Hey Ed, how is ur trip to south america going?
U answered a question earlier that an offer is on the table for Azpilicueta, has it been rejected or being considered and anything of interest going on under the radar, have a good time and enjoy urself.

Ed does this mean that Chelsea will return with an improved offer or switch their attention to another full back? {Ed002's Note - We will see.}

There's talk that Eden Hazard will finally be announced as a Chelsea  player tomorrow - delay was because of the Queen's Jubilee

Eds.. Will the club still try to bring in either Cavani/Higuain/Falcao?
Or is that dependent on whether they are successful in signing Hulk?
I ask because it appears RA has given Torres the nod as the clubs first striker at least initially and I cant see the three I have mentioned accepting being a sub.

Ed002 I have read most of your comments over the last few months BUT I am unsure whether the club are still looking to challenge Torres as the No1 striker.
I certainly hope so because I am far from confident Torres will deliver what we need next season. {Ed002's Note - Chelsea are looking for another striker.}

I see everyone looking at the defence and focusing on the RB area as a potential area for improvement and who they would like to fill the spot.

I believe our only candidates for first team places next season are are JT, Cole, Luiz, Cahill, Ivanovic and Bertrand (who i believe is a grest youngster and i really wish he gets more playing time next season). JT and Cole are bound to fill the CB and LB spots respectively and then the questions come of, who are the best 2 options out of Luiz, Cahill and Ivanovic and do we need new recruits?

In my eyes each player is incredibly good, Luiz has improved vastly and is a much better CB compared to earlier in his defensive career at the Blues, Cahill was a great buy and has really proved himself and Ivanovic is not only a great defender but has come up big at times in the season.

Its hard to choose the best 2 out of the 3 but if we do look for a replacement at right back instead of Bosingwa then i see Van Der Weil as a great buy. He is young, cheap and can add pace not only to the defence but when attacking also.

De Jong will be one of those being watched by a number of clubs from Italy, Germany and England. Interest has been shown by Dortmund, Liverpool, Lille and Newcastle over recent months but any waning interest from Newcastle has now been replaced by firm interest from both Dortmund and Hamburg. It has been suggested to me that Lazio are looking to Luuk De Jong as a replacement for Tommaso Rocchi.}

Hey Ed i Thought you was on a trip to brazil if that went ahead how's it going ?, with it looking more likley sturridge will be sold off to arsenal or back to man city, i pressume we are still very much in the market for a secondary striker , are we still intrested in jovetic or has intrest waned and has anyone at the club taken a serious look at the youngsters joselu and luuk de jong ?

I have been a long supporter of sturridge, but with the likes of hazard, hulk and marin coming in i dont see a place for him in our squad(especially with lukaku coming up). I believe it would be in the best for him to leave to a mid table club(although id prefer him to go on loan, which wont happen.

I have to disagree jono while i think sturridge is a good player he hasnt really developed into what i had hope i knw hes still young but he rarley attemps the little flicks on to the other striker and is greddy all round thats being kind while i do agree he is a capable of being brilliant for a mid table side he is niether good enough nor consitent enough to be a chelsea regular in my humble opinion if i could bring anyone to the club to play behind torres it would be luuk de jong hes young has an amazing goals per game record he would mould well but hey like i said sturridge is young if a loan options possible maybe it is for the best he could change his ways in a year then he would be a phenominal player.

IF Sturridge can learn to pass a ball instead of hog it like a little school kid then maybe he would get more opportunities. He is too selfish and tries to do it all himself everytime he gets the ball.

I think sturidge is better than lukaku, who to me looks a poor buy at 18 mil. I know he had a couple of decent games with the reserves. He doesnt seem to have a very good touch. I would keep sturridge as back up for torres. Loan out lukaku and look to bring in defoe. He wouldnt cost much, is happy to sit on the bench, quick and knows where the goal is. Just a cheap and easy option if you ask me. I know jose always liked him.

Hey ED's, just thinking, we've been talking about getting a back-up striker for Torres, how about Luis Saha, just been released by Tottenham, he always has a goal in him and he was on the bench for most of last season, i've always rated the guy even in his Manchester United days, just wondering what everyone's opinions were?

If you are going to get a second striker than you will need somebody younger and BETTER!

He's 33, wouldn't expect much playing time and would join Chelsea without a shadow of a doubt, he is a technically skilled player and could link up well with someone like Hulk

Ed:The suggestion seems to be that players like Essien, Moulda,Yossi Benayoun & Ferria who still have at least a year of their contracts left will be moved on.
Many on here talk nonesnse in terms of what clubs may be prepared to pay for them and I know that you dont like to talk numbers but will the club be looking to move these players on to make space within the squad and also reduce the wage bill by possibly allowing free transfers or will they be holding out for a transfer fee in all cases? {Ed002's Note - I would expect some players to move on this summer. They will leave because they are getting older and/or do not fit in the plans for the squad moving forward. As for being released, that is possible for perhaps Ferreira although if a club were to make an offer, Chelsea may look for some sort of future option on a youngster instead - a la Fluminense.}

More like £3 mill for Moulda,£5-10 mill for Essien and perhaps £1 million for Benayoun. These arent long term signings or in the case of Essien too many injury concerns

20 -25 million for Essien .... no chance, getting older, injury concerns and contract not far from ending. Lucky to get more than £10m in my opinion.

Haha essien 20-25 mill. about 5 years ago ya but now id say 5 mill. he is injured more often than not. was world class but his career was ruined.

Sturridge contract is ending next june. with torres and hulk(possibly) working as strikers, he might not be starting every game as stiker. Is there any serious interest in him from other clubs in england! Any swap possible? With tiote/walcott/dembele

^^ Kalou has already left on a free. And no-one is saying that Torres is better than Van Persie, but for someone that we paid 50m for, we're not going to now bring in someone for around 25m to start infront of him. It doesn't make sense at all.

Van persie has no desire to play for chelsea. so forget about the price tag please.....
