Eds, Hull City have signed Andrea Ranocchia on loan from Inter - weren't we interested in Ranocchia last summer?

{Ed002's Note - No - and approach was made to Chelsea about him.}

For me, we just need BAKAYOKO to replace matic in the starting 11. Kante n bakayoko in the middle. We will win the ball back on regular basis. hazard n pedro will have more ball on their feet to show their magic.

Why not give Chalobah more gametime he's more mobile than Matic and has a good long range strike on him.

Matic played very well against Arsenal and is rediscovering hid form of season before last when he was immense for us.

More Rumours about Costa agreeing terms with a Chinese side again. Seems more like when now and not if.

Who replaces him?

Aubameyang - Not for me. Fantastic player but wants Madrid move and I don't want players who don't want to stay at a club for long in the future.

Morata - His strength and hold up play are fantastic. Just doesn't score enough goals to justify the price tag for me.

Lukaku - Still think he loves Chelsea but his passing and his first touch are disgusting for a professional footballer.

Icardi - Good young player but his attitude worries me.

Dybala - My dream signing but I'd prefer to see him play as the left inside forward. Our system is suited to a big striker who can hold the ball up.

Griezmann - My second dream signing but it worries me how much he talks to the press.

I think we can safely assume that three of that list (Icardi, Dybala and Griezmann) are not viable options.

Morata could be on his way to Italy, so that leaves Lukaku and Aubameyang.

Maybe there will be further options we haven't considered? Dembele, Abraham returning from loan?

I'd love to see Abraham thrown into the deep end especially without spending money on Dembele.

Only just read your post garden, I've posted a similar 1, after watching contes press conference, he got directly asked about the rumours and he didn't deny them, in terms of a new striker coming in I haven't really got a name so to speak, but I would want a more technical striker who could get involved in the play and link up well with hazard and co behind, so someone in the mould of Sanchez, I think we should especially bid if they finish outside top 4, maybe even aguero, it may sound daft a little but he is world class, and this season he seems to have fallen out with Guardiola, and especially if city don't make top 4 they may need the cash to of set ffp, as guardiola will want a squad overhaul, both players are pure class both have premiership experience and possibly be available,

I agree with Cat someone with skill to link up with the forwards that doesn't just rely on strength. I'd say Aguero is Madrid bound. Can't see us having a chance with the likes of Greizmann, Dybala or Aubameyang. Personally I don't want Lukaku, Icardi or Morata. So that leaves to my mind a few options who have what I think we need. Cavani-but he's finally the main man in psg and I can't see him leaving. Muller-but I don't think I can ever see him leave Munich. I think what we should do for one season especially with Champions league is get Heskey back out of retirement. It's our only option :)

I think Icardi is viable.

All will change anyway.

I think lukaku will be the only realistic option. Personally I think we have a player in lukaku that would jump at the chance to come back. He scores goals most weeks for a mid table Everton team, yes his first touch and passing at times is not very good but he wouldn't need to be doing as much work playing for Chelsea. I think it works at the moment because Costa pressurises and is very physical, with also a lot of quality, which if I'm being honest I didn't think he had when playing in Spain. Griezman, dybala would be excellent players but I don't think could lead the line. Out of all the players mentioned above my choice taking into consideration price, availability and the need for football would be morata, but only if Costa where to leave. Otherwise Costa stays and give Abraham minutes.

How much did we spend on Batshuayi? Doesn't even get a mention.
