ED018 what do you know of the Pastore deal media have it split at the moment? {Ed018's Note - at this point i know what you know. There were meetings today but i havent heard anything worth while since then.}

I have been nervous all day hoping some news will come out i hope to god we strike a deal

I wouldnt say the media has it split mate, nearly all sources claim that he will sign for PSG. Unfortunately for us weve again dragged our feet when it comes to signing a deal and again got outgunned by another club

All the players that would improve our team will have gone by the time we start buying will Lakuku improve our team? No....typical Chelsea poor transfer policy shocking {Ed018's Note - Lukaku will be for the future and i consider to be a very important signing, but i agree that they need to bring in 2 players this season that will have immediate impact.}

Mate i no you have been asked this several times but with us playin 4-3-3 we need a winger man city wont sell adam johnson to us Mata is a no go realistically the only other viable option who can play both right and left flank are Hulk And Hazard {Ed018's Note - yes it makes sense that we need at least one winger. AVB did say he will play with 3 true forwards up top though so im not sure what he may be thinking. I'd expect Sturridge to get a good chance at RW or RF this year. I'd be happy with Hulk, Johnson needs to mature a bit, and Hazard seems content to stay in France for another season}

Do you think Josh Mc will go on loan? And do you think Lamps will play 30 plus games? we need a succesor to the great man {Ed018's Note - At this point, no. I think we will need a good contribution from him this season, and i do thin this kid is gonna be great. Lamps, its hard to say. he needs to stay healthy first and foremost, but obviously he is slowing down a bit, can't help but wonder if AVB playing him in the holding role last match is a sign of things to come}

Does AVB play with 2 holding mids normally he hasnt seen Ramires yet i thought he would play in the holding role with 2 men in front creating chances {Ed018's Note - well he has played a variety of formations in preseason, at Porto he used one holding mid, which was Fernando}

Everyone should stop asking the pastore questions eds know as much as we do, agents are discussing it with chelsea reps now within next few hours we will find out how the talks went and late tonight or early morning tomorow you'll find out he has signed for, heres all the information you need now everyone can stop asking these questions. {Ed02's Note - There are no discussions going on with Chelsea right now.}

I believe there are Palmero Offside has reported this, their bad.

Fact is, psg beat us in the bidding, says it all when a groupstage champs league team has more ambition than a club with a billionaire owner

Yeah Agreed, Chelsea should of bidded up, Chelsea are missing out on everyone we'll be going for fourth if were lucky this season.

Talksport are the only site reporting Pastore to join PSG.
Metro reporting agent still in discussions with us
Until it's 100% and on the Skysports Infobar were still in with a shout...
We are seriously the better option and we have to go the extra mile for this guy

The problem is he may see psg as a short term option for a year or two where he can earn double what chelsea would pay him and get his ideal move to a spanish or italian giant :(

do you think after what has happened between pastore and chelsea today do you think chelsea might do one of these three things:

1)make a final improved bid for modric

2)put an offer in for jauo moutinho

3) finnaly try and get scott parker on a season loan deal to chelsea where he would return to west ham if they got promoted back into the premier league next season {Ed02's Note - No idea, sorry.}

Ed, Talk Sport are stating that Pastore has almost joined PSG and have won the race to sign him. In your opinion is talk sport a reliable source. Thanks {Ed02's Note - I gave my opinion earlier on where we are. ARe cannot comment on TalkSport.}

Wouldnt even be surpriced if talksport writes that just to spite us.. they seem to hate chelsea

From what is understood chelsea are offering 40 mil euros which is about £35 mil PSG are offering 43 mil euros which is bout 37.5 mil and a 4 mil euros salary {Ed02's Note - The salary is a little higher and critically net of tax. So about double what Chelsea would offer.}

Any new info ED002 have the meetings with agents finished? {Ed02's Note - I have not heard anything at all. I have explained that the only matter put in front of Chelsea is to do with the financials and Chelsea are not in a position to match the wages PSG have on offer. I don't know that he has signed with PSG as everyone here is suggesting. Perhaps it will become clearer this evening or tomorrow. I will not be in a position to post updates for a few hours so someone else can deal with the panic attacks. But please try no to believe everything you read on the internet. Wait for a statement from one of the clubs.}

But chelsea can offer Champions league football surely this must be taken into thier consideration

Chelsea offer better football( champions league) and better players and chelsea would end up offerimg more than two million in wagesthats less than 50,000 a year

I meant are your notes a weekly/monthly occurance or random when you get information {Ed02's Note - As and when there is anything worth reporting I guess. Depending on my strange mood things I may not say anything at all. I have not considered making stuff up but may start doing that to amuse myself aswell.}

Ed002. Why did we drop our interest in Sneijder? {Ed02's Note - I don't know that there was that much interest in the player and I suspect Chelsea would not be willing to match his wages.}

Hey Ed, some news just came in from talksport just now, and they said:

"New Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is set to miss out on yet another major transfer target, with Palermo s Javier Pastore on the verge of a move to Paris St Germain."

Has he agreed to join psg then ed02? {Ed02's Note - I don't know. We knew that he was not keen on a move to England and the thought is that the wages offered by PSG are significantly higher than Chelsea would pay the perhaps he will.}

When will a decision likely to made? is his agent currently in talks with both clubs or yet to meet? {Ed02's Note - They have met with Chelsea and were in discussions with PSG's owners over lunch.}

Reports are saying we are 55-45 in favour of signing him

Any idea what was said? {Ed02's Note - No, but I suspect it was a further request for Chelsea to bid higher and a request for wages which Chelsea have already said they will not pay.}

Whats your gut feeling ED02 where do you think he will end up? {Ed02's Note - Probably PSG. I would guess that Chelsea are not going to go close on wages.}

Then what is the reason we have a lack of interest In him? {Ed02's Note - There is no explicit reason, just a decision not to make a bid.}

so just to clear things up ed u said earlier no longer any interest in mata so there is zero chance of us signing him this summer? {Ed02's Note - I would not think there is zero chance, but as we stand at present, there is not going to be any further consideration of the player.}

Ed002: you are right the trasfer window still has a month to run, while the stoke game is two weeks away. I would suggest no need to panic, other than our targets being unavailable, too expensive for our valuation, or most painfuly signing elswhere. Nothing much to cheer, if frankly.

I suspect you are aware of Simonians meeting today, but whom is he talking to if Gourlay and Buck are in Honk Kong. Is it Emenalo? If so then good ridance. {Ed02's Note - It is not Emanalo so don't worry.}

Accoding to a couple of sources he might not want to be in England, a i dont really understand it, if he doesnt want to move to Chelsea he might as well stay with Palermo, going to PSG would be a step down in my opinion. And from the point of view of looking to the future the English and Italian league have far better exposure than the french league. I just dont get it. If he doesnt come i hope we have another option other than Modic, i would hate us to panic buy him for 30+mill. {Ed02's Note - He will certainly be leaving Palermo. Whilst you have a low opinion of the French League others, fortunately, do not.}

Also cannotbeleive AVB thinks the squad does'nt need a make-over , i'm all forgiving him a chance but dont give us that BS, when every CFC fan knew from mid las season what was needed for a successful season ahead. Adam Johnson , Turan or Di Maria isn't goingto win you the CL or the EPL i would take Mata over them any day for probably less money and less wages, and now it looks like Arsenal are getting a steal, the wole Chelsea transfer saga is become a little to much for us fans, so far we have only purchased players who are not even going to be playing this seasons, we need 1st team purchases and big ones at that lets hope we get a few if and when we capture Pastore, if we lose out on him to PSG the football world will be laughing at CFC

on sky sports its confirmed PSG have signed the palermo keeper Sirgiu (spelling) and at the end of the article it says they believed to be close to a deal for Pastore? is that just lazy press or do you think it has any substance? also do you think with them signing Menez, sissoko, matuidi would reduce the possibility of Pastore going der?

I honestly think that if Javier chooses them over us its his loss

Simonian has been trying to get both clubs to raise the bids and has been encouraging others to bid. He will have a meeting with Chelsea today. It some point we will find out what the decision is. As I said yesterday, reports that he had signed for PSG were premature.}

Personal terms worry me a bit do PSG have the capabilities to offer the player a deal we cant match?, a way which City did for Aguero. {Ed02's Note - As I understand it they would like more money. PSG can offer a good package for the player but the biggest issue still probably relates to his not being keen on a move to England.}

Does anyone else hate the phrase "keeping a watching brief"? It seems our idea of a watching brief is watching the player go to another club, whilst doing nothing. It's getting really annoying, at least to me, especially with Mata seeming heading to arsenal. I know the eda say don't believe everything you hear, but I'm hearing it a lot... {Ed02's Note - I can probably help you as it looks like Chelsea have dropped any interest they had in Mata now.}

Ed am I right in thinking that AVB is thinking of using Lampard in the holding role until Essien returns? Good idea if so as he can spray a 50 yard ball from a deeper position and drop it on either wing with his eyes closed. {Ed018's Note - it may be a good idea, but i do question lampards defensive abilities.}

I agree Lampard is caught out alot when the opposition run at him
