I've heard on the grapevine that if Chelsea don't win the Champions league this year, Benitez will be replacing Ancellotti. This is the rationale behind the Torres move.

Exclusive: Chelsea-Neymar, background
Abramovich's men has been working there for at least a couple of months. They were good, in silence, anticipating competition. Some days ago we gave you the news of chelsea hoping to sign Neymar from Santos for 35 - 40m, offering Neymar a house in London and around 95k a week wage.Abramovich's men . .were working in the shadows for more than two months after mid-January, and went into action, without neglecting other form, tied to the purchase of seventeen Piazon from Sao Paulo. And last week they have made time for Neymar: the figure is closer to 40 than that of 35 million. Payment will be two years. And for Chelsea, which soon will finish the final details, certainly a stroke of great importance.

Any truth? {Ed002's Note - Not at this time.}

Hi, Ed the guyz posted this ( on facebook) knows very much about CFC targets & they seem to get correct most of their speculations,

How sure you are that this is not true.?

You told me one time Torres won't come to CFC in January, But the Facebook guyz posted it in November that Roman will bring Torres to stamford bridge in January & it happened.

I want a precise answer . . thanks for your work
ED?

{Ed002's Note - I never said Torres would not come in January. I have no idea who has posted what on facebook. I can absolutely guarantee that there is no deal for Neymar yet - and why would the club offer him a house in London. You are believing nonsense. Please don't post any more of this Facebook drivel here and expect me to comment.}

Chelsea are expected to join the chase this summer for Qpr forward Adel Taarabt.
The 21-year-old Morocco international, who has two years left on his contract, looks set to leave Loftus Road in the summer even if Rangers win promotion to the Premier League and would command an asking price of around £8million:
Given that former Tottenham youngster Adel Taarabt had to step down a division to keep his career on track it would be quite some turn around if the 21 year old found himself at Stamford Bridge. The talented playmaker has been a huge success at Loftus Road and is a big part of the reason that the West London side looks likely to be heading to the Premier League.
Carlo Ancelotti has been looking at signings that help the long term growth of the club and help reverse the ageing nature of the Blues squad and a move for Taarabt may handily cover both bases. Since his move to Qpr, after a season long loan last term, the former Lens man has not looked back.
So far this season the attacking midfielder has netted 15 times and is also the Championship s leading assist maker with another 15 and he could well be a useful addition to Chelsea s squad. However will Taarabt look to leave QPR after helping the club back into the top tier? Clearly the urge to join the Premier League champions would be hard to turn down but would he get regular first team football at Stamford Bridge?
There has been constant speculation that Chelsea may look to offload some of the more senior players with the likes of Florent Malouda, Nicolas Anelka, Didier Drogba and Paulo Ferreira all linked with exits from the club. What do you reckon ed?
TALRD BITC {Ed001's Note - I am not convinced that any big club would have a serious interest in Taarabt, not once they do their homework on his personality. He has serious attitude problems which have necessitated QPR building their entire team around him to get anything out of him other than sulks. He would not get that at a big club, he would not be the only fish in the pond like he is at QPR, he would be just another one.}

Ed, in your last comment on 'Chelsea banter' you said that Higuain would not want to go to Italy when asked whether he is a target for Ancelotti. I see it that you are indirectly affirming that Ancelotti will be going to Italy in the summer. Am I wrong in my logic, ed? {Ed002's Note - Probably just a typo on my behalf.}

Ed any chance of a return for Arjen Robben and also is there a solid interest in Willian of Shaktar? Thanks {Ed002's Note - There has been some interest in Willian but I suspect he will not me leaving Shakhtar Donetsk before the end of their season. It semms that there is interest from Liverpool and Bayern Munich as well, and playing in the Champions League and having a pushy agent is boosting his visibility. I don't expect him to move to Chelsea. I also very much doubt that Robben will be returning to Chelsea. He made a throwaway comment about not wanting to play in the Europa League and somehow that got translated in to a possible return to Chelsea. I expect him to stay at Bayern with a possible move to Italy in 2012.}
