Have you heard this very strong rumour about Benitez staying on at the end of the season. Respect your view, because unlike some you are quite level headed & are obviously Chelsea through & through. {Ed018's Note - I could very well see this happening if a couple of other mangers choose not to come here. It is a long way off though, and leave out the end comments. They are not needed and only bring on problems}

I sure hope not tonight would be a sign of things to come no team stability

Dear me we have a bad game and it starts already!

I'm thrilled with what we've done over such a busy period! to beat Villa 8-0 then to go to 2 tough away places and pick up 2 wins was incredible from a side with only 1 recognised striker who is fatigued and not scoring many. Rafa has done a good job so far with what he's got, we had to rest Mata, Hazard, Ramires as they're so crucial and need the rest. Get some signings in this month and we'll finish 3rd maybe 2nd

I could see this happening because, if a manager does great at chelsea straight away and i dont know, WIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE he would get the sack (di mateo) benitez hasnt got of to a rapid start so hes there til the end of NEXT season.

Tarbat has an attitude problem , i remember when he was subsituted in a away game last season. he was so furious that he went straight to bus stop to catch a bus back to london.

I have been with this site for probably 2 years now, and over that time ED002 has been an invaluable resource for transfer information. I remember him calling Mata before everyone else, giving the exact reasons behind the hold ups in the Hazard deal, and correctly saying that Azpilicueta was the prefered RB in that long saga... Compared to newspapers and websites who are right an incredibly low percentage of the time, ED002 gives us every insight and would be approaching 100% in the amount of times he is right. He did not say that Ba deal was a lie, only he knew nothing about it.

I don't see why it's an issue for people who visit this site, or indeed for Ed002 themself, the acknowledge that not everyone knows everything. It would be no crime for them not to have known about Ba, as they're not Roman Abramovich.

Folks, be more realistic in your requirements from these guys or you'll lose any information they may feel inclided to give.

Eds, perhaps a disclaimer in the posting box stating what you are/are not likely to comment on may help temper expectations of the children.

Here here. Also told us the Cahill deal a few months before the papers released that "shocking world first" bombshell.

Ed is not Abramovich! He isn't going to know everything so when he doesnt tell us about 1 deal we must not start sending him abuse. He is much more reliable than anyone else on the internet. Thanks Ed for all your contributions they are much appreciated ;)

So ED002 wasn't aware of discussions between us and Newcastle... So what, she/he has given us a lot more accurate info than anywhere else and if the abuse starts again it sums up the persons on here, I remember ED.s telling us about jaun mata long before anywhere else and I for one appreciate it all, cheers all the EDS! Chelsea have triggered the release clause in Demba Ba contract. We have been given permission to talk to him and he has been left out of the squad to face Everton

Hi ed, happy new year:

I just wondered what the situation with Marin is? i know he has been our injured and now competition for places in his position is high he has struggled to get a look in. He's come on in a few games and looked pretty bright but now its the transfer window, he's been linked with loan moves away but i think he sould be given a chance before letting him leave so soon after arriving. He's 23 so he's got lots of time left and from what i understand there was interest from other top clubs before he joined chelsea so it would a waste to let him leave so soon. Do Chelsea have any intention to sell him?
