Apparently Havertz would feature for Leverkusen in the Europa league. Things not looking as certain as we all hoped. Not going to get ahead of myself with this one for all we know it’s all noise like Ed002 said.

Also, Ed002 hasn’t given any positive update on this so I don’t think he is close to signing for the club. 😬.

Eli it's a big money move, stuff like this takes time. The club wouldn't go through what they have if they didn't feel an agreement wouldn't be reached. However Any updates from any of the Ed's would be appreciated though, if not then no worries!

Totally agree Mc1993 and Ed018, I personally believe Havertz will be à Chelsea player come the 5th of October, but I for one have gotten ahead of myself already teasing my brothers on how our attack of Werner, Pulisic, Ziyech, Mount and Kai is going to wreck Europe next season.

Just perhaps giving myself a reality check that nothing is set in stone YET!

Well right now Leverkusen seem adamant on the fee of 100m euros.

Chelsea are obviously trying to lower that fee and the reported 80m euros isn't far off.

I think given that Havertz is pushing for the deal makes it more difficult for Bayer to persist on 100m euros and I'm sure they will accept a lower fee. I don't think we would have gone this far with the player if we didn't think it could happen. let's not forget Havertz will be on his final year of contact next summer.

PS: out of curiosity how do you know the media reports are even true? This deal seems to have gone quiet and are these journalists making stuff up because its gone quiet.

ELI your not the only one because there are big fan accounts on Twitter taking the mic with the Havertz deal and already disputing with rival fans on how we have the best attack despite not signing the player 😐

It will be a reality check for many including myself if it doesn't happen.

The season has even finished yet! We still have 2 matches to play! There is no rush!

Want, want, want - why do people demand signings be confirmed ASAP. Let’s concentrate on FA Cup Final and Game against Bayern first. Then let’s go from there.

We’ve got until October to do a deal with players.

Just relax, enjoy life and celebrate when it’s all confirmed officially.

I am glad that Havertz is staying to play in the Europa for BL - it shows commitment. Tbh, I was disappointed that Werner didn't stay to play in the CL.

Imagine if we had been selling Hazard this summer and he had decided to leave while we still had European commitments - we'd be livid with him.

Morning all. I am very happy that we managed to qualify for champions league and am excited with our transfer business to date. I know that sancho seems to be headed to united but if it was my choice I would forget spending stupid money on a keeper and left back and get Sancho as well as Havertz.

This would give us one of the most formidable attacks we have ever had. We have Maatsen waiting in the wings and think we sell Emerson and keep Alonso. Goal keeper try to pick up Ben foster for cheap and we have Ampadu coming back from loan for CB. I just think if an opportunity is there to sign a player who supports and wants to play for the club with the obvious quality Sancho has we should go all out.

Having a great attack and shocking defence would be a bad move, I think we all wanted sancho but fact we can get possibly havertz along with Werner and ziyech for a little more than sancho fee is brilliant business, we need CB LB GK which won’t be cheap.

We won’t need Sancho and his crap attitude. United are welcome to him in my eyes. He’ll be another Pogba for them. I’m happy with Havertz and then concentrate on back 5.

I feel you Spearce96, I really like Sancho too but we need a good CB, LB (achieve good balance) . On the issue of a goal keeper: I think having a good goalie can never be over emphasised, that being said, I feel there’s still something good in Kepa (if we can beef up our defence and acquire a good backup goal keeper) .

Agree with others that Pulisic, Ziyech, and CHO is plenty sufficient on the wings and we really need help at the back. I think the greater hypothetical question would be would you sign havertz if it meant forgoing strengthening the defense.

I don't think it is an either or but you have to sign Harvetz just so few of his quality available imho.
