Ed - Seeing as Branislav Ivanovic got a Straight Red Card, does that mean he will get a 3 match ban ?

I Know Torres's is only one match {Ed001's Note - according to the FA's suspension list, the ban is 1 match.}

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Sorry if I'm mistaken but it's only a 3 match ban if it's violent conduct?

M.

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't a 3 match ban for violent conduct or a repeat offender?

Agree0 Disagree0

Arent we appealing Torres red card?! surely we are...?!

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant if it is a double yellow

Agree0 Disagree0

No point in appealing. I think we would have rested Torres and Brana for the League Cup anyway

Ed 002 Is it true that Fernando of Porto extended his contract in 2009 to July 2013 ?
If that is the case presumably he might be available at a decent price in January ?
Thanks {Ed002's Note - His contract runs until June 2014.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Thats a shame which means he will be very pricey as you say.

Agree1 Disagree0

How much is he worth? i do not know him that well, 20m Euro? {Ed002's Note - We have no interest in discussing money on this page.}

Eds, with my limited knowledge of the FA ruling, can i ask a question? If the scenario arose where the FA were unhappy against Clattenburg's actions either due to the alledged comments and slurs he made to Chelsea players or if there was any possibility of match-fixing ocurring and felt Chelsea had been cheated out the game (like we were), what would happen? Would the game (have any possibility) of being replayed? Or a points deduction for United if they were found to be involved in it? I know its unlikely, but i'm just quite curious to see how the FA would deal with it.
EH17 {Ed002's Note - There is no match fixing. It is a simple case mof a couple of bad decisions - suchk it up and move on.}

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Thats a veru strong statement to make about the match fixing no such thing occurred only a few bad decision. However having read the papers this morning if Clattenburg didnt say those things to the players then chavski are in for a world of hurt players banned potential points deductions and all because there a bunch of overpayed spoilt children {Ed002's Note - Rubbish.}

why move on?? & lets these refrees do watever they want?? allow them to repeat their mistakes?? i think he should be punished like players are punished. {Ed002's Note - It is simply a mistake, there is nothing deliberate in their actions. In the big scheme of things it is completely unimportant.}

yes it was match fixing... if chelsea would have won,then they would havewent 7 points clear it would taken utd or city 2 months to catch on..n may b tittle race would have tilted in chelsea favour {Ed002's Note - Idiot.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Get a grip guys we lost end off look at it like this we played some great stuff yesterday and looked like a team they have a lot of problems man u and I really don't think they will be in the hunt for the title this year

Agree0 Disagree0

There's no match fixing, there's no conspiracy, we were simply on the wrong end of a few poor decisions. As has been said, move on and get over it, there were still plenty of positives for us to take from the game and in spite of losing, I think we learnt an awful lot about our team when the going gets tough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool fan in peace- I was driving and listening to the commentary yesterday- when I heard that Clattenburg was reffing the game I had a gut reaction that he would favour Man Utd- especially after he gave them a helping hand against us at Anfield earlier in the year. I am much more cynical than you about these refs than you ED" and I think there should be some independent analysis of the major decisions (eg penalties/sending offs) given by some refs in favour of certain clubs. {Ed002's Note - Nope, just a game.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Typical chelsea supporters. Too arrogant to notice they were outplayed.

Agree0 Disagree0

There are none so blind as those that can't see, Ed. The football authorities can carry on ignoring these ridiculous decisions at football's peril. Quite frankly the "mistakes" that were made on Sunday evening were quite appalling and I would expect Sunday league refs to get those decisions right. Ignoring them is not an option. Until the FA get their refs to make competant decisions then people are always going to suspect there are conspiracies. And while we are on the subject of "mistakes" how is it a mistake to send a player off for exaggerating a fall. That is a entirely new interpretation of FA rules. So now even if fouled you can't be seen to "exaggerate a fall"? Now that was hitherto unknown to football rule book. So Clattenberg is now re-writing the rules as he goes along?

You can be as glib as you like but the decisions made on Sunday were a disgrace. {Ed002's Note - Did you complain when Chelsea were awarded a goal that was clearly offside against Reading?}

Agree0 Disagree0

I never complain about Chelsea goals. But that isn't the issue. This is three glaring errors (although I cut Clattenberg some slack on the Ivan sending off) that had a huge impact on the game. We are not talking about some one off error of judgment by a lino or ref. And I haven't even started on why all their niggly fouls went more or less unpunished.

Just because we are sometimes on the good end of some dodgy calls does not mean that we should all turn a blind eye to incompetence.

Agree0 Disagree0

What decisions did he get wrong? Ivanovic was correctly sent off and it was the linesman who failed to flag for the Hernandez goal which was very tight. I personally think Torres should have had a free kick but remember two things: he should've been red carded in the first half for the chest high challenge and the ridiculous way he went down holding his knee(?) made it look like a dive.

Dont be fooled by the hysteria

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't the player that Ivan fouled come from an off side position?

Ed could you please list the players Chelsea are considering buying for the defensive centre mid position? I understand Fernando of Porto is one of them. Could you please name some others? Would be really appreciated. Many thanks. -James13 {Ed002's Note - There is no list of defensive midfield players James. Fernando is seen as a possible replacement for Essien, but is likely not to be affordable.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

So if Fernando is Expensive ... who will be an ideal choice to replace Essien ... who is being considered for this position in january or the summer
