We always pay over the odds for a player, he has potential to be that price and more even though he is 25 however I would pay £12mill.

Good player, plays mainly through the middle but can play wider. Very quick, decent finisher, has a decent if not inspiring goal scoring record.
His speed alone would make him a great impact sub, and he would obviously cover Torres effectively. At 25 he has a good few years in him, and at 15mill i think he is better value than the other options, who are all overpriced.

From what I've read Meireles has been of interest to Tottenham, Napoli and Fenerbahce and Essien of interest to Arsenal, Fenerbahce and even Everton tried to get him on loan? With Essien unlikely to go on loan and Fenerbahce failing to qualify for the Champions League and Tottenham looking at other targets that leaves Napoli. Do you think they could bid for Meireles now that Gargano has gone on loan to Inter? Or are there any other teams interested? Thanks =]
