Well if we were looking at Phil Jones before he signed for the mancs, i think our head transfer scout deserves a pat on the back after tonights performance!
CFCFOREVER!

Believable8 Unbelievable2

If he hadn 't had a bad injury at the wrong time, we would have signed him.

CFCFOREVER? are you mad?

Salvatore Sirigu is alledged to be interesting Chelsea he is 24 and is keeping goal for PSG. For those who don't know him too well he is Italian and is a future long term International for Italy. Surprised if true, but this is reported in Italy.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

He only joined in the summer from Palermo; add that to the fact we signed Courtois and I'd say the rumour is bottom of the barrel stuff!

Agree10 Disagree0

Sirigu has had some fantastic reviews and is very highly rated by PSG so unlikely to be allowed to leave, but PSG are thought to be interested in Malouda so there is scope for discussion over both players. Is it possible AVB has started to have doubts about Cech? {Ed002's Note - Doubts, no. Cech is a very forceful and vocal guy and cares a great deal about the club and his team mates.}

Ed002: will we bid for Azpiliqueta this month, or carry on with the Bosingwa disaster? {Ed002's Note - I don't know. Clubs rarely wish to sell in January.}

Ed002: now that Dortmund got Reus, does that have any influence on Goetze situation for January? {Ed002's Note - None.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

04 Jan 2012 20:46:15
ED,1)Has Reus' move to Dortmund been confirmed and 2)Do we hold interest in Alan Dzagoev, out of contract in the summer and he is phenomenal talent, only 22 and he is playmaker which we desperately need.
Scotty. {Ed002's Note - Reus is going to Dortmund. Dzagoev has interested Chelsea in the past but Arsenal have shown a lot of interest this year.}

Last transfer you did say Ganso we were looking at due to Modric wasn't coming was that just names we were looking at! Who are the deff players we are deff after apart from Cahill!! {Ed002's Note - I never said that Chelsea were looking at Ganso because Modric was not coming. You need to read the posts to keep up about other players.}

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I'm telling you now pal, one of u eds turned round and said Modric deff not happening but looking at Ganso!! you look at the old post...... last transfer window think it was last couple hour befor it shut!!!!

Agree8 Disagree1

I remember that buddy {Ed002's Note - Astonishing. I never ever said that Chelsea were looking at Ganso because Modric was not coming. A prime example that folks don't bother reading what is written.}

Agree2 Disagree2

I do believe it was Ed 18 who said it, not yourself Ed 2

Hi ed, are there any world class(or well known) full-backs chelsea are looking for
Cheers {Ed002's Note - Please read the posts.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Azpilicueta. That's all cos ed says van der wiel is going to Valencia and there's no need to replace cole. We did want pereira at some point but he's too expensive.

Agree1 Disagree0

Any news about Rodwell or another young English players?? {Ed002's Note - Nothing really - Rodwell will be priced out of a move in January in all probability.}

Agree3 Disagree1

I've just recived some interesting news from Italy! My source has told me pato only has eyes on one English club and that's the mighty Chelsea! Eds have you heard? {Ed002's Note - He has a chance and the opportunity to talk with Ancelotti this evening. I don't see Chelsea being involved.}

Cheick Ismael Tioté any news?? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable5 Unbelievable16

Would like to see us test Spurs again with another bid for Modric. And annoy them a bit too!:-)

Why would modric come to us!

He wanted to few months back! Spurs bubble will burst when BIG teams come caling for their star players.

ED002 anything new on Krasic ? {Ed002's Note - A bid will be made by Bayern Munich in the next few days.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Will we be making a counter bid ? do you know who krasic would prefer to move to ? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea would prefer a loan - so we need to wait.}

hi eds is there anything on the cards for chelsea with a transfer for eduardo vargas plus do you think chelsea have been looking at gaston ramirez? {Ed002's Note - Vargas has moved to Napoli. Ramirez is not an immediate consideration.

hey ed
do you think that the purchase of lucas piazon will increase our chances of pursuing lucas moura if we do put in another bid {Ed002's Note - Not really, but he may tell him how nice the weather and girls are in Battersea to try and entice him to join.}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I see ed 002 is going back to the same joker he was this time last year:)

Apparently Chelsea are interested in Sneijder and now again Ganso. Really comes down to whether Chelsea want to go for accuracy and technical ability Europeans have or quick thinking , improvisation of south americans. Ed who do you think is the more likely option? And who would you prefer to see? {Ed002's Note - Are you getting this stuff off Twitter or something. I cannot be expected to sit here and respond to everything that people read on the internet or on Twitter. I simply do not have the time.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Its not off twitter, sneijder interest has apparently due to the drop in his price and ganso interest because santos have said they may sell him

Agree1 Disagree0

What then r u supposed to do ED. You are supposed to answer such questions from folks. Aint this how this website works. Maybe its too much of a load for u. {Ed002's Note - This is not how this web site works at at all. I am not here to sit and answer questions at all. The Editors give up their time for nothing to ensure the posts contain no bad language, abuse etc. and I am happy to answer questions when time allows. What really pisses the editors off are the snide remarks like "Maybe its too much of a load for u" from anonymous trolls like you.}

dear ed,
you have said about Dortmund wanting to have Marco Reuz for a replacement for Gotze (when he leaves)

Reuz has signed a pre contract for the summer with Dortmund, any relevance with us and Gotze? {Ed002's Note - None. Goetze may well move in the summer, but this is nothing to do with Chelsea at all.}

Hi Ed's

I see that Santos are now saying that Ganso can leave, do we still harbour an interest or is Milan still the most likely destination for the player? {Ed002's Note - The situation with Ganso remains unchanged. He will be allowed to leave because Santos cannot get sufficient sponsorship to cover the costs of both him and Neymar. Ganso's preference is for AC Milan, or Barcelona if MIlan cannot facilitate a move. Ganso has his heart set on AC Milan, but Milan have a non-EU quota issue if they are to sign him. The quota's can be increased by borrowing from other teams in exchange for players on loan - which seems to me like it should not be allowed, but it is. To make a loan happen in January, AC Milan would need to give up one non-EU player (probably Mario Yepes) to bring Ganso (or their second choice, Fernando) in or obtain an an additional allocation. I suspect that Barcelona would not be interested before the summer. A 40M euro bid from Anzhi Makhachkala was rejected and Ganso made it clear, regardless of the efforts of Roberto Carlos, that his desire is Italy and preference is AC Milan. He was not keen on a move to England so there remains very little chance that something can be done with Chelsea who had previously agreed to . There is also reported interest from Real Madrid, Spurs, Manchester City and Manchester United. As an aside, Luis Alvero Ribeiro made a series of rather bizarre claims about his dream for Ganso (a) becoming part owned by another club who he will join after the Club World Cup (in December); (b) returning to Santos in June 2012 to play in the Olympics as a player of Santos; (c) returning to the other club in January 2013; (d) being sold for $200M in the summer of 2013. The other club is Porto - none of it will come to pass of course.}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Ribeiro = Fruit Loop

Agree5 Disagree0

Thanks Ed, Ganso seems pretty unlikely then. Shame, I am sure we will find an alternative though.

Agree1 Disagree2

P.S. I agree with you on the whole swapping of quota's thing.

AVB is unsure if Cahill will sign this window, if he doesn't there is a big possibilty he will join Liverpool in the summer.
Although Alex will still be allowed to leave.

AVB will be allowed to stay even if Chelsea finish outside top four.
Summer targets include a possible 4 player raid on his old club Porto including Fucile, Rolando, Mountinho and Hulk.
Although Higuain, Cavani and Soldado are other striking options.
Chelsea hope after the saga of Neymar, they can tie up a deal quickly for Lucas Moura with a loan back option.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Perriera is more likely than fucile but good post mate

Agree1 Disagree1

As I understand it, the main player that Chelsea have an interest in at Porto is Fernando, yet he doesn't make your list of 4 Porto players Chelsea will buy...

Agree5 Disagree0

04 Jan 2012 15:57:40
Chelsea likely to let Cahill play tonight, with a 90k week take it or leave it offer.
Kevin De Bruyne still on AVB radar and will make offer if Malouda or Kalou decide to leave this window.
As is Milos Krasic, although Chelsea not keen on 10M asking price.
Kakuta is a player French teams want with Nice now head of the queue.
Alex who was in talks with Santos is now wanting talks with QPR as well before he makes any decision.
Drogba could leave this Jan with Chelsea adamant only one year deal on table.
AVB wants Fucile from Porto for the right-back position next season.

Hi ed, if u are able to can you confirm Chelsea most recent activitiy with Sao paulo for Lucas {Ed002's Note - I have already answered this.}

Sorry ed just found that post, so a possible in the future. Thanks mate {Ed002's Note - Yep. A move this month seems very unlikely.}

I really hope we've contacted Sao Paulo again about the availability of Lucas Moura. Outstanding attacking talent.

Believable10 Unbelievable0

Yeah Chelsea are looking to get a bit of money off of him by giving them Alex, who is a wasted talent at chelsea.

I think him and ramires seeem quite alikeee

I'm hearing we've made a second bid for lucas moura?
he looks an amazing talent, less baggage than neymar.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Less baggage, same agent! Don't get your hopes up.

Agree6 Disagree0

I wudnt suggest the agent is such a problem, Santos president has basically caused alot of the problems himself, saying the player is for sale, then quoting prices, then uping prices then offering a new contract to the player then saying if anyone asks about his availability theyll be reported to fifa. Sao Paulo from what i understand we have a good relationship with and is the club we got Piazon from, so fingers crossed a deal can be made.

Ed, do you know if the club has made a decision on whether to pursue Real Madrid's offer of Higuain or is it still under consideration? {Ed002's Note - I don't know at this time. I suspect that there will be further discussion.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Higuain has said supposedly that he does not wish to leave real so therefore i doubt he will be coming

04 Jan 2012 03:04:38
ed is it true weve bid 30 mill for lucas from sao paulo {Ed002's Note - There were discussions with the club in the summer and an offer made then was rejected.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Do we retain an interest or are we no longer interested in him? {Ed002's Note - Many clubs maintain an interest in him but I suspect it will be possibly one for the future.}

ED002 just wondering was there ever any interest in Luis Suarez before he moved to Liverpool? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Hey ED, a brazilian paper has reported that Chelsea have increased their bid to 35mill for Lucas Moura, but apparently he does not want to leave.

Any Thoughts ED? Thanks {Ed002's Note - None.}
