Ed, can I just ask why Chelsea waited until the final day of the transfer window to turn to Ganso? {Ed002's Note - They didn't. There had been discussions at various points during teh window but he was holding out for Milan.}

hi ed you say one of our long time replacements for lampard is lucas, is this lucas leiva of liverpool or is it Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva of Sao paulo, please clear this matter up for me as i am hoping it is the later as i do not want a team full of Liverpool rejects. {Ed018's Note - lucas piazon, who will begin playing for Chelsea in January}

Thanks

Yeah ,a real longterm replacement. This boy! is only 17 years old and has no first team experience period.A lot of people are putting far too much expectation on his shoulders.This includes you EDs. {Ed002's Note - I think all the Ed meant was that he would be available to play from January. It is another example why it is getting near impossible to make any comment at all - my original comment was "I suspect consideration will be given to Lucas as a replacement for Lampard in the long-term" and that, like everything else has been taken out of context.}

Agree0 Disagree0

If you don't want s team of lfc rejects than why have you bought every player that has scored against you in past 5 seasons bar alonso I am a true Liverpool fan only on hear to see if it is true that fernando the rent boy torres wanted to leave look people you always walk alone anyway why would Lucas want to join you anyway {Ed018's Note - we dont want lucas from liverpool, did you fail to read any of these posts}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 please do not veiw my comments regarding Lucus Piazons inexperience as any sort of attack.This site is about rumours and on ocasion, healthy debate.Youself and Ed0018 have my utmost respect.I am just concerned that the hype is steadily building surrounding this lad.If Torres (as a world cup winner) feels the pressure of expectation How can a 17 year.old possible perform uninhibitted when we are all convinced he is KaKa,Pele,Ronaldo all wrapped up as one player.This boy needs nurturing and slowly.

Liverpool fans are just silly pricks. Their team cant win (Sry cnt even think of winning) EPL. Hence their star players start signing for other clubs with winning ambition. And these silly pricks keep on crying about this when thier players leave for Chelsea. You can yourself see the winning ambition of LiveFool when they sign players like Charlie Adam & Henderson & Doni. Lol

Eds just wondering who remain intrested in long term. I am of the impression that Meireles would have come anyway and he is not the long term replacment for lampard. More that he is a stand in for Essen as the talks with Fernado of porto never amounted to anything. {Ed002's Note - The interest remains in de Bruyne. I suspect consideration will be given to Lucas as a replacement for Lampard in the long-term. Aside from that there remains interest in the likes of Neymar but much can change over a year, so we will see next summer.}

Eds, Kevin De Bruyne's agent stated that he (the player) was disappointed with Genk, over their attitude and stance concerning the breakdown in Negotiations with Chelsea.
Has there been any word from either De Bruyne or his agent since? Is it correct that Genk moved the goalposts(fee) at the last moment? Can Chelsea deal with such a dishonourable outfit going forward?or is this just indicative of the cut-throat business of football transfers. {Ed002's Note - I explained all of this on August 31 - but it is pretty much in line with what you have said.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed, Thanks for that.I foresee problems with this outfit going forward.Some seem to think negotiations will resume within weeks but being drawn in the same CL group will only hinder progress.What do you think? {Ed002's Note - It won't make any difference being in the same group. I expect de Bruyne to join in January and be lent back to Genk for the rest of the season. If not, I expect he will join next summer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't we sign our new GK from them? They didn't seem too difficult to deal with at that time. They probably hope he will star for them in Champs League and his price will rocket via a bidding war. They will prob be out of the Champs League by Jan.

He is a top talent, hopefully we'll get him!!

ED,

With McEachren, Romeu and Lukaku all left out on 25 players' list for the Premier League, is it that the Players Under 21, can play even unlisted?
OR, we can't see them on the ground this season?

We fans are seriously worried on this.

Please help. {Ed002's Note - Under 21's do not need to be included in the list.}

Genk to reopen talks with chelsea in a fortnight regarding transfer of de bruyne. Editor plz confirm this report.

If chelsea agree a fees, then de bruyne would be available to join squad in january. In january will chelsea keep him or loan him back to genk or otherside?

Kings xi punjab chelsea rocks {Ed002's Note - There are no specific timings but the plan was that he would have stayed at Genk this season as he did not want to go on loan elsewhere. Now that de Bruyne is not 100% happy with Genk we will have to see what happens. I expecy him to join though.}

Eds, who were the players Chelsea either enquired about or actually placed bids for on the last day of the window? Was Ganso and Meireles the only ones?
KTBFFH! {Ed002's Note - There were also open bids on the table for playerts such as Kevin de Bruyne.}

Hi ed,

Firstly,are the rumours true about Piazon arriving at Cobham early?

Secondly, thanks for the great work you did in the transfer period. Constantly put up with abuse and pestering. Was a joy coming on and reading the rumours every day. {Ed002's Note - Lucas has made a number of visits and has been able to join in training periodically. He will not arrive and be available until January 2012 when he is 18.}
