I think we will announce Baba Rahman soon! Close to being agreed I believe.

I really hope so. Don't like the look of Telles. Think Rahman will be a great signing.

He honestly reminds me a lot of zouma only at a different position. From everything I've heard/read he's an exceptionately athletic fullback to the extent that his physicality commonly helps him get out of mistakes. The only negative I've consistently seen is he can get caught upfield which to me is a positive as that's something that Jose shouldn't have an issue correcting. Overall I'm very hopeful we make this happen.

I would think so, too! Augsburg have already a replacement lined up in Philipp Max from Karlsruhe. I also think Jose will help him a lot with the defensive part of his game. Offensively he is already quite good.

Cheers

I for one am disappointed if we pay anything close to what is suggested for Rahman and actually hope we do not. Many here compare him to Zouma but he is nothing like him being 5" shorter and nowhere as solidly built. He is quick but is currently ranked by FIFA behind players like Luke Shaw, Kieron Gibbs and Gael Clichy, none of those set the world alight. As for Azi, Zouma and Stones he is a long way behind them and the latter two are seen as on the rise. Yes, I am sure many will say Mourinho knows what he is doing but remember others also have a say in transfers and down the years we must admit there have been a few shockers.

Please tell me you're not seriously judging him based on his FIFA ranking?!

Saim. That same FIFA ranking list for full backs has César Azpilicueta as the No:1 full back!

Well, Frensham all I can tell you is that former Chelsea Manager Avram Grant manages the Ghanaian Nat'L team that Baba plays on and I'm sure we've reached out to him for insight on the player. Also, in his first season in Germany's top division to be touted as the best left back in the entire league says something. Is he worth the transfer fee now, I don't know time will tell, but I'm definitely not disappointed that he'll be joining CFC.

I am sure they ranked Freddy adu highly a while back as well.

There are certainly a lot of Baba Rahman fans out there. FIFA/Opta, you have to get a guide from somewhere and with Azi, Zouma and Stones pretty much where you would expect, I used FIFA. Mind you there were a lot of Aranguiz fans out there, not a Chelsea player by an means stats wise and now found his level at Leicester!
It is unlikely Freddie Adu was ever rated higher than a 'prospect' as his career went into decline too young but in the early days he looked something special.
