Hi ed, do you no if AVB or Chelsea would be interested in Gonzalo Higuain? Apparently from what ive read on numerous sources Madrid believe him to be surplus to requirements? Do you no anything of this? If he is available for less than £20m i see this is a viable transfer for chelsea. Also what are your thoughts on Thiago Alacantara and do you think if Chelsea where to bid big say £22m + we would have a chance of getting him seeing as barca have alot of starters in the area he plays. Especially if Fabregas comes in. Thanks {Ed002's Note - The trouble is that you must admit you are simply throwing up random names. I really can't answer.}

I understand that but it is chelsea rumours and Higuain is rumoured to be surplus to requirements and Thiago Alacantara has come out and said he wants to be playing 1st team football, was just asking your opinion on these 2 matters.

Eds, do you think Ivanovic will leave? I hope he dosn't because he is such a beast {Ed018's Note - It would depend on what type of offer they recieved, if he is willing to leave, and who Chelsea would have as a replacement. All that being said, i'd be suprised if he was to leave}

He signed a new five year contract 6 months ago so, you should forget that question.

i think we should look to douglas costa shaktar said that they would like to keep him but would be willing to sell for 20 mil could be a bargain only 20 yrs old considering liverpool played 20 mil for henderson

So what your saying is that if someone else makes a stupid transfer then we should too? Smart tactics...

While i agree with the latter sentiment, Douglas Costa is a great prospect, I'd pay 20 million for him anyday

Hope we keep Ivanovic - He's quality and looks settled with us. However with Dann poissibly coming in and Romeu who can play centre back that would make a move for Branislav more probable. However Terry's not young anymore so I still think that we need him. {Ed002's Note - The long-term plan for the replacement of Terry has always been Subotic - at least for the past couple of years.}

Well then why don't we buy Subotic before Man City do like with Savic. Any latest or are we just gonna wait for Terry to retire..? {Ed002's Note - It really is not as simple as running around the world throwing money at players.}

I suspect Chelsea are soon to see a bid for Ivanovic arriving so we will have to see how that is reacted to.}

If you look at the 25 man squad rule its clear we cant get anyone in unless we shift players unless we aree prepared to pay people to not play football which I dont think is an option.

Zhirkov leaving is not nearly enough....we need to try to move on....

Don't believe it we recently put a price of £20 million on sturridge. Y jump from an offer of £26 million to £30 million plus sturridge thats equivalent to £50 million. No way.

I originally posted this and it said that our valuation of sturridge was £10 Million thus making this a £40 Million offer

No chance of Sturridge leaving. Modric + £20mill more like.

I have just read that Santos have confirmed they have rejected a bid for Neymar from Real, do you know if this is true? And if it is where does it leave our bid? I was under the impression that RMs bid was more favourable because it allowed Neymar to stay with Santos until Jan. If all this is true do you expect RM to come in with a different bid, or will they focus on other reported targets like Tevez, Adebyor etc? Cheers Ed.

The squad wasn't good enough to win anything last season. With less than two weeks to go to the start of the new season the only confirmed signing is a goalkeeper who won't be part of the squad. While I still believe we will be title contenders I am concerned about our usual biannual problem when we will again lose key, experienced players to the African Nations Cup in January. Forget about Thiago Alcantara he would be moving anywhere with him and also Fab moving this can give Barca a much deeper squad within midfield, but he is sure to be a top talent.

40 mil far 2much for Modric its starting to look a bit desperate , we need to keep the faith regarding signings, easier said than done but either way deepdown whoever our starting XI is come this new season i'm sure we'll all be cheering them on.

Because you need to have a bid accepted to talk to a player, otherwise you will be tapping up. All of the bids for neymar are on the table at the moment, meaning they haven't been accepted or declined. I would guess that this is because they are waiting for a larger big to come in from RM or just weighing up all their options. Either way, until our bid is accepted we can't do anything.

Can i ask why not? if cesc comes and Pep keeps the same formation then Thiago will have very little chance for the next few years to make anything like the number of apperances his talent warrents? A move to Chelsea might see him as a first team regular in less than a year, i dont understand why him moving away is so totally out of the question, i have clearly missed something. {Ed002's Note - It is very unlikely.}

Thanks {Ed018's Note - i thought lukaku was going to join and i still think its possible but he did come out today and basically said if he comes to chelsea he wants to play and i'm not sure what kind of gurantee we can give him. anything involving a right back has gone very quiet.}
