Chelsea Editors, thanks for all the hard work and to pay back for it, next time you get a question about anything we regularly talk about (A new RB, new wingers, striker etc), just post the below paragraph in a cut-and-paste job to save the effort of needing to answer the same things you have over and over again.
Dear All,
This transfer window, we will try and bring in two or three players provided no players leave. The positions we are looking to fill are RB, RW/LW and Striker/CF. These positions may change if any players leave or if a youth player is promoted. The main targets for RB and RW/LW are Cesar Azplicueta and Victor Moses, from Olympic Marseille and Wigan Athletic respectively. Numerous strikers have been discussed. These include Edison Cavani (SSC Napoli), Radamel Falcao (Athletico Madrid), Leandro Damiao (Internacional), Hulk (FC Porto) (Who could also function as a winger in the above positions referenced) Wilfred Bony and Robert Lewandoski (Borussia Dortmund). If the player you are about to ask has been omitted from this list, we are unlikely to have any chance of signing them. We have already discussed the above players at great length and nothing new can said about them at the moment. Please stop asking about transfers such as Neymar, Ganso etc as they have already been spoken about at length and nothing has changed. Also please stop picking random names out of the air or other random players linked with transfers as we are unlikely to be linked with them. Please save the Editors a lot of effort and if you think the question has already been asked, use the search function and check before you ask.
Cheers all.

Niceone cfcforever fair play! BLUEBOY1

Hopefully Ed, unfortunately, why be sensible and read that when they could bother you with the same question ten times a day without having to care what you think?

Spot on, That should be temporarily made the title of the page ;)

Rich

Agree0 Disagree0

Not entirely correct though, as chelsea arent looking at victor moses for the rw/lw position, he will be a squad player. if hulk or cavani are not signed a few players already at chelsea would start over moses

Agree0 Disagree0

Please could you explain the neymar situation one last time.

Samir {Ed002's Note - Try the search function please Samir.}

Agree0 Disagree1

In all fairness, I appreciate the post, and no disrespect, but expect Chelsea to be linked with a couple of other players, mainly just paper talk, but fans want to know the right from wrong, isn't that what this site is all about? Yes the repetitive posts are just annoying, but linking with new players I find necessary. Sorry to any offence.

Devon.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above post, whilst you are correct in the fact that Moses will be bought as a squad player and not necessarily a starting place, you'll find CFCFOREVER correct in saying that Moses is the target for RW/LW. With the players we have at our disposal, we're currently looking for cover for Hazard, Marin and Mata who will undoubtedly be the starters for those positions. Not to mention that RDM likes to play Ramires in the RW role and Sturridge can also play there. Therefore it is highly unlikely we will pursue a RW that will demand a starting place in the line up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Random players out of thin air... like Oscar?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this post shall shut down the site, as after this there would be nothing to ask to EDs. No one would dare to ask any questions if you create so much havoc. Just leave it.

CFC Rules

Agree0 Disagree0

To the pedantic poster above....it appears the word "competition" was missed from the original post in regards to the players joining. Give the original poster some credit instead of picking holes!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes true, but if hulk is signed then he is more than likely going to be starting as a right winger, where he is currently playing for brazil.

last year chelsea wanted marquinos do we still remain instrested {Ed018's Note - Who?}

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Too much football manager son

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought that was a type of cocktail mate! Don't tell me RDM is trying to find the next Gazza! ;D

are we going to sign cavani or hulk before the transfer window closes?

Pre-Season doesn't really mean anything, remember in 2010 when we lost all of our pre-season games yet managed to win the double

so i would not worry too much

Believable8 Unbelievable9

It's not about winning or loading pre-season matches but how we perform, there's concern how we are performing, very reminiscent of the Chelsea devoid of ideas. It's quite underwhelming watching hazard spend most of three match defending, this shouldn't be and especially against Brighton. From next week on, there won't be the excuse of pre-season.

Agree1 Disagree0

Spot on

Now we will see if Di Matteo was the right man for the job

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah i supppose

are we sending thorgan hazard on loan {Ed002's Note - I would doubt it.}

Well a dissapointing result, but its not time to start panicking yet. That game was crying out for e someone like Marin to run at their defence so its a shame he wasnt involved. I think our biggest problems are our deeper midfielders and our lack our proper wingers.

I love Essien and Lamps but I cant bear the way they just jog around passing sideways or backwards... Mereiles might as well have not been on the pitch in the 1st half, he is un-needed in our squad. I think we can all see that our build up isfar too slow and un-imaginative so i wont even go into that...

I think we definitely need a right winger who can beat defenders because Hazard, Mata and Oscar are all just going to want to come inside. (As Hazard showed today)

All in all, though we shouldnt try to take much from thse games. Bottom line is that they are friendlys.

Badger

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Hazard is signed to be AM not winger.

Agree0 Disagree0

And this is why Oscar will be used deeper.

IB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree hazard is not happy on his left foot and it showed you think management would have picked that up in training
Also agree about Oscar I think he has come to do the lampard role
Need to look at other positions as well
Essen nowhere near the player he was
Terry getting slower

Agree0 Disagree0

I got pretty dissapointed aswell with the result and especialy the performance. Matteo really didnt learn that he shouldnt use merieless because hes s***. and the most creative "winger" was our defender (Ivanović) imho.
left side seemd most of the time completly unused aswell as the defending was horrible and so was their ability to build up the game alot faster and not just stand around and shoot the ball between them.
in my opinion if we get cesar we should try play cesar-Cahill/Luiz-Ivanović/(terry as benchie)-cole, my opinion is terry is too slow and still play as he was quick and there for fail to run back alot of times.

Pretty happy we lost today further proves how much we need a striker if we do not sign another striker we could be in some trouble anything knew on the striker hunt ED? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable1 Unbelievable11

Happy we lost? Unbelievable.

There were next to no chances created and we were far too slow in our build up play....how would a striker fix either of those issues? What today did prove is that there is a need for quality throughout the squad to drive competition for places.

Agree1 Disagree0

Again everyone is going to blame Torres
Again he had no service
Time to look at other players to blame

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree with the post above Torres had no service once again!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's because we play slow football which stems from the back four and Mikel!

What's the point having all these creative players if we're going to play around the back 4

Agree0 Disagree0

No service? How about go get the ball and stop waiting for it!

Agree0 Disagree0

He didnt do anything to get the service, another idol ball watcher, different story for Spain though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't blame Mikel his job is to defend and to play it to Meireles and Lampard

Agree0 Disagree0

This is laughable. Torres didn't get any touches early in the game so he had to drop deep into an overly crowded midfield. Name one clear chance he had in the game. He was the best player we had in the attacking third no question.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree0

Meireles not good enough for Chelsea
Essen not the player he was

Hi Ed, not really a transfer question but what clubs do Chelsea have a partnership with? I'm guessing Vitesse Arnhem is one? Just wanted to say as well how much I love this site, as you can see by my many posts each day and I'm glad Ed002 is our main ed because he always keeps a cool head even with some very annoying, repeated questions (tbf some of these come from me)
Thanks
ChelseaL {Ed002's Note - There are links with Vitesse Arnham, Inter Zapresic and Maribor. There are more complex links in Brazil with Fluminense that I don't want to go into now.}

Watching the Celtic - Aberdeen game today and i must say Vincent Wanyama looks class. Just like an in-form Essien... Ed is there any interest from chelsea or is he going to move to Arsenal? Thanks

Badger {Ed002's Note - THere is no interest from Chelsea.}

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Pity that's the type of player that's missing

Agree0 Disagree0

Should go for Etienne Capoue understand he wants to leave Toulouse

Agree0 Disagree0

I think even Mikel would look half decent if he played against Aberdeen

Agree0 Disagree0

Yh scotish leagues is a bad standard and mikel
Is a decent player dont no y everyone gives him stick

Agree0 Disagree0

You watching the same game as me. First half he was missing and then they could only manage a flukey mistake form the keeper to beat a poor Aberdeen team. He definately will not set the league on fire at United.

Looks like Moura to Inter, a move Ed has long maintained is the preferred outcome of Moura's agent. I take it we will not intercede and have dropped all interest at this point? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea drew a line across the matter when they hit a price at what they thought was already more than he was worth to the club. There were some recent discussions but it was in relation to a proposal that was never going to be acceptable to Chelsea.}

Sorry ed been a long shift with time on my hands ,
With 3 players coming in does that mean that the squad is full , and would we replace players that leave afterwards or would we need to trim the squad anyway .
Thanks again
Mickeydroyledge {Ed002's Note - If others leave further transfers will be considered.}

Hi ed with more reports of dan Sturridge being unsettled ,if he was to leave would we then look to bring in two high profile strikers or keep lukaku rather than sending him out on loan . Thanks for your time
Mickeydroyledge {Ed002's Note - We would wait until it happens.}

So it is pretty much clear now. We'll get Azpiliqueta, Moses and a striker.

It could be Cavani. Hulk. Schurrle. Lewandowski, maybe.

JG

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Man utd are getting lewandowski so that rules him out. i think Neymar is best

Agree0 Disagree0

Neymar is going to be one of the best players in the world but he ain't an out and out centre forward! Don't get me wrong I would love for him to be a blue!
Blue aero

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely agree with original post.
I would hedge a bet we land Azpilicueta, Moses & Hulk which will complete our transfer business for this window.

Hi ed, I know its just throwing around names, something you're not particularly fond of, but would Chelsea be interested in Yann M'Vila. In my eyes he would fit our 4-2-3-1 system perfectly and complement a more attack minded centre-mid like Ramires well.

Rowan {Ed002's Note - There is no interest right now.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

U agree we need a solid player in that position, and there are so many choices Javi Martinez, Fellani, Capoue and Yann so why dont we try on capture on of these talent as we have a far greater reutation than their clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think thats a brilliant idea, but i cant see it happening. I think after a few improved performances from Essien, he will stay and fill that role. But M'Vila would give us defensive solidity, good passing game and a lot more pace. We could end up with a brilliant attacking team, especially with Luiz and Cole in defence too

Really surprised Loic Remy is not 1 of our targets, quick, decent in air and can also play wide if need be. Metro linked us with Wilfried Bony of Vittesse and Stefan Kiessling of Leverkusen. Kiessling not good enough in my opinion and Bony i know very little about

Believable1 Unbelievable4

What I know of Wilfried Bony is that he is a very physical stronger, often gets compared to Drogba, however I don't rate him that highly as he plays in the Dutch league which isn't very prestigious

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive heard pretty much that Bony is a target man with a bit of pace
