ed when is wallace 18 and when do u think we will get him {Ed018's Note - why do you have that feeling that we need a right back}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

YEAH we need the 2 portugese rbs to go as been there to long and not done it

ed do you know wwho wanted the signing of davila was it avbs or was he recommended by someone and how long were we watching him {Ed018's Note - davilla was scouted and signed before AVB

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hes a weird signing pretty out of the blue and not starting at vitesse so cant really c him play but we were willing to pay 5m for him

Agree0 Disagree0

The initial cost is irrelevant....it's all about future potential and striking before other clubs do. Everyone, including the player, would be aware of the development needed to progress in future seasons.

ed r we interested in benatia {Ed002's Note - He has been considered but Cahill is probably more likely.}

In a lot of recent games Dider Drogba has been starting up front with torres on the bench. If he is more than likely to leave maybe even in the next transfer window why does he start and AVB leave torres on the bench, do you know anything about this ? {Ed002's Note - At the moment the results are what matter. The players are all squad players and available for selection.

Will Chelsea be pursuing a playmaker in January?
Scotty. {Ed002's Note - "Playmaker" is such a new and hip term for a player. In the old days you hard such positions as right half and inside left, but I don't even know where a playmaker would stand at kick off. I advise not to associate months of the year with particular players, positions or, in your case, ethereal, roles. Chelsea are looking for a number of players for the squad as they continue their refresh. The focus will be to bring in the right players when they can, rather than just any players to suit the transfer window being open.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We are crying out for a playmaker he would stand in the middle for kick off

who are the main Rb's that chelsea will be looking to sign in the jan ? {Ed002's Note - It may not be January. Chelsea last night looked at Marseille's right back Cesar Azpilicueta.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Who else have chelsea been looking at recently ?

Hello Ed,
What is tha latest on Sso Paulo youngster lucas. ? {Ed002's Note - Nothing new. If Lucas Moura becomes available I suspect he will end up in Italy. Lucas was enquired about by numerous teams in the summer and the quoted price was $130M. He may eventually be sold for much less but way more than any English side will pay for an unproven teenager - with figures around 35M euros being suggested. There is, in my view, no chance of him moving to England in the short term. If pushed, Roma or one of the Milan clubs could attract him away from his other option - a move to Portugal with perhaps third party ownership. However, I doubt he will leave Brazil for perhaps a year or two.}

Ed002, are you confident two new players will arrive in the same transfer window as Anelka and Alex leaves? {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you expect me to say to that reasonably.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Just wondering if you knew if we were going to "replace" them in the same window, or if they should leave in january, we would wait til summer. something like that i guess {Ed002's Note - It really doesn't work like that at all.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes or no will do edd ? {Ed002's Note - It is a ridiculous question.}

after watching todays game i was thoroughly impressed by sturridges performence and put all my doubts about him aside, beside the fact that if he finished better he would hav had a hattrick. only key positions i think need filling are RB because ivanovic is a center back and bosingwa is a winger. center back i think will be fine if a RB is on the cards but i still think cahill will be brought as terrys long term replacement. my other issue is left wing. dont get me wrong mata is quality but i think he would play better in the middle three as he roames the park and leaves a gap on the left. romeu providing stability, ramires stamina and pace and mata providing creativity it is thought to relish, i think de bruyne will be a perfect player to play on the left and if not him maybe pereira. striker is just an issue of torres' confidence and the deliverance on which hes getting. I think a striker will be bought as drogba and anelka seem to be leaving and would love to see cavani or higuain in a chelsea shirt although i think paying an obsene amount of money for a new striker when we have torres is a bit silly
thanks webbo
your thoughts ed or others? {Ed002's Note - A RB will arrive at some point - probably in the summer but just perhaps in January.}

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Bosingwa is a winger? are u joking

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he's not a right back as he cant tackle or mark or stay in position and is constantly attcking not defending. he just goes forward and crosses crap balls in and on the odd occasion he does get back he defends poorly like a winger

hi ed is there a possibility that drogba or anelka could be included in a deal for higuain? Also has marko marin been looked at and are chelsea more likely to get him, reus or di maria?
finally everything seems to have gone quite around perreira is a bid likely to come in for him in january from chelsea? {Ed002's Note - If Real Madrid wanted DRogba it would certainly be an option. Anelka no. Dortmund, Lille, Lorient and Anderlecht have enquired after Marvin Martin, but Valencia and Arsenal have been most serious in the pursuit of the Socheaux player. I suspect a move in the summer is much more likely than a move in January. There is no interest from Chelsea. It is impossible to answer questions about who is more likely when you include players the club has no interest in. I don't think there will eb a bid for Pereira.}

Ed. Now that the club have confirmed Anelka is available have we got any other striker targets other than Higuain?
Thanks. {Ed002's Note - There is nothing new in this. There remains several players that have been looked at and we will see what happens.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Is it possible to say who the other players we have looked at are?
Thanks {Ed002's Note - There has been plenty of discussion on these pages already. I am not going to get dragged in to writing out lists of players.}

ed reports in chile say that chelsea have sent people to get the deal for eduardo vargas agreed today bout 9 mill alot of other big clubs interested any truth {Ed002's Note - Eduardo Vargas has to be a possibility but with interest from Italy and serious interest from Inter I suspect England a less likely destination than Italy or Russia. Certainly there has been interest from Italian and English clubs (Liverpool, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Palermo and probably others) but there are concerns from the English clubs as to whether or not he will be able to obtain international clearance immediately. If he were to move and go on loan, then the club is taking a risk that he continues to play competitive internationals for his country.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Yeah the report says well loan him back until june as they want him for copa lib

Jan Ins and Outs and Possibilities.

Out:

Anelka: He has already proved he can still play in the prem with his goal against west brom but AVB does not have him in his future plans so it would be good to get a bit of money out of him while we still can.

Ferraira: He has not played in a while and does not have much left to offer.

Alex: The brazilian has already made a handfull of mistakes so far this season and said in the summer that he would be interested in a move away from the bridge.

Bosingwa: He has not been up to his best so far this season and Gregory Van Der Wiel Would surely keep him out of the team if he made the move to the bridge.

Mikel: Mikel is below the chelsea requirements and is being kept out of the team by Meireles and the talented spanish youngster Oriel Romeu.

Kalou: Has never really flourished at the bridge and is nowhere near the talent of the other blues strikers ie. Lukaku, Torres, Drogba and Sturridge. Even though he claims he's a winger he can't cross.

Malouda: The French international does not get regular team football and it does not seem like he will break back into the first team by the end of his contract.
He is also very gready in front of goal.

INS:

Van Der Wiel: Despite the interest from Valencia Chelsea are still VDWs ideal destination.

Higuain: Chelsea have a serious interest in the player and Real Madrid want £40million from him to help them fund there mega £90million bid for Wayne Rooney.

Tiote: It seems as though chelsea have failed in there pursuit of Spurs midfielder Luka Modric and AVB sees Tiote as the next best thing despite his £25million price tag.

De Bruyne: Chelsea want De Bruyne. De Bruyne wants to play for Chelsea. The only thing thats standing in the way of the deal is the £15million price tag.

Cahill: This seems to be wrapped up.

POSSIBILITIES:

Hamsik: Chelsea will want to finish what they started on the summer deadline day.

Sergi Roberto: Is there a sneaky £15million bid for the Spanish starlet on the cards?

Bony: The Ivorian striker is intresting a number of clubs. Will Chelsea be the first to act on it though?

Lucas Ocampos: The slick River Plate winger has an easily payable price tag ,but is chelseas interest in the player real?

Feel free to add to this list in the comments.
And what are your thoughts ed? {Ed002's Note - My thoughts on most of these can be found by using the Search facility.}

Hi. I just read on sky sports that AVB will consider selling cech at the end of the season. Any truth to this? Personally i feel he's a fan Favorite and one of the worlds best keepers. {Ed002's Note - There is a chance that Cech may go but I rather suspect he could do one more year.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

He's 29, going on 30. We could have him for 10 more years if we keep his fit though {Ed002's Note - It doesn't work like that.}

Agree0 Disagree0

How does it work ed? {Ed002's Note - Take for example Kalou - he is about 25 and maybe has another 8 years left. Do you think Chelsea should give him an 8 year contract and keep him?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks {Ed002's Note - Keep in mind Chelsea have invested in a long term replacement for Cech and sent him on loan. I do still see Cech staying another year though. I can certainly see Claudio Ranieri being interested in Cech after buying him for Chelsea if Julio Cesar were to move on in his twilight years.}
