED FOR EDEN HAZARD
Posted on: Mon 04 Jun 2012
Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce we have agreed terms with Lille for the transfer of Eden Hazard.
The 21-year-old Belgian international has agreed personal terms with the club and today passed a medical examination. He will join the club in July when the players return for pre-season training.
Hazard, who was pursued by a host of top European clubs, moves to Stamford Bridge from the French Ligue 1 team, who he joined back in 2005 from Belgian side Tubize.
He is a versatile attacker who can play out wide, behind the frontman or as an out-and-out striker.
Having been named the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year at the tender age of 17, the outstanding achievement from his five years in France was securing the league and cup double in 2010/11, his stock rising rapidly with a string of impressive displays.
During his final season at Lille, when he was a team-mate of Joe Cole, he scored 21 goals in 48 games and made 18 assists, playing an integral role as the club finished third behind Montpellier and Paris St-Germain, to make the Champions League qualifying rounds.
He signed off in style after being handed the captain's armband for his final game for Lille, scoring a memorable hat-trick against Nancy in a devastating first-half display.
Hazard made his Belgium international debut as a 17-year-old in a game against Luxembourg in November 2008, coming on as a late substitute. He has 28 caps to his name and played the full 90 minutes in the friendly defeat against England at Wembley on Saturday where he came up against three of his new Chelsea team-mates.
Following his medical today, he said: 'I'm delighted to finally arrive here, it's a wonderful club and I can't wait to get started.'
He becomes the fourth Belgian to join the club, following the arrivals of Thibaut Courtois, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne.
He joins German international Marko Marin as new additions to the Chelsea squad since the January transfer window.

Looking at the manager situation from RDM point of view,I would tell Chelsea to shove it were the sun don't shine as he's obviously not first choice otherwise he would have already been given the job. I'm guessing roman is pushing hard for guardiola, which I cannot see happening.Plus if guardiola takes a year out like planned,is anyone going to want to be manager for one year knowing your going to be replaced no matter what trophys you win. If guardiola doesn't want the Job now then let's appoint someone else on a full time basis and if it's Robbie then good luck to him as he exceeded all our expectations and that person AVB.
Believable13
Unbelievable1
RDM should get the job full stop.
He is good with the players, very media savy, and shown to be very astute tactically.
I have every confidence that he can succeed if only the owner shows him some faith.
We should forget about this barcelona football nonsense and work on a chelsea footballing mentality. Trying to emulate barca is a recipe for disaster imo.
BlueLenny

I think eventually Pep will be the next manager. RDM has got too big for his boots. In the end the players didn't want to play for AVB. Anybody else who had the backing of the players would do.
Agree0

PEP would be very good for chelsea imo it would take some time to rebuild the team for the way he wants them to play, i do hope the playstyle wont the same as Barce with the crazy amount of ball passing which is boring as hell...

Am I the only one who doesnt think RDM should get the job? I mean he wont the CL for us - but with very negative football. That wont work all the time ... so what else has he done?
look at the league form against those teams we will be fighting. Arsenal - draw, Spurs - draw, liverpool - lost, Man City - Lost, Newcastle - Lost. i know the Liverpool result was post FA cup and minds were on the CL but still. Those results over our nearest rivals were complete rubbish.

Hey Ed, if we do sign a new right back such as Van Der Weil then what will happen to Ivanovic. Will he play center back with Luiz, Terry and Cahill or be a cover as right back. Also has there been a bid submitted from Real Madrid for him or is this just speculation {Ed002's Note - If a right back arrives it will be as a replacement for Bosingwa who has left. It has nothing to do with Ivanovic. Van Der Wiel will almost certainly move in the summer and his preference remains Spain - although it is unlikely that something can be worked out with Valencia. Real Madrid have also shown an interest in the player. Chelsea may maintain an interest but they remain more interested in Azpilicueta. Roma was another option for VDW but he has turned them down.}

Ed 002 Now that Ivan has said he is happy in London and the club have put a high value on his transfer,do you think he will stay?
I know you have said Juve were interested but if Real cant afford him presumably everyone else would struggle as well?
Are the club still interested in the likes of Cavani & Falcao, who would challenge Torres for the striker position, or are they looking at younger strikers like Schurrle, who would be more of a back up?
Many thanks {Ed002's Note - If he says he wants to stay it is most likely he will. The situation with the strikers remains unchanged - the club are interested in brining someone in.}

Hazard £32 Million
Marin £7 Million
Still willing to spend:

We have spend over 20 million for Ramires, David Luiz, Carvalho, Drogba and Essien. They have come from the same unproven leagues. And look where have they got us. Look, these are not prospects we are talking about. They are top players already. It. It may take a year to settle, or it may not.
Luiz, Mata, Carvalho and Essien went into the squad easily, where it took Rami and Drogs a year to settle.
