Ed, why are we paying £18m for strikers and leaving them in the reserves, he cant need experience if hes playing in the first team in belgium and scoring 25 goals a season out there? are we gonna give this young kid a chance and play him now drogba has gone to the african cup of nations? and one other thing, when are we gonna get rid of drogba, he was the worst player on the pitch today and every chelsea fan knows it that was there today. thanks. Did we really pay in the region of 18million for lukaku? thats a hefty sum of money!

If players are used regularly at that age they mostly get an injury plagued carreer, look at walcot.

Why would he need time to adapt? he may be young but hes is built like a tankhe has been playing pro foot since 16 at anderlecht and international since 17, anyone who thinks he need experience is daft

ED before you said Chelsea may have someone help AVB but you were not prepared to discuss it at that time,any chance now? {Ed002's Note - Not right now. But there remains a chance that there will be hierarchical changes at some point.}

hi ed, is there any interest in any midfielder's this january because we seem to be lacking that final bit of creativity in the middle of the park and if there is could you give us some insight into who we are looking at ? {Ed002's Note - Interest remains in several midfield players. I have explained that the club are very interested in finding a long term replacement for Frank Lampard. They failed with Pastore in the summer and have explained the interest in Goetze who would be the preferred choice but I am pretty sure he will end up elsewhere. De Bruyne is still of interest but there is an issue over the money wanted by Genk. And interest remains in Fernando but Porto do not want to sell players in January.}

Hi Ed,
I have 2 questions to ask:
1) Cahil - Is the salary related issue resolved between him and chelsea?
2) eden hazard - i saw some videos of him on internet, boy he looks sharp and quick. he looks similar to CR (No wonder Manu are looking at him.). Is chelsea interested in him?

BB {Ed002's Note - (1) I really have no idea. (2) Unless an extraordinary bid is made in January, Eden Hazard will not be available to the summer. Real Madrid or Barcelona is his preferred destination. PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all interested to one degree or another. I said over the summer that I would not be surprised to see Manchester United through their hat in to the ring with Hazard as well. I don't see Hazard moving to Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan or Arsenal for that matter. Chelsea have maintained a long-term interest but one particularly influential party at the club sees the player as having an attitude problem.}

Thanks Ed for the reply! Talent and creative people are like beautiful women, everyone desires them but doesnt like the attitude which they carry with them..
Every special footballer has some or the other problem, it is the way the manager or management deals with it...i think that is why there are so many people in the management team and not just the manager / coach.. if we can risk 50M on Torres why not a young talented footballer who is desierd by every team around.. Ed could we get any of them if cahill didnt come and will we get another cb in summer {Ed002's Note - If Cahill did not come, sure. The summer is rather far away to speculate what will happen then.}

I really hope we agree terms with Cahill. Subotic hasn't started a lot lately and i cant see the reasonably inexperienced boilesen coming into the first team immediately

Ed, any interest in Drenthe? He seems like an exciting young player from his time with Everton and Real Madrid don't seem too keen to use him over the past couple of seasons. Maybe he could fill in the Malouda/Zhirkov role along the left side. {Ed001's Note - there is no interest from Chelsea as far as I am aware.}
