Just thought i would ask posters on this site who you wanted to see signed for Chelsea, either in Jan or next summer. My personal wish list is as follows
-Higuain (one of the best natural goal scorers around)
-Sergi Roberto (a great talent IMO, quick, smart and with a great range of passing, at only 19 he wont slot straight in but in a few years he could be a very influential midfielder)
-Subotic (I feel as though our defence needs to be more secure, Subotic has been on our radar for a while now and it may be prudent to bring him in sooner rather than later)
-César Azpilicueta (VDW seems more likely to move to Spain, and i believe RB is our weakest position, César Azpilicueta could be a great addition to the team)
-Hulk (We were linked with him back in the summer and i though he would have been a great buy for us, powerful, versatile and fast, rather expensive though)

Hi Ed, just wondering as were looking at strengthening the wings has X Shaqiri of Basel been looked at and is there any interest in him?

Thanks

PB {Ed002's Note - It doesn't really work on the random name basis at clubs - unless of course you are a Liverpool supporter. At this time I have to say no.}

hi ed
is there any news on ganso joining us?
also do you think over the coming jan and the rest of the year we are likely to see wholsale changes?
and finally will we get debruyne in jan and will piazon start getting playing time
thanks ed {Ed002's Note - There is no news on Ganso. De Bruyne's situation is unchanged with the issue over the money needing to be resolved. Piazon may get a pre-season outing next summer, then perhaps a three month loan, then we will see.}

Chelsea are reportedly being urged to make a bid for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain, despite Liverpool being linked with a move for the player.

Spanish publication Sport claims Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is willing to let the player join the Blues, if owner Roman Abramovich can match their £40 million valuation of the player.

The generated funds will be used to fund a mega-move for Wayne Rooney, it's claimed, although Chelsea would be more interested in the possibility of adding a proven goalscorer to their own ranks.

Higuain, a 22-cap international for Argentina, has recently come to the fore at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Jose Mourinho playing the 23-year-old alongside Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo in an attacking front three.

However, the former Chelsea boss is thought to be willing to allow the former River Plate starlet to leave La Liga for the right price, with the Blues sounded out as a club who could meet the asking price.

Chelsea spent £50 million on Fernando Torres last January, but the Spaniard has failed to spark at Stamford Bridge.

With the futures of Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka uncertain in west London, Andre Villas-Boas is thought to be keen on freshening up his front-line, and will need the backing of the Chelsea owner to make Higuain a reality for the club.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have recently emerged as surprise contenders for the forward.

Kenny Dalglish has shown he's willing to spend big on Merseyside, bringing Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez to Liverpool last January for close to £60 million, as well as Jordan Henderson and Charlie Adam this summer for a combined fee in excess of £20 million.

Higuain would represent another mark-up at £40 million, and Liverpool owners FSG would need to be willing to make a sizable investment to beat off competition for the signature and bring the player to Anfield.

Chelsea are thought to be interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong as they continue to identify potential transfer targets.

Frimpong has appeared for Arsenal four times this season and has caught the eye being compared to Michael Essien by the English pundits but there is reports that Arsene Wenger is becoming frustrated at the 19-year-olds attitude after his clash with former Arsenal player Samir Nasri in last nights Carling Cup game.

Andre Villas-Boas is looking to strengthen his midfield as he is increasingly concerned that his ageing squad are failing to compete with todays younger stars and is keen to build his own squad and Frimpong is thought to be high on the list.

The Ghanian has caught the eye of Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas with impressive performances since his emergence into the first-team squad and these appearances could see Chelsea make a bid of around £10 million in January.

Chelsea could be posed to launch a £14million offer for River Plate’s Lucas Ocampus, according to the Daily Mail/i>.

The highly rated 17-year-old has already drawn comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea have been previously reported to have made enquiries about the player.

River Plate have previously insisted that they would not consider selling Ocampus until they had achieved promotion back to the Argentine Primera Division following their shock relegation last season and the club have claimed to have already turned down a £15million offer from Inter Milan.

However, the club may now consider selling the starlet in January, with Liverpool also strongly interested.

Chelsea have also been linked with Brazilian club Botafogo's 24-year-old left-back Bruno Cortes as a potential replacement for Ashley Cole.

Chelsea will have to stump up £21.5m if they want to sign Palermo ace Josip Ilicic.
Chelsea are among a host of clubs keen on a move for the Solvenian attacking midfielder, who has caught the eye since moving to Serie A in 2010.
But Palermo are reluctant to sell the 23-year-old, who has scored 10 goals in his first 45 League appearances for the club, and are confident Ilicic does not want to leave.
And, ahead of the expected New Year interest in the star, Palermo sporting director Luca Cattani has told potential suitors that they will not sell unless his hefty release clause is met.
He told Sicilian newspaper Il Giornale: "We have no need to sell because it would weaken the team. The player will only be sold in January if Chelsea or another club pays the release clause.
"Josip does not want to move. We've spoken with him and he is very close to the club and the fans. At the moment I would say that Ilicic will stay at Palermo for a long time."

Alrite Ed just a few questions -

Firstly - Footie-online.co.uk is reporting Ajax is willing to sell VDW as he has 18 months left on his contract and isnt willing to sign an extension. They are reporting a move to Valencia is on the cards, do you no if Chelsea will actively persue him this transfer window?

{Ed002's Note - I know an offer was made to his agents by Valencia but this will be the salery package. I don't know if any agreement has yet been reached with Ajax, but suspect it is not far away.}

Secondly - Metro is reporting River Plate will sell this January if a fee of £15m is met for star Ocampus. Will Chelsea pay this much to get him and to get him in January? Is there any Visa issues?

{Ed002's Note - River Plate's Lucas Ocampos has been looked at by a number of sides with Bayern Munich and Chelsea maintaining an interest. I understand that Diego Caniggia took a look on behalf of Liverpool but it was decided that he would be too expensive to buy and that seems to have ended any brief interest that Liverpool had. Inter Milan, Sevilla and Palermo have also shown an interest and Juventus (not either of the MIlan clubs) made a bid of $15.5M. It is a possibility that a move could be made in January and there would not be any issues regarding visa's. He could not make the move until next summer because of his age, unless a parent or guardian came with him. He remains unproven and certainly no where near walking in to the first team.}

Lastly - Talksport is reporting that Borussia Dortmund would consider bids of £30m+ for Mario Gotze, he in my opinion is the creative star in the middle we are lacking in the CM position and Lampards replacement. Do Chelsea have any interest in Gotze and would they be willing to buy in Jan?

{ED002's Note - Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona have already been knocked back by his club and Goetze himself has made it abundantly clear that he wants to stay at Dortmund for this season, although no doubt a very significant offer would be listened to. Real Madrid may be able to persuade him to move. He has identified his favourite teams as Barcelona and Arsenal. There is also interest also from AC Milan - and I suspect that they are shifting their interest in Ganso or Fernando to Goetze due to persisting non-EU quota issues. There may be some, so far unpublisized, interest from elsewhere announced soon.}

Thanks

Ed is the talk about Van Der Viel moving to Valencia true or just media talk? {Ed002's Note - I know an offer was made to his agents by Valencia but this will be the salery package. I don't know if any agreement has yet been reached with Ajax, but suspect it is not far away.}
