It seems as if the Vidal to chelsea rumours have begin to pick up pace recently. I heard something of interest a while ago and thought nothing of it due to the way our board is with players over 30, but with Conte expressing his admiration for him i can't help but believe there might be something happening with this. He's a player that would fit perfectly in our 3 man midfield, would add the goals needed in that area and still has 2 or 3 years left of performing at a high level. Would like to see your opinions on this as I've heard a number of Chelsea fans saying he's getting too old, will hurt RLC and his chances but he's still one of if not the best box to box midfielder in the world. Personally i can't see it happening, the board don't like paying money for players over 30 no matter how good they are. But with Goretzka seemingly off to Bayern they may well be willing to sell. Just hope if they are, we try and get him, the guy is class and suits this team perfectly.

Just remember one Michael Ballack, he was a good short term servant. Sometimes it doesn’t hurt if he can improve the group. As for harming RLC chances, I’ve said it before and I will keep saying the person stopping RLC from being a Chelsea regular is RLC with his work ethic, or lack of it. You can be as talented as you like but with no work ethic he will never make the top grade. I hope he can, but having watched him for Palace against Arsenal I have my doubts.

Ballack was a free transfer, I haven’t seen rumoured Vidal prices, if his out of contract or on last year then year but not for silly money.

If you’ve watched Palace this year you would know Ruben is lost out on the wing. Ask Palace fans when he’s been played in the centre he’s been superb.
